Chapter 67 Chu Yunxiao Enters the Space

Liu Anran looked at Chu Yunxiao, whose lips curled slightly and whose deep eyes were filled with laughter, as bright as stars, captivating her.

Chu Yunxiao gently stroked Liu Anran's fair and delicate cheek with his fingers, gazed into her clear and bright eyes, and said softly, "Anran, don't leave me easily in the future. Without you, every day feels like a year." As he spoke, he pressed a kiss on Liu Anran's petal-like red lips.

Liu Anran's lips moved, and she finally said, "Okay!"

As long as Chu Yunxiao doesn't do anything excessive, she won't leave him easily.

Upon hearing Liu Anran's words, Chu Yunxiao's face lit up with a bright smile, his glass-like eyes sparkling.

Seeing Chu Yunxiao's beaming face, Liu Anran smiled as well.

Yunlong looked at Chu Yunxiao and Liu Anran and saw them gazing at each other affectionately, as if they had both forgotten about him, their son.

She pouted unhappily, then helplessly looked away. She glanced at the black dog lying on the ground, and seeing that no one was paying attention to it, she felt a strange sense of sympathy for it.

Chu Yunxiao reached out and hugged Liu Anran. Looking at Yunlong, who was practicing his superpowers, he felt as if the hole in his heart had been patched up. With them, his life was perfect.

Yunlong walked dejectedly to Chu Yunxiao and asked in frustration, "Dad, why am I not as good as you? Am I too useless?"

"Yunlong, don't be discouraged. You're still young, and you've only just awakened your superpower. Your physical condition isn't up to par yet. You need to exercise more and work hard to improve your superpower. You'll definitely be stronger than me in the future," Chu Yunxiao said.

Liu Anran looked at the little boy Yunlong and couldn't help but laugh!

"Mom, what are you laughing at?" Yunlong asked, puzzled.

“Yunlong, your father is a standout among young talents. If you want to be as excellent as him, you must work hard to improve yourself so that you can surpass him,” Liu Anran said.

"How long will that take?" Yunlong asked.

"With patience, even an iron rod can be ground into a needle. You'll surpass your father whenever you grow up," Liu Anran said with a smile.

When will I ever grow up?!

Yunlong hopes he grows up quickly so he can fight zombies and his mother won't have to work so hard.

Liu Anran wanted to tell Yunlong that people grow up day by day, but after thinking about it, she just made up a reason and said, "After tomorrow, and countless tomorrows, you will have grown up."

Yunlong was dumbfounded. Tomorrow and the day after tomorrow, or countless tomorrows, but it seemed like there were too many tomorrows to count!

Chu Yunxiao couldn't help but chuckle as he watched Liu Anran trick Yunlong.

Liu Anran looked at the female zombie who was still yelling and roaring, raised her hand, and shot a golden blade towards the female zombie's head. The blade hit the female zombie's head, and the female zombie fell to the ground.

"Next time, aim for the zombie's head. One hit is all it takes to kill it," Liu Anran said to Yunlong.

"Oh!" Yunlong said.

Yunlong patted Yunlong's head and asked softly, "Are you hungry? What do you want to eat tonight?"

When Yunlong heard that he could still order food tonight, he remembered that the pine mushrooms in his space had grown again. Some were yellow, and some were purple, and they looked fresh and appealing. His eyes lit up, and he happily said, "I want to eat pine mushrooms, is that okay?"

“Okay,” Liu Anran said.

Liu Anran took Chu Yunxiao and Yunlong's hands and led them into the space.

Chu Yunxiao was suddenly in an unfamiliar place with fields, fishponds, wells, two fruit trees, and three pine trees. His face showed shock.

Yunlong looked at Chu Yunxiao triumphantly and said boastfully, "Dad, this is Mom's space. We can hide here when we're in danger, and we can also farm."

Yunlong led Chu Yunxiao to the vegetable garden and pointed to the vegetables, saying, "These are corn seedlings, and these that have just sprouted are peas, tomatoes, and radishes. Elder, these are cucumbers, pumpkins, scallions, and garlic that have just been planted."

"Did your mother plant all of these?" Chu Yunxiao asked.

Yunlong said with a smile, "Of course my mother planted them. Now that you're here, the farming work will be your responsibility, so my mother won't have to work so hard."

Chu Yunxiao looked at Yunlong thoughtfully, and he strongly suspected that the little brat was treating him like a laborer.

Yunlong met Chu Yunxiao's gaze, frowned, and asked, "What's wrong? Dad doesn't want to do any work?"

Chu Yunxiao raised an eyebrow and asked, "What if I don't want to?"

Yunlong retorted unhappily, "Mom's hands are blistered from digging so hard, how can you bear to see her working so hard?"

Faced with Yunlong's questioning, Chu Yunxiao couldn't help but smile. "Oh ho! You've become so quick-witted in just a few days!"

Chu Yunxiao countered, "Why don't you help your mother with the chores?"

Yunlong looked at Chu Yunxiao in disbelief, "Dad, I'm not even as tall as a hoe handle. You're making me dig? Doesn't your conscience hurt?"

Looking at Yunlong's tiny form, Chu Yunxiao guiltily touched his nose. He was indeed too small; he probably couldn't even lift a hoe.

Liu Anran gave Chu Yunxiao a coquettish glare, and Chu Yunxiao smiled sheepishly. He was just teasing Yunlong on purpose!

"I'm going to wash the rice and cook. You must be tired. Go lie down on the bed for a while," Liu Anran said to Chu Yunxiao.

Chu Yunxiao responded softly, affectionately ruffled Yunlong's hair, and turned to walk towards the bed.

Yunlong volunteered, "Mom, you go start the fire, and I'll help you wash the rice."

Seeing Yunlong's enthusiasm, Liu Anran smiled and asked, "Do you know how to wash rice?"

“Mom, I’m your son. How could I not even know how to do something as simple as washing rice?” Yunlong said.

Liu Anran rolled her eyes. Whether or not he could wash rice and whether or not he was her son seemed to have absolutely nothing to do with each other!

Yunlong picked up the cauldron and walked to a rice jar, lifted the lid, picked up a bowl and scooped out a bowl of rice.

Liu Anran smiled and said to Yunlong, "Your father is a grown man with a big appetite. One bowl of rice isn't enough for him. He can have another bowl and a half."

Looking at the dwindling rice, Yunlong asked worriedly, "Mom, what will we do when we finish all the rice?"

“Don’t worry, we still have plenty of rice and corn. Mom promises you won’t go hungry,” Liu Anran said with a smile.

Yunlong was relieved to hear that he didn't have to worry about going hungry.

Listening to Yunlong and Liu Anran's voices, Chu Yunxiao slowly drifted off to sleep.

Liu Anran finished cooking and went to the bedside. Seeing that Chu Yunxiao was still sleeping, she whispered to Yunlong, "Dad is still sleeping. Let's not wake him up."

Liu Anran scooped a bowl of rice for Yunlong and then a bowl of snake meat and placed it in front of him, saying softly, "Eat first if you're hungry. After you're full, wash up and go to bed."

"Aren't we waiting for Dad?" Yunlong asked.

“You’re a child, you should go to bed early and get up early. I’ll wait for your dad to eat with us.” Liu Anran said, then put two more pieces of pine mushrooms into Yunlong’s bowl.

Yunlong picked up the pine mushroom he had been craving and put it in his mouth, his eyes filled with a smile. So delicious!

Liu Anran glared at Yunlong, annoyed. She had seen him secretly pour the spiritual spring water on the pine mushrooms; it would be strange if they didn't taste good.
