Japan isn't limited to Ginza as a commercial district; Shinjuku and Shibuya are also good options. Each has its own unique characteristics, but they share the commonality of being more approachable and down-to-earth compared to Ginza.
Even before they left the station, Miwako and Kōyū had already foreseen the crowded streets.
Everyone says shopping can improve your mood, and that's certainly true. Once we got to the shopping street, Miwako's smile never faded, and she became more talkative.
However, this is only possible if you have the financial means; otherwise, shopping will only increase your stress.
Miyu and Miwako weaved through the crowd. There were quite a few people, so just to be on the safe side, Miwako held Miyu's hand.
After finishing their ramen at a noodle shop, the two strolled along the street. Miwako would occasionally pull Kōyū into small shops along the roadside to look at trinkets, toys, and other small items. However, Miwako rarely went into the designer brands.
The saying "When there are many people, there is bound to be chaos" seems especially true in these bustling commercial areas. The two were choosing small accessories in the store. Kōyū wanted to buy a small gift for Ayaka, but a loud shout outside the store made Kōyū's lips twitch, while Miwako was extremely excited.
"There's a thief!"
The moment she heard that sound, Miwako dashed out of the store, not even having time to put down the jewelry in her hands.
Seeing the shop owner's seemingly bewildered expression, Guangyou pulled out a few coins from his pocket, placed them on the counter, and said to the owner, "Sorry, keep the change."
After saying that, he ran out in the direction Miwako had gone.
The shopkeeper held the coins in his hand, and at a glance, he knew how much they were worth. Watching the figure disappear into the distance, he was filled with regret: "That one cost five hundred yen, and you gave me three hundred and forty yen. Am I supposed to give you change? Where's the justice?"
Guangyou couldn't hear the boss's complaints. He had just casually pulled out some coins without even looking at the amount, and he was now weaving through the crowd.
From the commotion in the crowd, Kōsuke discerned the route Miwako was chasing.
Following the trail, Guangyou discovered what appeared to be injured people in the crowd, with someone anxiously making a phone call, presumably calling an ambulance. This saved Guangyou some time from making his own call.
Kōyū vaguely saw Miwako's retreating figure in the crowd. There were so many people in front of her that if he tried to squeeze through, everyone would probably disappear.
Guangyou glanced around and then ran into a nearby alley.
With no one in the alley, Guangyou was able to run at full speed. After running for a while, Guangyou dashed out of the alley.
There were far fewer people here, and Guangyou's field of vision was also wider. Miwako was chasing after a man who was carrying a leather bag in one hand and a knife in the other.
He dared not run on the street, so he could only escape on the sidewalk, threatening innocent passersby with a knife.
Pedestrians consciously gave way. As Miwako's view gradually cleared, she frowned, stopped, took off her high heels and threw them on the side of the road, then started walking after them.
Seeing this, Kōyū stepped forward and picked up the high heels amidst the strange looks from passersby, then continued chasing after Miwako.
With her shoes off, Miwako seemed to have broken free of a seal, and the distance between the two of them slowly closed at a visible speed.
A dozen seconds later, when Miwako was only half a meter away from the prisoner, she reached out her right hand, grabbed the prisoner's collar, and pulled him backward with great force.
She took a small step closer to the prisoner, grabbed the prisoner's right arm above the collar with her left hand, and released her right hand from the collar, while simultaneously placing her right hand under the prisoner's left armpit on his back.
The preparations were now complete. Miwako's expression was solemn. She squatted down slightly, leaning her body away from the prisoner, her hands still moving firmly.
She lifted a tall, thin adult man into the air, executing a perfectly executed waist-grabbing over-the-shoulder throw.
The prisoner landed headfirst, and the knife and bag in his hand flew to the side of the road. Fortunately, the onlookers retreated in time, and no one was accidentally injured.
Miwako pulled a pair of handcuffs from her pocket and cuffed the man.
At that moment, Kōyū also caught up with the two by pushing through the crowd. He put the shoes aside, looked at Miwako's hand, and asked, "Miwako-neechan, is your hand alright?"
Miwako frowned and replied, "It's alright, it's just a little painful right now, but it's bearable."
Guangyou can now see that what was stolen was a stylish leather bag with a new design, and the brand logo on it is a golden ginkgo leaf.
Looking at that familiar logo, Kwang-yu was in a daze for a moment.
"Kuangyou, I need to take this person to the nearby police station. Please return the purse to its owner." Miwako put on her shoes and said apologetically, "I'm so sorry, I was just taking you out to have fun today, but this happened."
Guangyou nodded in understanding: "It's okay, Miwako-neechan, remember to clean your hands again when you deliver it later."
As Miwako dragged the man away, the surrounding crowd applauded enthusiastically. Kōyū stepped forward, picked up the bag, and stroked the ginkgo leaf, recalling that heart-wrenching love affair.
"Now that I'm here, I can't leave with any regrets."
Guangyou sighed, reached out and brushed the dust off his bag, then walked back the way he came.
At the entrance of that shop, a slender young woman leaned against the wall, looking dejected. A girl beside her was comforting her, but her shoulders were still trembling slightly, as if she were crying silently.
"Sister, your bag has been found."
