Chapter 624 It's all about the battle!
After resting for a while, the group paid the bill and went back. Since some people in the convoy hadn't eaten yet, Chen Feng suggested they go for a walk to digest their food.
Since Qi Minglin and the others had nothing else to do, they started walking around the street.
"There's even a milk tea shop here," Qi Minglin said with some surprise.
“This place is poor, but it’s not out of touch with society. How could there not be a bubble tea shop?” Li Guanghao rolled his eyes at her helplessly.
Qi Minglin scratched her head and smiled upon hearing this. Indeed, she had been overthinking things; there were still many students drinking milk tea in the shop.
After wandering around for quite some time, Chen Feng was basically certain that there were no rare earth mines in the city, so he said, "They should be back by now, let's go."
"Okay, let's go back. Um... how do we go back?" Qi Minglin looked up at the street in front of her and was completely dumbfounded.
They were wandering around aimlessly, forgetting to remember road signs, turning at every turn and squeezing into every gap in the road.
Now I've completely forgotten how to get back.
"Really, you can get lost just by strolling around." Chen Feng glanced at Qi Minglin speechlessly and took out his phone.
"What, you memorized the road signs?" Qi Minglin looked at Chen Feng in surprise. She didn't expect Chen Feng to be so meticulous.
"No, I'll call the driver and ask him to take us back. Let me check the map to see where we are," Chen Feng said, rummaging through the map.
"I'm so angry... and you still have the nerve to talk back to me like that, as if you didn't lose anything." Qi Minglin was furious and said fiercely.
“I’m lost, but I can find my way home,” Chen Feng said, sending his location to the driver.
"Yes, I know. Not only can you find your way home, but you also know how to use an umbrella when it rains," Qi Minglin said sarcastically.
"I usually don't go out when it rains," Chen Feng replied casually.
"Go to hell..."
When Chen Feng wasn't looking, Qi Minglin mouthed a curse at him, afraid that he would hear it.
The driver found them about twenty minutes later and picked them up.
"Hey, what brings you guys here?" the driver asked as they got on the bus.
"Just wandering around. Have they all come back yet?" Qi Minglin asked.
"You're back. We've been waiting for you," the driver said.
“Okay, let’s go then. Chen Feng, where are we going next?” Qi Minglin asked, turning around.
"Let's just go straight into the mountains and see what's going on there," Chen Feng said casually.
"Alright, let's go into the mountains then."
Under Chen Feng's command, the group gathered and headed into Dragon Phoenix Mountain.
"Where should we stop?" the driver asked as he drove along the rough dirt road.
"Just find a place to park anywhere. That'll do for tonight. I'll study the map first," Chen Feng said, looking at his phone.
"good."
The driver pulled the car over to the side of the dirt road and drove a short distance further in.
This is a wasteland, and they plan to set up camp here today.
Everyone got off the vehicle together; some set up tents, while others chopped wood.
Chen Feng then moved a chair over and leaned against it, studying the map.
He plans to plan a route to see how to explore Longfeng Mountain in the shortest way.
As he looked around, Chen Feng activated the system and searched the surroundings. Since there was no response, it proved that this was not the exact location.
Next, Chen Feng carefully studied and planned the map. In about an hour, he used his current location as the starting point to plan a road.
"Are we having dinner tonight?" Chen Feng put down his phone, stretched, and asked Qi Minglin, who was reading a book.
"I'm not eating anymore, I'm on a diet. If you're hungry, just eat whatever you want," Qi Minglin said, turning a page of her book.
"Bullshit, dieting? You ate four of those big lamb chops yourself, and you could barely walk outside. You're still dieting?" Chen Feng ruthlessly exposed her.
Upon hearing this, Qi Minglin blushed.
"Get out of here! Don't you have anything important to do? If not, go back to your pigsty and go to sleep!"
"I'm not going to sleep, I'll make you angry." Chen Feng pouted and went to play with Li Chunlai.
"Damn it, if it weren't for the fact that you're helping the country find minerals, I would have killed you."
Seeing Chen Feng leave, Qi Minglin covered her face with a book and muttered fiercely in a low voice.
And so, when it was time for everyone to rest, they all crawled into their tents to sleep. The next day, before Chen Feng had even woken up, he heard someone cursing and swearing.
Chen Feng couldn't quite make out what was being said, especially since the person swearing had an accent.
"What's going on?" Still half asleep, Chen Feng put on his clothes, opened the tent, and went outside to ask.
"I didn't know this was your land. Can't we just go somewhere else?"
"No, these are all weeds, what's wrong with pressing them down?" Qi Minglin was completely exasperated; she had never seen such a difficult old lady.
Early in the morning, this middle-aged woman arrived with her boss. As soon as they arrived, they started kicking their tents and banging on their car windows.
After all that cursing, the gist of it was: who are you people from? Why are you compacting their land so much that no crops can grow?
No matter how Ren Qiminglin explained, it was no use. The old woman just kept cursing and swearing. If it weren't for the instructions from above to avoid conflicts with the local residents, Qiminglin would have already lost his temper.
"You damn fools, where did you come from? Who sent you to humiliate us? Tell me, tell me!"
"I'll curse you all to death today, you'll see! Get out of here, and not only get out, this isn't over yet!" the old woman continued cursing, pointing her finger at Qi Minglin's nose.
"you…"
Just as Qi Minglin was about to lose her temper, Chen Feng put on his coat and walked over.
"What are you doing? Let's talk this out. We've already pressured you, so just tell us what you want to do." Chen Feng gestured for Qi Minglin to leave so he could talk to her himself.
"Speak to your mother! What's the point of talking to you? You two scoundrels, you think letting her go will make everything alright? If you don't give me an explanation today, this isn't over!" The old woman jumped up and pointed at Chen Feng's nose, cursing.
"Fuck your mother, you old bastard, have I been too lenient with you? I just pressed down on him, what are you going to do about it!"
"You son of a bitch, you're really pushing your luck, aren't you? If you swear again, I'll run you over with my car, you hear me?!"
"Would it kill you to step on your land? Your land is so barren it's practically bare, not even a hair's breadth away, and you're still making a fuss!"
"If you keep babbling, give me the car keys!" Chen Feng shouted angrily as he turned around.
"Hey, hey, Chen Feng, don't do that! Damn it! We have rules that we can't have conflicts with the local residents!" Qi Minglin, who had only taken a few steps, was so frightened by this that she jumped back.
She thought Chen Feng really wanted to discuss and resolve this issue properly, but she didn't expect his words to be so astonishing that they gave Qi Minglin goosebumps.
"You don't know anything, you old woman, go stand over there." Chen Feng gave Qi Minglin a look, signaling her to stop talking nonsense.
