Chapter 83 The Ambitious Old Lady

Once everyone got home, they all started getting to work.

Some people were fetching water, others were washing buckets, and some were even bringing food from home and packing it in bags.

After the water was collected, it was delivered directly to Huang Fei's car. At first, Huang Fei would lock the car door and open it when someone came. Later, he simply opened the car door and let whoever wanted to put anything in it, without even looking at it.

Overnight, the amount of stuff in the car visibly increased.

When it was time to go to bed, Huang Fei came out and looked at the van full of people, and couldn't help but sigh.

Luckily, we only brought seven people this time, so there was still room to put our things. Otherwise, if there were ten people, there wouldn't be enough room to sit down, and there wouldn't be anywhere to put our things.

The next morning, Chen Feng woke up from his sleep. No one disturbed Huang Fei. Even Huang Fei's family knew that he was going to drive that night, so they kept their voices down and wanted him to sleep a little longer and get enough rest.

"What time are you leaving?" Liu Ping asked, finding Chen Feng a thick coat.

"I don't know, we're just waiting for Dafei to call us, but I estimate it won't be until four or five in the evening."

Chen Feng thought for a moment and then said.

"Okay, then go sell the refrigerator. Otherwise, it's getting in the way of the refrigerator in the yard." Liu Ping said, hands on her hips, looking at the refrigerator in the yard.

"Okay, I'll call Lin Nian over and have him help me lift it." Chen Feng took out his phone and made a voice call to Lin Nian.

Lin Nian received the call and rushed over shortly after.

"Brother, I heard you're going to another province to pan for gold, is that exciting?" Lin Nian seemed very excited.

"Goodness, you knew all along?" Chen Feng raised an eyebrow and smiled.

"How could we not know? The whole village knew about it long ago. Everyone knew even before you went to the county town." Lin Nian gave him a look that said, "You're so out of touch."

"Brother, can you take me? I want to go too." Lin Nian longed for the life of a gold prospector.

He had been wanting Chen Feng to take him out to play, but Chen Feng hadn't agreed, as it hadn't been convenient for him the last few times.

However, in his spare time, Chen Feng lent him the detector so he could wander around the village aimlessly.

Even though Lin Nian couldn't find anything, he was still very excited and full of energy, which made Chen Feng sigh.

This is the real gold rush miracle body; I'm just a fake.

“There will be another opportunity next time. This time it’s too far. We don’t even know if it will work. Besides, it will take a week. This is not an abandoned mine. It’s not a joke,” Chen Feng said solemnly.

"But you didn't take me to the abandoned mine either..." Lin Nian's eyes were somewhat resentful.

Chen Feng: "..."

"That's not important, help me carry the refrigerator first." Chen Feng coughed lightly, changing the subject.

"Okay." Lin Nian obediently helped lift the refrigerator.

Chen Feng put the angle iron into the refrigerator, making it easier to carry.

The two of them strolled leisurely to Mrs. Zhang's house. Mrs. Zhang's yard was piled high with empty aluminum cans, cardboard boxes, and other junk.

"Grandma Zhang, you've come to help." Chen Feng called out as he entered the courtyard.

Mrs. Zhang was smashing something on the ground when she heard this. She turned around and stared at the large refrigerator in surprise.

"What, you don't want it anymore?" Old Mrs. Zhang hadn't received such a large shipment in a long time, so she put down the hammer she was holding and came over.

"We don't want it anymore, it's broken. How much does it cost?" Chen Feng and his companion put the refrigerator in the yard and couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief.

"Thirty yuan, for both sizes." This is the uniform price that Mrs. Zhang buys.

"Do you believe I can get you to give me forty?" Chen Feng said seriously, patting the refrigerator.

Mrs. Zhang looked puzzled and shook her head vigorously, saying, "Impossible, child. All refrigerators are only sold for thirty yuan. Even if they're big, they're useless and worthless."

"you…"

Before she could finish speaking, Chen Feng opened the refrigerator door and handed the angle iron inside to Mrs. Zhang.

When Mrs. Zhang saw the angle iron, she understood what Chen Feng meant. She reached out and lifted it; it was indeed quite heavy and felt it was worth ten yuan.

"You brat, always trying to provoke me, an old lady. I told you the refrigerator is only thirty, how could it be worth forty?" Mrs. Zhang turned her head and grumbled.

"If you threw a piece of gold in there, the refrigerator would be worth over a thousand."

The old lady spoke even more bluntly, and Chen Feng and Lin Nian exchanged a glance and chuckled.

After weighing it, it was indeed worth ten yuan. Old Mrs. Zhang went into the house and took out a somewhat dirty forty yuan and handed it to Chen Feng.

"Hey Chen, I heard you've struck it rich lately. Can you give me some advice? Do you think it would be good if I started buying gold banks too?"

Mrs. Zhang looked at Chen Feng with some expectation in her eyes.

"What, you're going to venture into the metals industry?" Chen Feng asked in surprise.

The old lady wasn't very big, but she had quite a lot of ambition.

"What are you talking about? I've never been in the metals industry, and I've never left," Mrs. Zhang said, waving her hand dismissively.

Looking at the yard full of scrap metal and junk, Chen Feng felt that this statement was indeed true.

Scrap iron and gold seem to be no different.

It's just that one costs one yuan per kilogram and the other costs two hundred thousand yuan per kilogram, there's not much difference.

Chen Feng understood that Old Mrs. Zhang had seen that they had found some goods and was now thinking of reselling them. Since they were from the same village, she wanted Chen Feng to sell the goods to her.

Then she goes out to sell.

"That's a good idea, but don't think about it again next time," Chen Feng encouraged Mrs. Zhang.

"Why? Because I have experience. I've been collecting recyclables for twenty years," Mrs. Zhang said, still somewhat unwilling to give up.

"Aren't those things all weighed and then sold to larger stores?"

Hearing this, Chen Feng smiled and shook his head, saying, "Grandma Zhang, she owns her own gold shop, so she can receive goods every day, and she can even make jewelry out of the goods and sell it."

"Besides, they also cooperate with big gold shops. Where are you going to put the gold after you collect it? If you rely on the little we find, it's questionable whether you can even make a living."

"And even if someone does ask you to sell goods, you've never done this before. Do you dare to accept them indiscriminately? You might be willing to accept thousands or tens of thousands of dollars worth of gold each time. Do you have that much money?"

"Just take your aluminum can, it'll save you the trouble. Those things are never fake."

Chen Feng simply told her to give up and blurted out everything.

After listening to Chen Feng's analysis, Grandma Zhang clearly felt it was a pity and shook her head: "Sigh, I thought I could become a gold shop tycoon, but it seems it's all over again."

Upon hearing this, Lin Nian immediately added, "Becoming a gold shop tycoon will be a tough journey for you, but with a little more effort, you can definitely become a can tycoon."

Grandma Zhang laughed upon hearing this: "Soda can tycoon, fine too. Young man Chen, next time you find something like this, don't forget to sell it to me."

"Okay, you're the only one in our village that charges for products, so I don't have a choice."

"Let's go, Grandma Zhang." Chen Feng chuckled and walked back with Lin Nian.

"good."

Mrs. Zhang looked at the refrigerator, probably figuring out where to start.

"By the way, brother, why are there three small shops in our village, but only one that collects garbage?" Lin Nian asked, somewhat puzzled.

"Because our village can only train one person to collect recyclables. The second one starves to death before he can be trained," Chen Feng grinned.

After all, there isn't that much garbage to collect, so Mrs. Zhang sometimes has to go to other villages to compete for business.
