"Thump!"
A glass full of beer was slammed onto the table.
The crowd looked in the direction of the sound and saw a man with bronze skin wearing glasses. There was a band-aid on the man's left eyebrow near his temple.
"Your draft beer has arrived."
After the man finished speaking, he turned and left.
Michiwaki Masahiko thanked him while chewing on a cigarette.
When Guangyou saw the man, he smacked his lips and said, "This is the man who was the strongest fighter in the original story? If it weren't for this body, I would love to fight him."
As the strongest fighter in the original work, Makoto Kyogoku has won 400 consecutive karate matches and is known as the "Kicking Prince". He can dodge rifle bullets and, with obstructed vision, catch BBs fired by 11 policemen and knock them all down.
This impressive record always gave Guangyou a strong urge to fight him.
Of course, this applies to adults; for a little kid like this, forget about it.
"This clerk has terrible service," Masahiko Michiwaki complained, taking a sip of his beer.
Sonoko looked at Makoto Kyogoku with some anger.
Xiaolan pondered for a moment and asked, "I feel like I've seen that shop assistant somewhere before, but I can't remember where."
Sonoko replied, "Isn't he the owner of the hotel we're staying at? I heard he came back to help out because it's summer vacation."
"Sonoko, how do you know about this kind of thing?" Ran was somewhat surprised by Sonoko's information network.
Sonoko explained, "He kept staring at us from the door yesterday. I only found out by asking the hotel staff."
"I think the owner of the Wawu Inn where we stayed is the same person as the owner of this one."
Kōyū took a sip of juice and added, "That shop assistant is your idol, Makoto Kyogoku, Ran-neechan."
"What? Makoto Kyogoku!" Ran exclaimed excitedly upon hearing the name.
Seeing Ran's excited expression, Conan, a little jealous, nudged Kōsuke and asked, "Who's Kyogoku Makoto?"
Kōyū grinned slightly: "He's a karate master."
"Just a karate expert, Ran is one too."
"To put it bluntly, he could easily beat Xiaolan and break a stone pillar with his bare hands."
Upon hearing this, Conan broke out in a cold sweat.
When Michiwaki Masahiko heard that everyone was staying at the Kawara Ryokan, he was pleasantly surprised and said, "Karaya Ryokan? It's right next to my hotel! We can go to that nice restaurant by the sea for dinner tonight! I'll drive over and pick you up!"
Sonoko naturally agreed with great delight.
"Oh, right, remember to bring your cameras!" Masahiko Michiwaki said, remembering something.
Sonoko was puzzled: "Why did you bring a camera?"
Masahiko Michiwaki's expression darkened, his face turning sinister: "Because there's a story about a woman with brown hair who was stabbed in the abdomen a year ago. It's said that the accident happened on her way to a restaurant. Because of a lack of eyewitnesses, the investigation is still ongoing."
"Later, as time went by, everyone gradually forgot about the incident, and the shop's business recovered. However, it seems that the person was still haunted by an obsession. It is said that you can capture the lady's soul with a camera in that shop!"
Ran and Sonoko both looked frightened, especially Ran. Although she was strong in combat, she was most afraid of monsters and demons.
"Spreading rumors and misleading the public," Conan and Mitsuyu said in unison.
"etc!"
Guangyou's pupils shrank sharply: "Brown!"
Glancing at Sonoko, Kōyū had a hunch: "Sonoko's hair is also brown. A coincidence? Why don't I find it hard to believe? I want to see what you're up to!"
"Anyway, Kyogoku Makoto is here, so he's safe. I reckon he was behind that case before. Now we have no evidence, so we can only hope for God's blessing!"
At this moment, Sonoko is introducing Ran's fiancé to Michiwaki Masahiko, saying, "My good friend's boyfriend is a detective!"
There was a hint of unease in Michiwaki Masahiko's eyes.
At this moment, Kyogoku Makoto, who was not very polite, brought out everyone's fried noodles.
Guangyou took a bowl and started eating: "Wow, this tastes good, not greasy at all, great!"
Ran wanted to greet her idol, but Makoto Kyogoku put down his yakisoba and turned away without giving her a chance to speak.
Upon hearing this rumor, Ran didn't want to go, but Masahiko Michiwaki was trying to persuade her.
He took the report from a middle-aged man next to him and said loudly, "We've found it again! We've found the body of the brown-haired girl in the woods next to the tracks!"
Guangyou abruptly stopped eating his fried noodles, but then resumed eating them.
After finishing their meal, Kōyū followed Conan and ran out of the restaurant ahead of them, ready to go and check out the scene.
Upon arriving at the scene, a large crowd had already gathered around it.
Looking at the corpses lying in pools of blood in the woods, Guangyou couldn't help but feel a little sorry.
The dead girl with brown hair was stunningly beautiful, but her face was contorted with resentment and rage. Her clothes were disheveled, and it was obvious to anyone what she had gone through in her life.
Sonoko looked at the scene with some fear. As someone with brown hair, she felt uneasy and panicked that she might be attacked by the perpetrator.
Michiwaki Masahiko patted Sonoko's shoulder considerately: "Don't worry, I'll protect you while you're in Izu. But we'll have to change the place for dinner tonight."
Sonoko nodded in agreement, while Ran said, "Sonoko, let's not bring the camera."
After this incident, Sonoko agreed not to bring a camera.
Guangyou looked back and saw a fat man walking slowly away from the crowd with his hands in his pockets.
"This fat guy was watching earlier. I thought he was a tourist, but it seems he has some secrets he doesn't know about."
After comforting Sonoko, Michiwaki Masahiko said goodbye and left first.
