"Ahhh~!" The oversized pig let out a sharp scream. The sound was very similar to the sound of a pig being slaughtered, but the tone was deeper.
The wound inflicted by the armor-piercing arrow had penetrated the skin and fat on its belly, also damaging some muscle tissue. Blood was still gushing from the blood vessels severed by the metal jet. Its blood pressure was high, otherwise it wouldn't be able to support its enormous size. But it was clear that expecting this mutant to bleed to death was too much of a stretch. The skin on its shoulder, previously injured by Dong Xie, had begun to heal, and this wound would at most slow down its recovery.
The poisonous sting porpoise looked towards Jiang Ling...
Jiang Ling's pupils shrank as her dynamic vision saw dozens of spikes ejected from the pig's body. She reacted quickly, grabbing her crossbow in one hand and Dong Xie's leg with the other, then leaping into a nearby pit at breakneck speed.
Dong Xie was knocked unconscious by the huge overload. After being thrown into the pit by Jiang Ling, he lay motionless in a strange posture.
The spikes brushed against her protective suit and pierced the ground, but the stingray's venom seemed to have run out, and the spikes did not leak out any corrosive liquid.
Just as Jiang Ling was congratulating herself on her quick reaction, a voice rang out from the terminal: "Move quickly, up the slope! That guy's coming!" She popped her head out to see the pig charging towards an exoskeleton warrior. Two hundred meters away, Jiang Ling saw some white markings on the exoskeleton.
The exoskeleton warrior narrowly escaped by diving sideways from the pig's route. The pig was running at at least 90 miles per hour. After rushing past the flying squirrel, it did not stop and continued to accelerate towards the mole.
If it hit him like that, it would be like being hit by a car on the highway, and that car had a horn. Jiang Ling imagined what it would be like to be hit, and a chill ran down his spine. It would probably turn into a puddle or a heap, and the workers would have to shovel the body back home.
The flying squirrel didn't stop after escaping. He quickly ran to Jiang Ling's position, picked up the unconscious Dong Xie, and supported Jiang Ling again, "Hurry up! Let's climb up the slope."
"Is he okay?" Jiang Ling asked quickly.
"The mutant can no longer release its stinger, and now it's just a larger, more ferocious porpoise. Captain, it won't be a problem if you buy it a few more minutes. Watch the road!" The flying squirrel replied.
It took them half a minute to climb the slope. The mole in the distance continued to dodge, and the pig looked tired, with sticky saliva dripping from the corners of its mouth. The wounds on the stingray had begun to heal, the bleeding had stopped, and scabs had formed over the wounds. The mole's exoskeleton was covered in dirty snow and mud, looking miserable.
"Do you still have that kind of armor-piercing shells?" The flying squirrel squatted on the top of the slope and observed for a while, then asked Jiang Ling who was lying on the slope.
"There should be more in the quiver." Jiang Ling peeled off a layer of film, and her helmet was covered with a lot of dust again.
The flying squirrel took the crossbow from Jiang Ling and then picked an arrow from her back.
Jiang Ling hadn't even told him which arrow to pick up when she heard the sound of an arrow breaking through the air. It wasn't until she saw the arrow flying through the air that she realized he had picked up the wrong one. She immediately shouted into the chat, "Watch out for explosions!"
Fortunately, the flying speed of electromagnetic waves is much faster than that of arrows. This exoskeleton warrior is also a veteran, and his reaction speed is very fast. As soon as Jiang Ling finished speaking, he lay down on the spot and made a tactical action to prevent the impact.
The next moment, a bright white flame erupted near the stingray. The shockwave spread out in a spherical pattern, pushing the surrounding snow into a circular depression. "Boom!" After the shockwave passed through everyone, the sound of the explosion emanated from the stingray's position.
"Cough cough cough, beep-beep-can you say it earlier next time!" The taciturn mole couldn't hold it in anymore after the explosion. He shouted a curse and then seemed to start talking.
"Don't be stunned. This kind of arrow is not for use against heavily armored targets!" Jiang Ling shouted on the communication channel. "I didn't even say what kind of arrowhead! Take the one marked in green!"
Upon hearing this, the mole stood up, took a look at the poisonous porpoise, and then immediately ran towards the slope.
The pig was shocked by the explosion and bleeding from all seven orifices, but it only looked miserable. Compared to the big dog that Jiang Ling had killed before, this big pig was only stunned by the explosion and would probably recover soon.
When the mole was a little further away, the flying squirrel fired another arrow at the pig. There was another explosion, and this time it had some effect, since he was shooting at a fixed target. The metal jet pierced the pig's front leg.
The poisonous stingray roared, and the bones of its front legs, pierced by the arrow, could no longer support its heavy body and were instantly crushed by its own weight. Then, its body fell down along with its lame leg.
"Killed it?" the flying squirrel asked in the channel.
"Not yet. I think I have to hit its head!" Jiang Ling replied.
The mole, who was halfway there, immediately decided, "Get in close and shoot! Do you have any more arrows?"
The flying squirrel took away all the remaining armor-piercing arrows. He left a message on the communication channel, "Borrow it for a while, I'll return it to you later!", and then slid down the slope quickly.
Jiang Ling stared at the two exoskeleton warriors rapidly approaching the poisonous stingray for a moment before reacting. "What are you going to give me back?" she bit back. Weapons and ammunition were meant to be fought with life and death, and she couldn't put a price on human life.
"Boom~"
"Boom~"
"boom!"
After a while, several explosions were heard in the distance. When the smoke cleared, Jiang Ling saw that they had blown the pig's head to pieces. The flying squirrel squatted beside the pig's skull and stomped on its red and white thing.
