Chapter 103 Zhizhi, I Miss You So Much

Zhen Tian herself didn't notice; she took the water glass from her mother and rinsed her mouth.

"It's okay, Mom and Dad." Zhen Tian shook her head: "I just felt a little dizzy and that's why I felt nauseous."

"You should still get it checked out."

"No, I'll just go back to my room and take a nap. You guys have dinner."

Zhen Tian refused her parents' request, went back to her room, and locked the door.

"Is it really okay not to go to the hospital?" Lu Ti looked at her husband with a serious expression.

“The child doesn’t want to go.” Zhen Lei was also worried. If Ji Yuzhi were here, they wouldn’t have to worry. “It’s probably because of the travel. Tian Tian has been going through a lot of bumps and turbulence on the plane these past few days. Let her sleep for a while first. If she’s still not feeling well when she wakes up, we’ll go to the hospital.”

"This is the only way."

Lu Ti nodded.

Hiding under the covers, Zhen Tian buried her head in the blankets, the warm air enveloping her, but she felt icy cold all over.

My nose felt sore, and tears streamed down my face uncontrollably.

She felt empty inside, and the longing she usually felt for Ji Yuzhi surged up like a flood. She hid under the covers and cried silently.

Lying in bed, she curled up into a ball.

"Just... ugh..."

She rushed to the bathroom and dry heaved for a long time.

This ordeal continued until midnight.

She finally couldn't take it anymore; the physical discomfort and mental distress brought the little girl to the brink of collapse.

Sitting on the bathroom floor, Zhen Tian leaned over the toilet seat, took out her phone, and dialed the number of the boy she hadn't contacted in a long time.

…………

"You've been so busy lately," Zheng An said, stopping Ji Yuzhi as he came in and was about to leave again. "Have you eaten?"

Ji Yuzhi glanced at the time: "I've been translating a few original works at the studio lately, and also running around to various events. I'm a bit busy, but it'll be fine in a while."

"So where are you going now?"

"The studio has arranged a simultaneous interpreting meeting for me, so I'll prepare."

"You've been put into the box so quickly?" Feng Li looked up from the book in surprise. The box he was referring to was where simultaneous interpreters stayed during each meeting.

"Um."

"Impressive, no wonder you're the boss."

Zheng An gave him a very generous round of applause.

Ji Yuzhi rubbed his temples. He had been feeling restless these past few days, probably because he had been too busy.

He was so busy trying to figure out the studio's operating direction and methods that he didn't even have time to sleep.

He should call the girl to comfort her after this meeting ends.

It's been so long since we last contacted each other. I wonder if the kid has been having so much fun that he's forgotten all about him.

Ji Yuzhi suddenly laughed.

"What are you doing? What kind of smile is that? I'm an artist, not a prostitute." Zheng An clutched his chest and looked at Ji Yuzhi warily.

"Have you finished reading the book? Are you going to be tested?" Ji Yuzhi threatened.

"No, no, we're not that familiar yet," Zheng An said with an awkward laugh.

Ji Yuzhi gave him a warning look and then left in a hurry.

Zhao Zeyuan looked up from his book and said, "Ji Yuzhi is indeed very strong."

“Yes, otherwise how could I be so convinced?” Zheng An put his arm around Zhao Zeyuan’s shoulder. “I’ve never seen anyone so talented and hardworking, not to mention with such a face. If it were me, I would have been living a wild life long ago.”

"So now you can only call him 'boss'," Feng Li said with a sly smile.

"Pfft, ah." Zheng An made a face as if he had been stabbed by a sword, then pulled the sword out and said to Feng Li, "Draw your sword, brother."

"You're crazy, why aren't you reading?" Feng Li rolled her eyes at him.

Feeling bored, Zheng An touched the tip of his nose and returned to his seat.

The dormitory returned to quiet. Under Ji Yuzhi's semi-coercive and semi-urging, the dormitory's study atmosphere became so good that it was famous throughout the school.

Everyone knows that the dormitories of the top scorers in the national college entrance examination in Building B are filled with top students from various majors.

Ji Yuzhi returned before the lights went out.

"Hurry up and take a shower, the lights are about to be turned off." Zheng An lay on the bed and checked the time: "Fifteen minutes left."

That's enough.

Ji Yuzhi quickly tidied up the documents and then went to the restroom.

The lights were off when I returned.

The three men lying on the bed turned on their flashlights: "Hurry up, stop tidying up, let's go to sleep."

Zheng An urged him on.

"Um."

Ji Yuzhi dried his hair and climbed into bed in no time.

The three of them turned off their flashlights one after another, and the room returned to darkness.

Ji Yuzhi fell asleep within two minutes of lying in bed.

It was late at night.

Ji Yuzhi's phone, which was placed beside his pillow, suddenly rang.

The vibration woke Ji Yuzhi.

He grabbed the phone; a sweet photo was flashing on the screen.

Ji Yuzhi sat up, climbed out of bed, and quietly went outside to answer the phone.

"Sweetie?" he asked in confusion, "Why aren't you asleep yet so late?"

Zhen Tian's tearful voice reached his ears through the microphone, and the trembling sound sent shivers down his spine.

"Zhizhi, I miss you so much..."

"Sweetie? Why are you crying? Are you feeling unwell?" He panicked immediately.

"Zhizhi, I miss you, I miss you so much..." Zhen Tian cried, but kept repeating this sentence.

Ji Yuzhi's pupils dilated in alarm.

"I miss you too. Don't cry, tell me what's wrong?"

Zhen Tian leaned against the toilet, feeling uncomfortable all over, but she could no longer resist the urge to miss him.

"I don't want you to leave, sob sob sob..." Zhen Tian seemed unable to hear what he was saying: "I don't want you to leave me..."

"I will never leave you, I will never leave you." Ji Yuzhi stood by the bed. The cold night wind was blowing, making his shirt rustle, but the chill of the wind was nothing compared to the chill that Zhen Tian cried, which was bone-chilling.

"I know I shouldn't be like this. I want to be more sensible. I don't want to bother you."

Zhen Tian was still crying, and her speech was becoming incoherent, but Ji Yuzhi could understand everything about her.

"I really tried my best. I held back for a long, long time. I didn't call you because I was afraid I would bother you."

"But I miss you so much, I miss you so much, just you..."

"Please don't blame me, I just miss you so much."

"Only one..."

Zhen Tian cried so hard she kept gagging.

"Sweetie, sweetie, don't cry, listen to me first." Ji Yuzhi hurriedly returned to the dormitory, his movements so loud that they woke up the other three people in the dormitory.

"What's wrong, Yuzhi?" Feng Li sat up and turned on the flashlight.

Ji Yuzhi didn't even have time to spare a glance. He opened the wardrobe, grabbed a piece of clothing, and put it on.

"Don't cry, calm down, okay?"

He put on his clothes, grabbed his ID card, and ran outside.

"What's going on?" Zhao Zeyuan asked, his eyes glazed over.

"I don't know either," Feng Li shook his head.

Ji Yuzhi got into a taxi and directed the driver to the airport.

"Sweetie, be good, don't cry. Be good, okay?"
