Good morning, Zhizhi.
Zhen Tian's cheerful tone became clearer as the door opened in front of Ji Yuzhi.
"Why didn't you ask who it was before opening the door?"
He frowned slightly, pushed open the door, and went inside.
"I knew it was you." Zhen Tian took his arm, smiling broadly. "Besides, you said last night that you were coming this morning."
"What if it wasn't me? You better watch out next time." Ji Yuzhi gave her a hard tap on the head.
Zhen Tian shrank her neck: "Okay."
Sitting on the edge of the bed, Zhen Tian noticed that Ji Yuzhi was dressed very formally: "Do you have work today?"
"Hmm...I guess so," Ji Yuzhi mumbled in response.
"Oh~" Zhen Tian thought about today's date, lowered her eyes, and seemed to be lost in thought. After a while, she asked again, "What time are you leaving? Can you have breakfast with me?"
"Can."
Zhen Tian smiled again and picked up the hotel menu: "Since you have something to do, we can just eat at the hotel."
She made a phone call and ordered a ton of food.
"so much?"
“Yes, eat more today.” Zhen Tian’s gaze lingered on the desserts again and again, before she finally said into the phone, “Let’s order two more slices of cheesecake.”
"Okay, please wait a moment."
Zhen Tian hung up the phone and yawned: "If I had known you had work, I wouldn't have gotten up so early."
"I thought you were going to take me out to play?" she muttered softly.
"What?" Ji Yuzhi pretended not to hear.
"nothing."
She shook her head. Today was her birthday, and in previous years Zhizhi always remembered it clearly. This year, he was probably too busy and forgot. She decided not to tell him. Zhizhi would definitely feel burdened.
Zhen Tian felt she was being incredibly thoughtful.
After comforting herself, she forgot all the disappointment she felt when she learned that Ji Yuzhi was leaving.
It's just a birthday, nothing special.
She pulled Ji Yuzhi to watch TV while waiting for breakfast, but Ji Yuzhi's eyes kept glancing out the window and at his phone.
After a while, Zhen Tian realized what was happening and lifted her upper body from Ji Yuzhi's shoulder to look at him: "Is something urgent?"
"No." Ji Yuzhi shook his head and smiled at her.
"Oh, if you're in a hurry, you don't have to have breakfast with me."
"It's nothing, don't overthink it."
"All right."
Breakfast was brought over quickly, and three more large men were also brought into the room.
Ji Yu looked at Zheng An and the other two speechlessly: "Why are you here?"
"You two had food but didn't call us?" Zheng An squeezed into the room with a grin.
"You want to eat all by yourself?" Feng Li chuckled, then naturally sat down in front of the food.
"Then we won't stand on ceremony." Zhao Zeyuan said with a cold face, but still managed a serious attempt at humor.
"Do you think it's appropriate for you to sit down now?" Ji Yuzhi pursed his lips, his eyes carrying a warning.
But the three people who are usually good at reading eyes acted as if they were blind, ignoring everything and eating and drinking for free.
Ji Yuzhi had his own considerations. He didn't want to be too obviously touching, but he was also extremely annoyed by the men who had appeared recently.
Zhen Tian, however, chuckled when she saw Zhizhi's darkened face: "It's alright, stay here, it's more lively eating with more people."
"Would you like to order something else? You've all eaten quite a lot, haven't you?" Zhen Tian picked up the menu and handed it to the group.
"Just give us some, sister-in-law, we'll eat anything," Zheng An said, stuffing a piece of braised pork into his mouth.
"Order something expensive," Feng Li added.
"I second that." Zhao Zeyuan nodded.
Zhen Tian couldn't help but laugh as she looked at Ji Yuzhi, as if to say, "Look how unpopular you are."
Ji Yu gritted his teeth in anger, but there was nothing he could do.
Today is a special day, and this is something that can only be done today.
He sat down to eat with no other choice, saying, "Get back home after you finish eating."
"Boss, that's so heartless of you. It makes us feel like we're just here to freeload."
“Isn’t that right?” Ji Yuzhi glared at Zheng An.
Zheng An dared not speak and could only eat in silence.
"Alright!" Zhen Tian tugged at Ji Yuzhi's sleeve and said to everyone with a smile, "You guys take your time eating."
She really enjoys lively atmospheres.
"Yes, sister-in-law." Zheng An gave a comical salute.
"Just eat yours."
Ji Yuzhi sighed silently, then quickly snatched food from the mouths of the three contestants who were eating like wolves and put it into Zhen Tian's bowl.
The three of them couldn't shut up while eating, constantly telling Zhen Tian how popular Ji Yuzhi was at school. They seemed to want to stay there forever.
Ji Yuzhi kept checking his watch, and for the first time, he was so anxious that he was restless and his feet were tapping on the ground.
Zheng An and Feng Li exchanged a glance, and then Zheng An began to speak at length again.
"And another time, the boss was in the cafeteria, and that woman looked at him more intensely than she looked at the food. She acted out spraining her ankle and falling down at least three times..."
At first, Zhen Tian listened with great interest and laughed along with the others.
But the more I heard this, the more uneasy I felt. Why is it that the market is so good only outside?
Ji Yuzhi could clearly see that Zhen Tian was unhappy, but Zheng An, oblivious to the situation, continued talking.
He kicked Zheng An under the table.
"What?" Zheng An had a strand of spaghetti with meat sauce still hanging from the corner of his mouth.
Time is up.
Ji Yuzhi looked out the window and ruffled Zhen Tian's hair: "Look outside."
He turned Zhen Tian's head in a different direction, and Zhen Tian hesitated for a moment.
The next instant, colorful balloons floated up outside the French windows.
Zheng An was the first to run over, looked at the contents of the basket, and raised an eyebrow at his brothers: "Little sister-in-law, come quick."
Before Zhen Tian could recover from her surprise, the balloon, with a small basket hanging from it, stopped outside the window.
"Happy birthday, Tiantian," Ji Yuzhi whispered in her ear as he led her to the window.
"Zhizhi." Zhen Tian pouted, looking both like she was crying and laughing, "I thought you were too busy to remember."
"How could that be?" Ji Yuzhi gently nudged her. "Go on, take the things out of the basket."
Zhen Tian stepped over the railing a little, and there was only a small box in the basket.
Zhen Tian had seen many boxes like this before, and her heart was pounding.
Many possibilities flashed through my mind.
The moment she opened the box, perhaps overwhelmed by her emotions, her fingers slipped, and the box fell from her palm onto the carpet.
Ji Yuzhi's gaze followed her closely, and seeing her stunned expression, he couldn't help but sigh.
He bent down and easily picked up the box. The moment he held the box in his hand, he slowly knelt down on one knee.
"Wow..."
"Ohhhh!!!"
The three boys started to cheer at the same time, but Ji Yuzhi and Zhen Tian seemed to only have eyes for each other.
"I didn't want it to be this fast."
