Lunch was at a restaurant in Longhu Tianjie, with two private rooms, one for men and one for women.
Shen Yun insisted on sitting with Ying Qian. She admitted that she was a clingy person; she would cling to her brother when he was around and to Ying Qian when she was around.
"Do you think that woman is pretty?" Shen Yun secretly pointed to the woman standing by the window taking pictures.
Her long, soft hair cascaded down her back like flowing water, and beneath her short skirt were her straight, slender legs. She turned her head to the side, half-closing her eyes as she gazed at the bustling traffic outside the window. A soft sigh escaped her lips, and every smile and frown was captivating.
With her exquisitely beautiful features, that woman possessed a classic beauty, a cool and aloof demeanor, and was quite unique.
"She's so beautiful!" Ying Qian exclaimed in admiration. "She has a great figure too. I'd love to ask for her contact information!"
Watching from afar, the woman remained oblivious, casually tucking her hair behind her ear. Standing there alone, she appeared somewhat lonely.
Shen Yun pursed his lips, seemingly disliking her but also feeling sorry for her. "My brother's girlfriend... I feel like they don't have any feelings for each other..."
"Why do you say that?" Ying Qian asked.
A question arose in his mind: Didn't Chen Wenzhi say that Shen Chang didn't have a girlfriend?
"Look, it's so cold, and my brother didn't even think to put a coat on her." As she spoke, Shen Yunhao said, sounding both annoyed and disappointed. "She really has no taste. She's so beautiful, she could have found anyone, but she had to choose my brother."
“She brings my brother breakfast almost every morning. I really don’t understand why. You just can’t find anything about my brother that makes him likable.”
She was furious. It wasn't that she disliked her brother; she just felt sorry for that person.
In this world, besides her parents, Shen Yun is the person who understands Shen Chang the most. She knows that her brother's affection will not last.
It might not mean much to Chen Chang, but for that girl, it meant wasting several years of her youth.
Listen to her complaints about her older brother.
Ying Qian didn't react much, and said frankly, "Isn't dating just like Zhou Yu beating Huang Gai, one is willing to hit and the other is willing to be hit?"
She shrugged helplessly as she spoke, "Even if there's no future for the two of them, it's still something they both willingly agreed to, isn't it?"
Shen Yun pouted and said, "What you said makes sense... I just feel indignant on behalf of that older sister."
A little color finally returned to her weak, pale face, and she happily pulled Ying Qian to sit down.
"Sister Yingxi, do you have someone you like?"
In an instant, my heart skipped a beat, and time seemed to stand still.
Do I have someone I like?
Ying Qian asked herself, but it seemed there was no answer, yet everything seemed obvious.
She pursed her lips and replied hesitantly, "Yes."
"Oh~" Shen Yun deliberately dragged out his tone to tease her.
She smiled, her bright eyes slightly lowered.
She was just thinking about how to answer Shen Yun's next questions, such as who she liked.
But after a long time, Shen Yun only talked about the restaurant's dishes and didn't mention it again.
Ying Qian breathed a sigh of relief. She didn't understand why she had been so flustered.
Who is that person deep inside my heart?
Who exactly is it?
The gears of fate seem to have already begun to turn.

After lunch, Ren Yi went to the private room where the girls were and knocked on the door.
"Chen Yun, the cake is ready! Do you want to eat it this afternoon, or now?" He pushed open the door and asked in a loud voice.
Shen Yun was playing cards with Ying Qian when she saw Ren Yi leaning against the door frame. She smiled at him and said, "Of course we're not eating now. We'll eat this afternoon."
"Alright!" Ren Yi turned and went out, gently closing the door behind him.
A few boys were smoking together by the window at the end of the corridor. Ren Yi took a lighter out of his pocket and headed in that direction.
Chen Wenzhi felt the private room was too stuffy with the heating on, so he came out for some fresh air. He has never liked the smell of smoke, and as soon as he opened the door, the thick smoke almost choked him to death. He turned around and went back into the private room, angrily opening the window.
Chen Sang drank a can of cocktail, feeling dizzy, and leaned back in his chair for a short rest.
Only the two of them remained in the private room.
"Chen Wenzhi, do you like my sister?" Chen Chang suddenly asked, his eyes still closed, his posture unchanged.
Chen Wenzhi leaned against the windowsill, "Why are you asking this?"
“Aren’t you in the same class?” Chen Chang took a deep breath. “Take good care of her.”
Chen Wenzhi scoffed, "You should ask Ren Yi; he really likes your sister."
The air suddenly became quiet.
For a long time, no one spoke.
The only sound in the private room was faint snoring.
There was another sound; it was Ying Qian opening the door. Her nose was red from the cold, like a tender strawberry. She rubbed her hands together and asked, "Hey, classmate, are you going to see a movie?"
"Do you want me to go?" he asked slowly, turning around.
"Nonsense!" Ying Qian put her hands on her hips, her face serious. "You can't go back on your word! You absolutely can't leave me alone in a group of strangers!"
Chen Wenzhi turned around and closed the window, saying earnestly, "Don't worry, I won't go back on my word."
There was still a faint smell of alcohol in the private room.
Ying Qian wrinkled her nose and sniffed, and when she got close to Chen Wenzhi, she could only smell the faint fragrance of laundry detergent and the usual refreshing mint scent.
He knew what Ying Qian was thinking.
"I didn't drink," Chen Wenzhi said seriously. "I'm a minor."
"Then!" she said, her bright eyes sparkling.
Chen Wenzhi covered her mouth with his large hand and said firmly, "I don't smoke either."
She took two steps back and staggered slightly.
Chen Wenzhi instinctively reached out to help.
She steadied herself, her white skirt swaying gently, her breathing returning to calm.
She said calmly, "You are very different from them."
Chen Wenzhi knew that the "they" she was referring to were the group of smokers. He gently shook his head. "I'm just sticking to my principles."
"Let me make this clear: at this gathering, I only know Chen Chang and Ren Yi. I don't know the rest of them."
Hearing his hurried explanation, Ying Qian's smile deepened. "Why are you telling me all this?"
His face flushed, and he left the private room with his head down, muttering to himself, "Not doing anything..."
"Junior, have you known Chen Wenzhi for a long time?"
Ying Qian turned around abruptly, startled, and bumped into the wall with a thud. She really hadn't noticed Shen Chang!
Chen Chang was stunned for a moment, then burst into laughter.
"I'm sorry, I startled you." He didn't mean to apologize. "You're so silly, but Chen Wenzhi doesn't seem to mind you at all."
Ying Qian snapped out of her daze and began to answer his question, "We've only known each other for a week."
Perhaps surprised, he frowned deeply.
“Chen Wenzhi is excellent in every way and has a good character, but sometimes he doesn’t speak very nicely,” Ying Qian muttered. “Maybe it’s because we haven’t known each other for very long.”
She sighed, "I don't know him very well yet."
Before Chen Chang could continue, Ying Qian smiled optimistically and said, "There's still a long way to go. You have to savor tea slowly to appreciate its flavor."
After saying that, she turned and walked out of the private room.
