Her goal was simple: to get the old lady home before it got dark.
As for walking back at night, to be honest, Yue Jiuyue was afraid. Even though the moon was very bright, she was still scared. She wasn't afraid that someone would suddenly jump out from somewhere, but rather that a wild animal would jump out, and the kind that would bite.

As you can tell from the name, there is a river here, and the village is located upstream of this river, so the village usually does not lack water.
The river that runs through several villages has dried up downstream, but Shanghe Village still doesn't need to search for water. However, it might not be enough for irrigation, so the village limits the amount of water each household can take, for fear that people won't even have water to drink in the future.
Therefore, the harvest in Shanghe Village was only slightly better than that of other villages, and still much worse than in previous years.
"Mother, it's already dark. I've finally come back, so you must cook me a good meal, including for my brother and sister-in-law. I want to eat grain; I haven't eaten grain for years."
Upon arriving at Shanghe Village, Yue Jiuyue followed the village road toward the old lady's house. Relying on the original owner's memories, she knew that she was not far from the old lady's house, so she began to plead her pity and make demands.

The old lady stopped walking, turned around, and pushed Yue Jiuyue around half a circle. Then she gave her a hard push and waved goodbye to Yue Jiuyue.
"Let's go quickly, so my nephews and nieces won't worry about you!"
