Chapter Fifty-Seven: The Zombie King (Part Twelve)
"Yan Jing, what are you afraid of?" Lu Lingjun followed Gu Yan Jing's gaze to the rat that had just run out of the hole, his eyes smiling, yet he asked knowingly.
"You, you, Lu Lingjun, don't go too far." Gu Yanjing's whole body stiffened. Hearing the teasing in the man's voice beside her, she wished she could slap him.
“If Yan Jing is really scared, you can jump into my arms and I will catch you.” Lu Lingjun remained still, but opened his arms to Gu Yan Jing.
Gu Yanjing: ...What the hell are you talking about?
In the end, Lu Lingjun took the divine sword that represented his position as the Phoenix Clan Chief and carried the bewildered dead rat out.
There was also one of Gu Yanjing's footprints on his back.
Gu Yanjing couldn't stand staying in that room. Sitting there, he felt like there were rats running in front of him, which was disgusting.
However, as soon as the two of them went out, they flew away on their swords to find Qin Xiao and the others who had come in.
The main force remained outside, while a few of the superhumans went in alone to check the situation.
Sure enough, they saw Lu Lingjun, who had been empty-handed just moments before, holding a gleaming sword, picking at—well, it really was a dead rat.
A man dressed in red followed not far behind Lu Lingjun, his face as sour as excrement.
Gu Yanjing: Who the hell are you calling like shit? Who?
Just then, Gu Congxin, who had washed herself clean and wrung herself out, flew back and watched eagerly as Gu Yanjing was about to jump onto his emperor's shoulder.
As a result, Gu Yanjing slapped him away through the air.
It's filthy.
"Is there something you need?" Lu Lingjun tossed the dead rat on his sword to Gu Congxin, who had been swatted away, indicating that it was his food.
Gu Congxin: ...If I weren't outmatched by you, I would have jumped up and pecked your knees long ago.
Gu Congxin glanced at Lu Lingjun, who was smiling, and then at Gu Yanjing, who had a sour face. Instantly, he imagined himself with a desolate lighting, accompanied by the song "A Plum Blossom," and then, lifelessly carrying a dead rat, he flew away forlornly.
Sure enough, once a man gets into a gay relationship, he forgets about his adorable system, sob sob.
Nan Wan'er: Damn, so dramatic.
"It's nothing, I just came in to see what resources we still have." Qin Xiao sensed danger when Gu Yanjing made his move, but he held back and smiled as he spoke to Lu Lingjun.
"**What happened? Apart from the houses, almost everything here was burned to the ground." Lu Lingjun sheathed his sword out of thin air and shook his head with a smile.
Then he continued to ask Qin Xiao, "Are you staying here or leaving for somewhere else?"
Gu Yanjing's expression shifted slightly. He glanced at Lu Lingjun's retreating figure but remained silent.
"Let's go somewhere else. There are too few of us; we can't possibly live here." Qin Xiao thought for a moment, then decided to keep it a secret.
After all, for those two, killing a whole group of them would be as easy as crushing a swarm of ants.
It all depends on their wishes.
"Would you mind if we joined us? We don't know where we're going either. If possible, we'd like to travel around with you."
Lu Lingjun looked very interested.
Gu Yanjing remained silent, watching Lu Lingjun, who was wearing a mask of kindness, blatantly lying through his teeth.
"If you two are willing to join, that would be wonderful. However, who is Mr. Lu's companion?" Qin Xiao's gaze finally fell on Gu Yanjing.
The man was incredibly handsome, yet he possessed a sharp and fierce aura.
"Oh, you mean Yan Jing? He's my Daoist partner. Since you call me Mr. Lu, you can call him Mr. Gu as well." Lu Lingjun smiled and took a step to the side, dodging Gu Yan Jing's flying sword.
But the sword seemed to have eyes, and with a whoosh, it turned around and struck Lu Lingjun's shoulder, splattering blood everywhere.
"If you keep talking nonsense again, I'll kill you again." Gu Yan raised his hand, and the sword flew back into his hand automatically.
Qing* seemed to have been unleashed into a violent mode by the words "Daoist partner," his eyes filled with murderous intent.
