Chapter 85 Space Combat Techniques (Part 2)

On a new day, Tang Wanzhou, for the rare occasion, traveled with Jiang Ling to the space combat skills training ground, which was located opposite the site administration office, which was also the place where the trainees had frequently visited some time ago - Area No. 5.

Space combat skills were what Jiang Ling found most interesting on the training schedule. It consisted of three main sub-disciplines: "Spatial Positioning," "Space Techniques and Tactics," and "New Weapon Operations." The purpose of this training was obvious, judging by the names of the sub-disciplines: it would teach trainees to fight in space and defeat any possible enemy.

The theory of space warfare is actually quite old. Over a hundred years ago, countless elites at home and abroad boldly envisioned the forms of future space warfare. And from the moment artificial satellites were invented, those theories were constantly being put into practice, right up until the actual space wars, the aftermath of World War IV, whose aftermath continues to linger.

That war realized almost all the methods of warfare that had been predicted, including but not limited to ground-attack satellites, anti-missile satellites, anti-satellite missiles, anti-satellite lasers, and anti-satellite satellites (suicide satellites). The only thing missing was human-controlled armed spacecraft and space boarding.

Considering the current international environment, Jiang Ling would not think that the top decision makers wanted to start a new round of war. They went to such great lengths to select astronauts, and they certainly did not intend to launch them into space and turn them into pieces of frozen meat. So it was obvious that they were not learning to fight for the sake of fighting, they were learning to fight in order to protect themselves.

The two stopped at the gate for a while, and seeing that the glass door did not open automatically, out of curiosity, they personally pushed open the transparent barrier that blocked the noise inside and outside.

Behind the door was a spacious space. Its walls, ceiling, and floor were covered in flexible screens, which were currently displaying images of clear water and blue sky, making it feel like being in a holographic projection room. The screens were touch-sensitive; every step they took caused the screens on the ground to transform into the outline of a footprint, and the response speed was so fast that it almost matched the walking speed.

There is a two-dimensional lake island in the center of this huge room. Most people gather there to talk, while a few people rely on their sensitive sense of touch to slowly pace along the wall, trying to find the second entrance and exit in the room.

Jiang Ling held Tang Wanzhou's hand and joined the boring meeting on the lake island.

"...When did you arrive? Does anyone know where the person in charge here is? What exactly do they want us to do? How long will we have to stay here?" Someone in the crowd kept asking.

"...Do you know? I heard that the top leaders are planning to take advantage of the snowstorm on the surface to bring back the survivors from Shangjing. They have received a signal from there, and it is said that the number of survivors is not small." There were many well-informed people among the crowd.

"...Get away from me, you bastard! Do you want to do this again? The last lesson wasn't enough! Do I have to beat you half to death?" Conflicts and violence still existed among the crowd.

Jiang Ling didn't talk to anyone. She was just looking for her acquaintances here. When she learned that those animals had successfully passed the previous assessment and came here, she felt relieved and stayed there quietly.
