Professor's Home
Watching the culprit being taken away, Ai's heart grew heavier, and tears welled up in her eyes. Ignoring Conan's greetings, she asked, "Why? Why didn't you save my sister back then!"
Tears streamed down her cheeks and dripped to the ground. Ai screamed hoarsely, "Don't you understand? Hirota Masami is the pseudonym Professor Hirota gave my sister!"
Conan's pupils dilated, then he calmed down again: "You mean Hirota Masami, the robber of the 1 billion yen? She's not dead."
Hearing this, Ai's tears stopped abruptly, and she blinked her big, watery eyes: "What did you say?"
Conan nodded: "I remember that day, Kōsuke went out early in the morning saying he had something important to do. I asked him desperately but couldn't get the answer. Later, when I came back and told him about it, he told me with certainty that your sister Hirota, no, Miyano Akemi, did not die."
Ai's mood was like a rollercoaster. She was eager to go back and ask Mitsuyoshi if it was as Conan said, so she urged Dr. Agasa to drive back.
As soon as the three arrived at the doctor's house, Ai couldn't wait to push the door open.
The first thing she saw when she opened the door was Guangyou carrying a bowl of food and placing it on the table.
She rushed to Guangyou and asked, "Is my sister alright?"
Kōyū glanced at the embarrassed Conan behind him, and nodded affirmatively under Ai's expectant gaze.
When Ai heard that her sister was alright, tears welled up in her eyes again.
Kōyū handed over a piece of paper and said, "We'll talk about the details over dinner. Damn it, Conan, Dr. Agasa, you two awful guys!"
Just as Mitsuyu was about to invite Conan and Dr. Agasa to dinner, he turned around and found that the two of them were already eating heartily, and the rice was almost gone.
If Guangyou hadn't made too much, he wouldn't have had anything to eat.
Conan and the professor rubbed their bellies, let out a satisfied burp, and slumped onto the sofa.
Guangyou ate his meal carefully, recounting the situation at the time and his own circumstances.
After hearing this, Ai suddenly understood: "No wonder Gin and Vodka came back injured that day."
"Gurgle"
The sudden sound coming from Ai's belly made her blush slightly.
Guangyou took a bite of rice and said, "Eat your food now, and I'll take you to see your sister tomorrow."
Upon hearing the second half of the sentence, her eyes lit up instantly, and she immediately picked up her chopsticks and started eating.
...
The next day, Mitsuyoshi was dragged out of bed by Ai. Ai seemed very impatient and urged Mitsuyoshi to wash up quickly so she could take him to see Akemi.
Kōyū brought Ai to the apartment. Seeing Ai's excited expression, Kōyū knocked on Akemi's door.
Who is it?
Akemi pushed open the door and saw a very cute little boy. She squatted down and pinched Kōyū's cheek: "Little boy, you're so cute!"
Guangyou's face darkened, and he said, "I just wasn't wearing a robe!"
"Are you really that much of a child?!"
Only then did Mingmei realize that the person under the robe was so small.
"elder sister!"
Ai, who was behind them, couldn't control her emotions and spoke up.
Upon hearing this, Mingmei looked up and her image gradually overlapped with that of her younger sister in her mind.
Her eyes instantly welled up with tears: "Shiho!"
The two embraced tightly, silent yet heartwarming.
Seeing this scene, Guangyou smiled.
A few minutes later, Akemi and Ai finally recovered from their joy at being reunited.
Akemi looked at Kōyū with a gentle gaze: "Thank you, Kōyū."
Akemi had just learned about Kōyū's situation from Ai, and out of curiosity, she asked, "Why didn't you just tell me who you were back then?"
Kōyū looked at Akemi as if she were an idiot: "If you knew a little kid was going to save you from Gin, would you believe it?"
Akemi gave an awkward laugh: "That's true, hehe."
Guangyou stood up and said, "I won't disturb your reunion any longer. I'll go buy some groceries first, and I'll cook lunch today!"
Watching Kwangyu leave, Akemi said, "Kwangyu can cook?"
Ai nodded affirmatively: "The taste is not bad."
A hint of mockery suddenly appeared on Akemi's face: "Shiho, I suspect he likes you."
Ai blushed, but didn't say anything. Ever since she entered the classroom yesterday, Ai had felt Kōyō's burning gaze.
However, she didn't think about it too much at the time. Later that night, after learning about Guangyou's situation, she didn't pay attention to anything else because of her sister's situation.
Now that she's sitting down and thinking about it, she's also feeling a bit troubled. She doesn't know how to deal with Guangyou's feelings for her.
It's impossible for her not to feel anything; Guangyou, who saved her sister, also holds a place in her heart.
She couldn't be sure about the unusual feelings she had, but she had a pretty good impression of Guangyou.
Since she couldn't think of anything, she decided to stop thinking about it for now. Ai successfully diverted Akemi's attention with other topics, and the room was filled with the laughter of the two sisters from time to time.
Soon, Guangyou returned from grocery shopping and served the two of them a table of exquisite dishes, performing at 120% of his usual standard. The two thanked Guangyou with the empty plates they had left behind.
The two sisters chatted until after 2 p.m. When Kōyū saw that it was almost time, he called to Ai to prepare to go back to Professor Agasa's house.
Seeing that Ai was reluctant to leave, Kōyū persuaded her, "Your sister is still alive, and you'll see her again in the future. If you stay any longer, the organization might sneak over again one day."
Ai wasn't unreasonable; she considered the pros and cons, and although she was reluctant, she had no choice but to leave.
