Chapter 104 Long-term suppression of emotions leads to illness

As Ji Yuzhi listened to the girl crying and gagging on the other end of the phone, his heart ached so much he felt like he couldn't breathe.

"I feel so bad... I feel so bad." Zhen Tian's voice grew weaker and weaker.

"Sweetie! Sweetie! Say something!"

Ji Yuzhi panicked. No matter how he shouted, there was no response from the other end of the phone.

He decisively hung up the phone and called Zhen's father instead.

"Uncle, go check on Tian Tian! Hurry!"

Zhen's father was woken up by his phone, but Ji Yuzhi's words woke him up completely.

He didn't even have time to put on his pajamas; he went straight to knock on his daughter's bedroom door wearing only his pajama bottoms.

"What's wrong?" Lu Ti woke up.

"Quick, find the key! It's locked from the inside!" Zhen Lei knocked on the door and called out, "Tian Tian! Daughter!"

Lu Ti took the room key out of the TV cabinet and handed it to Zhen Lei.

The two entered and found the bed empty; the tension caused their pupils to constrict.

After searching around, Lu Ti quickly found her daughter in the bathroom.

"Honey!" Lu Ti screamed, "Sweetie!"

When Zhen Tian was found, she was lying silently on the ground, her phone in her hand, her face covered in tears.

"Let's go to the hospital." Zhen Lei picked up his daughter and ran out quickly.

Lu Ti grabbed a piece of clothing, took the keys, and ran out.

Upon arriving at the airport, Ji Yuzhi ran straight to the ticket counter: "A ticket to H City, the fastest flight, the fastest!"

While waiting for his plane ticket to be checked in, he suddenly remembered the event scheduled for tomorrow.

He broke his promise for the first time: "Hey, this is Ji Yuzhi. I can't go to the event tomorrow. Please arrange someone else. I have an urgent matter."

Fortunately, the two cities are not too far apart, and I could buy a plane ticket directly.

While waiting for his flight, his hands, gripping the ticket frantically, were trembling.

City H.

"Doctor, doctor!" Zhen Lei rushed to the emergency room with his daughter in his arms.

"What's going on?" The on-duty nurse heard the noise and ran over first, pushing a hospital bed in front of her.

Zhen Lei put his daughter on the bed, and the doctor ran towards them while putting on his white coat, right behind the nurse.

"I don't know, she fainted in the bathroom."

"Measure the blood pressure and blood sugar," the doctor instructed the nurse, then looked up and asked, "Is the patient exhibiting any unusual symptoms?"

“She vomited several times today!” Lu Ti’s voice became heavy with breathlessness. “She said it was motion sickness, and that’s all.”

"Schedule a gastroscopy," the doctor said to the nurse.

"yes."

After all that fuss, it was almost dawn.

Zhen Tian was lying in the hospital room when the doctor came over with the diagnosis report.

"Doctor, how is he?" The two people rushed over.

"It's intestinal bleeding. If it had been any later, it would have been a perforation, which would have been much more troublesome." The doctor handed the diagnosis report to the two of them. "After the examination, we found no external factors that could have caused it. It's very likely that it's caused by excessive thinking and stress leading to gastrointestinal problems. It's nothing serious, just take good care of yourself."

"You should avoid overthinking in the future. Your child is so young and shouldn't have this problem. You parents should pay more attention in the future."

"Okay, okay, thank you for your help, doctor."

Hearing that everything was alright, the two breathed a sigh of relief. However, Zhen Lei felt as if he had forgotten something.

Ji Yu got off the plane at around 8 a.m. He immediately got into his car and called Zhen's father.

"Uncle, how is Tiantian?" His Adam's apple bobbed, and some fear was hidden beneath his tense expression.

“Yu Zhi?” Zhen Lei suddenly remembered: “She’s in the hospital; she has intestinal bleeding.”

Which hospital?

"The city hospital..."

Ji Yuzhi hung up the phone immediately.

Nothing makes him feel more at ease than seeing it with his own eyes.

He closed his eyes, his hands still trembling.

"Yu Zhi?" Lu Ti finally had the mood to ask.

“Yes, it was him who called me that I found out about Tian Tian’s accident.” Zhen Lei nodded: “It seems that the connection between these two kids is unbreakable.”

"What do you mean by 'cut off'?" Lu Ti tucked the blanket around Zhen Tian. "This child thinks she's covering it up well, but as her mother, I have no idea what she's become because of Yu Zhi's departure!"

"Fortunately, the child who grew up with Tian Tian is Yu Zhi, a child who gives us peace of mind." Lu Ti sighed, "With Yu Zhi around, at least we don't have to worry about Tian Tian's health anymore. Let the two children handle their own affairs from now on."

When Ji Yuzhi arrived at the ward door, he suddenly hesitated.

Lu Ti was just about to go out to fetch water when she said, "Hey? Xiao Yuzhi, why are you back?"

"Aunt Lu." Ji Yuzhi calmed his breathing. Seeing Lu Ti's peaceful face, he knew that Tian Tian was alright.

"Come on in. I'm so grateful to you last night." Lu Ti smiled, patted his back, and pushed him into the ward.

"You're back?" Zhen Lei raised an eyebrow, and after a moment's thought, he knew what was going on: "Tian Tian hasn't woken up yet, sit down and rest for a while."

"Hmm." Ji Yuzhi approached the stool, and his legs suddenly went weak. He slumped heavily into the chair.

Zhen Tian regained consciousness around noon.

Although she suffers from pain loss, she can still feel sensations such as dizziness or vomiting.

"You're awake?" Ji Yuzhi held her hand, his eyes filled with an emotion that was hard to tell whether it was relief or reproach.

He heard that the symptoms were caused by excessive stress.

Ji Yuzhi is not stupid; on the contrary, he is smarter than many people.

He only needed to think for a moment to realize that Tian Tian kept saying she missed him, but didn't contact him for fear of bothering him, and this prolonged suppression led to her illness. The root of this illness came from him.

Zhen Tian slowly opened her eyes, her eyelids trembling. As soon as she opened her eyes, Ji Yuzhi's face came into view.

"Zhizhi?" Her usually clear voice was now hoarse from vomiting for too long: "Am I dreaming?"

She closed her eyes, and after a while, she opened them again. Ji Yuzhi had not disappeared.

"What kind of dream? Was I in your dream too?" Ji Yuzhi slowly smiled.

"Are you serious?" Zhen Tian's eyes reddened again, and her emotions seemed to surge up once more.

"It's true." Ji Yuzhi reached out and touched her cheek, rubbing his index finger under her eyes. "Don't cry, I'm back."

"Zhizhi~" Zhen Tian called his name tenderly, and his heart had already melted completely.

"I'm here." He stood up and gently kissed Zhen Tian's forehead: "Don't cry, sweetie."

"Only one!"

"Mmm." He held Zhen Tian's hand and pressed it against his cheek.

"It's a little prickly." Zhen Tian suddenly laughed, and she pulled her hand away.

"What's wrong?" Ji Yuzhi touched his cheek. "It seems so."

Perhaps due to a night of running around, stubble has already grown.

"How about I get you scraped after you're discharged from the hospital?" Ji Yuzhi squeezed her hand and pressed it against his.

This time, Zhen Tian didn't dodge. She gently touched it and nodded, "Okay."
