Chapter 251 Driving a Wuling Mini and making a ruckus around the palace.

Li Yao took out the Hello Kitty Wuling Mini and the Mercedes-Benz SUV Mini and put them in the yard to sunbathe.

It quickly attracted everyone's attention.

The Empress heard everyone talking in the courtyard, so she came out and saw two large iron boxes, which looked quite unusual.

She walked up to Li Yao and asked, "Chang Le, what are you fiddling with now? It looks weird."

After greeting the Empress, Li Yao replied, "Mother, this is my electric scooter. My master gave it to me. I drove it in my dream. It's more comfortable than a horse-drawn carriage. Now they need to absorb some of the sun's essence to replenish their energy."

Upon hearing that it was a gift from Master Li Yao, the Empress guessed it might be something valuable. She circled the silver-white Wuling Mini, looking at the cat head on it, and said with a smile, "This cat is quite interesting, it even has flowers on it. And the window is transparent, is it made of a single piece of crystal?"

Seeing that the Empress was very interested, Li Yao said that he would take her for a drive after the battery was fully charged tomorrow.

Seeing that she noticed the glass, he took out a glass tea set and gave it to her, explaining the difference between glass and crystal, and also gave her a guide to the glassmaking process.

The Emperor and Empress really treated her very well, giving her rewards from time to time, and never asking her to ask her "master" for anything, so Li Yao was very generous.

At the same time, Li Yao used her mind to select ten luxury RVs and put them into the [Spirit Spring Space]. Da Zhuang and Nuwa led the robots to install solar panels and charge 1,000 high-capacity batteries. Da Zhuang also improved the conversion rate of the solar panels to electrical energy, so that solar charging will be faster in the future.

The Empress gave the Emperor the glassmaking technique, and Li Yao received a host of rewards, including jewelry, official kiln porcelain, and gold.

The next morning, after breakfast, the Empress kept hovering around Li Yao, feeding her snacks and showing her jewelry, her eyes fixed on her with longing.

Seeing the Empress's condition, Li Yao didn't keep her waiting any longer. She told her to change into something neater and simpler, then grabbed a few cushions, a vomit bag, and a trash can before heading to her Wuling Mini.

It's springtime now, and the temperature is in the teens or twenties. Yesterday was a sunny day, and the car already had electricity, so after charging it for another day yesterday, the battery was fully charged.

Li Yao inspected the car body, wiped the windows and rearview mirrors, and then got into the driver's seat. She put a cushion on the seat, as the road was paved with bluestone slabs, and she was worried about the bumpy ride.

When the Empress came out and saw Li Yao get into the carriage, she quickly followed suit and sat down as well.

The palace maids nearby looked around, unsure whether they should follow and sit behind or run outside, and hesitated for a moment.

Li Yao adjusted the Empress's chair and, noticing the maids and nannies around her looking on expectantly, asked after a moment's thought, "Mother, there's room for two more people. Who would you like to bring?"

The Empress looked out the window and said, "Let's bring the wet nurse and the thrush."

Upon hearing the Empress's voice, the two men quickly directed others to prepare tea, snacks, cloaks, changes of clothes, and so on. Before long, they brought out a large pile of things.

Li Yao quickly explained that she was taking her mother for a stroll in the palace, and several palace maids and the Empress's wet nurse, Granny Song, were picking and choosing, saying that this was something that was essential when going out, and that was something that had to be brought in case of emergency.

Goodness, Li Yao has really seen something new. There was nothing she could do, so she picked out a few items to put in the trunk, since there was still a lot of space behind the seats.

Li Yao distributed trash cans, vomit bags, and a pack of tissues to everyone, telling them not to hold it in if they felt like vomiting. Then she taught them how to fasten their seatbelts before setting off.

As the car started, the roar of its engine filled everyone with excitement.

Li Yao smiled as she drove, turned the steering wheel, and honked the horn to signal the people at the palace gate to keep their distance before driving onto the bluestone slabs inside the palace.

Because of the fear of unforeseen circumstances, the thresholds of many palace gates can be removed to allow carriages to pass through.

Every time Li Yao arrived at a palace gate, people would see the Empress in the carriage from afar and immediately go to remove the threshold. So, Li Yao drove along the palace avenue in the lowest gear at 20 mph the whole way.

They encountered patrolling guards and were followed by a group of guards for quite a while. Everyone was curious about the carriage, but they didn't dare to stop it because they saw Princess Chang Le and the Empress sitting inside. They just ran after it to get a better look, which was quite funny.
