Chapter 39 Sad Beth

Hershel and Maggie also looked towards Xu Mo, their eyes also full of expectation and pleading, and their thoughts were the same as Beth's.

Xu Mo lowered his head slightly, thought for a moment, a hint of understanding flashed in his eyes, and then he nodded and agreed to Beth's request: "Okay, I'll take you there."

After all, this was the last time they could see their deceased relatives, and he had no reason to refuse.

Besides, those zombies were killed by his single blow to the head, deader than dead, so Beth and others would not be in danger when they went to check for the corpses.

"Thank you, Xu Mo," Beth said gratefully with tears of gratitude in her eyes.

"You're welcome," Xu Mo said gently, and took them, Amy and Andrea towards the barn again.

After walking for half a minute, Xu Mo and his group soon arrived at the door of the barn.

Only Daryl, Maul and Sean were left guarding the barn, while Rick and the others went to comfort the others in the camp.

"Xu Mo, why did you bring them here?" Sean frowned, walked towards Xu Mo, and asked the others behind Xu Mo.

"They want to see the remains of their loved ones, and I agreed." Xu Mo explained briefly and concisely, then turned around, looking at Bethmaggie, Hershel and others behind him with concern, and said, "You go and claim them."

When Maggie and Beth heard this, a trace of sadness flashed in their eyes. They slowly walked to the pile of corpses and began to search for the remains of their relatives.

Under the cover of night, all was silent, with only the dim light of the flashlight flickering. Although the light was weak, Beth soon spotted a familiar figure lying on the ground among the corpses.

Looking at the corpse, Beth felt as if her chest was blocked by a huge stone, and she suddenly felt a sense of blockage. The figure looked very similar to her mother, and the clothes on her body were also the ones her mother often wore.

Her steps became heavy, and she walked towards the corpse one step after another. Every step seemed to be stepping on her heart, and soon she arrived in front of the corpse.

She slowly reached out, squatted on the ground, and with her hands trembling slightly, she carefully turned the body over.

Although she had prepared herself mentally in advance, the moment she saw that familiar face, she felt her nose sore and her eyes instantly moistened. Then tears flowed uncontrollably, and big tears rolled down her cheeks.

Hearing Beth's crying, everyone present was moved. They turned their heads away silently, their eyes full of sympathy and pity.

Xu Mo's heart tightened when he saw Beth's expression. He was about to go forward to comfort her, but before he acted, he deliberately turned his head to look at Amy beside him.

After all, Amy is his number one girlfriend. Although he doesn't need to ask Amy's consent or opinion when doing things, it doesn't matter if Amy is not present. But since Amy is present, he still has to care a little about Amy's attitude and feelings, at least notify her.

When Amy saw Xu Mo looking at her, she immediately understood what he meant. She nodded firmly at Xu Mo, with understanding and support in her eyes.

After seeing Amy's attitude, Xu Mo no longer had any scruples and walked directly towards Beth with firm steps.
