Chapter 89 And you, have me!

"Silly girl." Kōyū chuckled softly, knowing that Ai had had that nightmare and that what she was saying at this moment was just a cover-up.

Walking up to Ai, Kōyū took her hand and said, "Let's go, I'll take you to the infirmary."

Under Mitsuhiko's envious gaze, he pulled the somewhat bewildered Ai away from the classroom.

Ai was pulled to the side of the corridor by Kōyū: "Why did you bring me here?"

"Did you have a nightmare?"

Kōyū's words startled Ai: "No, nothing."

She was completely oblivious to the helplessness that filled her voice.

Suddenly, Guangyou hugged her, leaving her mind blank.

"Silly girl, you're my sun, you shouldn't think like that."

These words seemed to provoke Ai, who pushed Kōyō away, saying, "You wouldn't understand!"

The firmness in his tone surprised Kwangyu a little. After a few seconds, Kwangyu smiled and said, "I understand."

No, you don't understand!

How do you know I don't understand?

Ai didn't know how to answer for a moment, so Kōyū pulled her to the stairs next to him and gestured for her to sit down.

"Let me tell you a story." Ignoring Ai's request, Kōyū began, "There was a little boy who suffered discrimination from his parents since childhood, but he remained cheerful until he turned eighteen..."

The story caught Ai's attention: "And then what happened?"

"Listen to me, it's not good to interrupt others." When Kōyū saw that Ai was interested in the story, a barely perceptible smile appeared on his lips.

"When the boy was eighteen, he met a girl whose surname was Li."

Ai grasped the key point, asking about the surname: "Li? Is he Chinese or Japanese?"

"Chinese people, don't worry about these details." Guangyou's eyes were filled with nostalgia. "The boy fell in love with the girl at first sight and soon prepared to pursue her, but the girl neither agreed nor refused, as if she was keeping the boy in suspense."

"The boy realized that he might not be good enough, and he was secretly saddened. However, not long after, he went to a more open country to clear his mind."

"Originally, the boy only wanted to go for a short time, but unexpectedly, something happened. He stayed abroad for ten years. When he returned to China with a glimmer of hope, he found that the girl had already become a wife."

"Ten years of hard work have made him grow a lot. He just laughs at himself and quietly leaves. He wants to use the many skills he has learned to find a corner in the city to survive."

"However, life is unpredictable, and the harsh realities of society drove him to withdraw into seclusion, so he chose to end his own life."

At this point, Guangyou's eyes became a little moist.

Ai sensed that feeling in his words and tentatively asked, "Was that boy you?"

"You can think of it that way if you want." Kōyū didn't directly tell Ai that this was his story. "Then do you know why I'm telling you this seemingly unrelated story?"

Ai shook her head, and Kōyū looked directly at her: "The boy had no one who cared about him until he died. He was just a moon without a sun. But you, you have Conan, Ayumi, Genta, and Mitsuhiko by your side!"

"And besides, you still have me!"

Ai seemed moved by what Kousuke said and suddenly smiled: "Okay!"

"What are you two doing here?"

The sudden sound shattered the harmonious atmosphere between the two.

Guangyou slowly turned his head to look, and after seeing the person, he swallowed hard: "Teacher Xiaolin, um, would you believe me if I said I was just passing by?"

With a gentle smile, Kobayashi Sumiko asked, "Kuyoshi, what do you think?"
