It's already September, but the weather on the island hasn't changed at all. The sea breeze is still warm, and it's another sunny day, just like any other.
Life on the island was so relaxing, so incredibly relaxing. Sometimes Li Yao felt like she was just on a vacation, and the world was still the same world.
However, that damned Murphy's Law still didn't let Li Yao off the hook; whatever she wished for came true.
Early in the morning, she was enjoying a Chinese-style massage with a robot in the spa room when she heard her dog barking wildly.
Li Yao didn't return the five dogs after letting them out; they should be playing on the observation deck today.
Li Yao told the robot to stop, then put on her pajamas and teleported over to see what was going on.
When we arrived at the viewing platform, we saw the dogs barking wildly at the mountainside on the left.
Li Yao went over to comfort them and sensed that the dogs seemed a bit frightened and scared.
Li Yao asked the system, "[6834, scan to see what's going on]."
System: [Host, a level 3 mutated vampire vine is hunting. It has just killed a large python; there is a smell of blood.]
Li Yao scanned with her mental energy and found that she couldn't find it, which meant that she must be outside the 2-kilometer range.
She hadn't expected the dogs to be so alert, able to smell the scent from so far away. It seemed the dogs raised on the spring water were extraordinary.
Li Yao had been here for a while but hadn't actually been to the original mountainous area. She felt it was unnecessary; if there was danger, she could simply use spatial manipulation. Ever since 6834 easily dealt with over 2000 level 12 zombie kings, Li Yao felt invincible.
Regarding the vampire vine, Li Yao directly instructed the system: "[6834, use the designated target teleportation to send the vampire vine string to space, then use space cutting to recover its crystal core]."
System [Good Host]
After collecting the crystal core of the vampire vine and calming the dogs down, Li Yao teleported back to the SPA room to continue her unfinished essential oil skincare treatment.
Recalling what had just happened, Li Yao asked the system, "[6834, can I buy superpowers for these dogs?]"
System: [Host, I'm sorry, but that's not possible. Only you, the host, can use spatial skills. No one else, including yourself, can use them.]
Li Yao was rejected by the system for the first time, but she could understand it. It seemed that the dogs would have to rely on themselves from now on.
Li Yao turned over and continued to enjoy the robot's massage.
A few days later, Li Yao planned to take the dogs swimming at the beach. As soon as she reached the observation tower, she smelled a strong stench of blood. Using her mental energy to scan the area, she discovered that about a kilometer away, several wolves and a pile of vines were fighting fiercely.
The three wolves were covered in fine wounds, and the vines, baring their fangs and claws, would strike unexpectedly from tricky angles.
Perhaps seeing the wolves bleeding more and more, the vine's dozen or so tentacles simultaneously reached out and tightly wrapped around the wolves. Then, tiny yellow flowers with teeth extended from the tips of the vines, which would bite down firmly on the wolves and suck their blood.
Li Yao realized that this was probably a vampire vine, but hadn't the system already eliminated it?
"6834, what's going on?" Li Yao asked.
The system replied: "[Host, the previous vampire vine was the boss, constantly competing with these smaller vines for food. Now that you've eliminated the big one, the smaller ones have naturally started to grow.]"
Li Yao then asked, "Are there many of these blood-sucking vines?"
System: [This is a vine plant, it's mutated, and this kind of plant reproduces very quickly. Clear one batch, and another will grow back in a short time.]
Li Yao was in a hurry to go play in the water with the dogs, so she said to the system, "[6834, spatially cut all the vampire vines on this island. Teleport back those with crystal cores, and leave the rest alone.]"
A short while later, Li Yao received 178 skill points, one level 2 crystal core, and over 20 level 1 crystal cores.
