An hour later, Catherine was drinking liquid tonic and changing clothes with the help of servants.
This supplement's ingredients are similar to those found in bathtubs, with added substances to aid absorption and enhance tasteāof course, it's also more expensive. Fortunately, most people can't afford it, as it's an extremely dangerous hallucinogenic drug for the average person. While some criminals do sell it as a drug, the raw materials are difficult to obtain and there's a chance it could awaken ordinary people, so the vast majority of what's sold on the black market is fake.
"Miss, what are you thinking about?" asked the maid.
"I'm wondering what your faces look like under your masks." Catherine turned to the maid with her arms raised.
The maids straightened her sleeves. "My lady, this won't do! Until you inherit the authority, none of us can show our true faces to anyone."
"Ah, boring tradition." Catherine sighed.
Soon, she was dressed in an indigo-blue, antique European-style gown. The simple, elegant gold and white patterns on it resembled a soaring dragon from a distance. The pure white, long, pleated skirt, hidden behind shimmering blue tulle, added a touch of playfulness and cuteness.
"Miss, your beauty is as if blessed by a god," the maid complimented.
Catherine didn't reply. She turned around in front of the floor-length mirror, then sat down and slowly evaluated her own image in the mirror as she performed different movements.
"Who designed this dress?" she asked.
"Miss, I think it should be the new work of Master L&K. Are you not satisfied?" The maid's voice was a little flustered.
"No, apart from some large movements that are not very beautiful, everything else is fine." Catherine gave her own evaluation.
"That's great!" The maid breathed a sigh of relief, then added, "The master also recommended several matching hairstyles. Your golden quicksand is most suitable for this scorpion tail style!"
"Really?" Catherine touched the floor-length mirror twice, and the image of herself in it immediately changed into the appearance described by the maid - she changed her usual style of a young lady with a power drill and twin ponytails, and turned into a refreshing, capable and dynamic girl.
"This... why don't we just forget it?" Her cheeks flushed, but she didn't look like she wanted to refuse.
"Miss, you look good in anything you wear!" the maid continued to compliment.
Catherine nodded at the mirror. A machine approached her head from above, sucking her hair into the air. Then, an invisible force caused them to entwine, and soon they were arranged into the desired shape. Satisfied, she stood up and walked around the room a few times, confirming that everything was ready. Then, surrounded by servants, she headed to the place she had agreed to meet her friends.
Of course, this wasn't a date or a group outing. For a college student under fourteen, such an appointment was usually just some ordinary social activity.
Catherine came to the other side of the garden and randomly found a place among the pavilions and waterside pavilions. She asked the servants to set up tables, chairs, tea sets and desserts there, and then sat in the most comfortable position.
After a while, her friends appeared in other seats one after another. When all of them were present, the one leading the group even stood up and performed a guest greeting in a pretentious manner.
"You're welcome, everyone. This is my private garden. There are no monitoring devices. You can speak freely." Catherine saluted each of them and said so.
"In that case, then, we'll obey!" They were not at all polite. While their words were polite, their bodies were already moving. They extended their dominant hands, passed through the range beyond the holographic image's reach, and took the tea they had prepared.
They are all the best in their respective families. Under the heavy protection of their families, meeting in this way is the only possibility.
