Chapter 33 Hershel Joins

Seeing this scene, the only glimmer of hope left in Hershel and Beth's hearts was completely shattered.

Hershel stared blankly at the zombies not far away, standing there in a deep silence.

Beth's mind went blank and she was completely stunned.

If these patients are really monsters that have come back from the dead as Xu Mo and Amy said, then her mother and brother...

Thinking of this, Beth could no longer suppress her inner grief. She turned around with her hands covering her mouth, her shoulders trembling slightly, and began to sob softly.

Although Amy didn't know what had happened, she felt pity for Beth when she saw her heartbroken look. She patted her back gently and gave her silent comfort.

Xu Mo looked at Hershel, who was like a deflated ball, and slowly walked up to him and said:

"You see, these things are not human beings, let alone so-called patients."

"This is the walking dead, a monster that has come back to life from the dead."

"They have no thoughts, no emotions, and only a primal desire to hunt and kill."

"From what I know, at least 90 percent of humanity has become this thing. The rest are either dead or struggling to survive."

"Don't think that it seems safe here. There are no zombies here."

"But this is only temporary. When I was in Atlanta, I saw that the zombies in the city began to move out of the city."

"Not far from here, there's an interstate that connects Atlanta and Columbia."

"Those zombies in the city will eventually follow that road to your place."

"How are you going to deal with these zombies with just a few of you?"

"You may have lived enough and are not afraid of death, but what about your daughter?"

"Do you want your daughters Maggie and Beth to be killed by these monsters like you?"

"I know you're feeling very desperate, but now is not the time for you to be desperate."

"There may be no hope now, but what about the future? One day the world will return to the way it was before the catastrophe."

"I can't promise anything else, but I can say that I will do my best to protect my people and keep them alive and safe in this apocalyptic world."

Listening to Xu Mo's long speech, Hershel slowly raised his head and looked into Xu Mo's eyes.

He paused for a moment, as if making a final decision in his mind, and then said with determination: "I understand. We will join you."

Hearing Hershel's words, Xu Mo showed a relieved smile on his face, and stretched out his hand and said, "Welcome aboard."

Hershel glanced at Xu Mo, a complex emotion flashed in his eyes, and then he also stretched out his hand.
