Chapter 25 Parallel Progress: Alien Ocean (Part 3)

Due to the sudden meteorite impact, the rendezvous and docking of Flint and Diamond Star took a little longer. In order to report the discovery to his superiors as soon as possible, Liu Haiyang made a space boarding in outer space without waiting for the docking operation to be completed.

The Diamond Star was much larger than the Flintstone. This was his first impression upon entering the airlock. This enormous research vessel, comparable to a "national-class" warship, was the size of a medium-sized city. Its long axis was equivalent to five Earth-era aircraft carriers laid end to end, a full 1.7 kilometers long. Just walking from the front to the back would take an average person over an hour, not to mention the numerous branch lines and main lines, as well as the research areas separated by bulkheads of various levels of protection.

Liu Haiyang entered the spaceship, which was used to store research samples and had a level 3 security rating. The ship's AI, mindful of his fully enclosed exoskeleton, graciously allowed him entry and provided necessary navigation assistance. He arrived effortlessly at his destination, but only slightly faster than the rest of the Flintstone crew. Truly a case of rising early and arriving late.

Song Yinglong put his arm around his shoulder as he returned to the docking station. "It seems you've already experienced her charm?"

"It's okay, it's similar to the orbital station I had back then." Liu Haiyang replied.

"What orbital station can last for thousands of years without any problems?"

"Who knows? Maybe there really is an orbital station in the solar system that can operate continuously for thousands of years after the start of the Spark Project. Especially the one in the Kuiper Belt, Heliocentric V, which is one light-year in diameter." Liu Haiyang raised his thumb and pointed behind him.

"Is it really that big? Honestly, I don't believe you could have built it back then."

"Believe it or not!" Liu Haiyang said disapprovingly. "By the way, why haven't we seen the Diamond Star crew? I have something important to report!"

"She didn't." Captain Song replied mysteriously, "Like I said, the Diamond Star is a highly automated research vessel. Isn't it normal for her to be without a crew? As for reporting something, I don't know what you want to report, but you can try calling her from here..."

"who?"

"Diamond Star."

"Diamond Star? Diamond? Star? There's no reaction at all?"

Song Yinglong sighed helplessly, flew out of the docking port himself, opened the magnetic adsorption module of the protective suit, and then landed steadily on the floor of the Diamond Star. He walked to a lighted "porthole" and placed his palm on it. Almost instantly, the "porthole" changed color and an operational information window appeared on it. "The Diamond Star has to process a huge amount of information every minute and every second. She has no time to respond to your verbal calls." Captain Song gestured to Liu Haiyang to look around, and continued, "You can see from our appearance that you have to rely on yourself for everything here. She is very kind to take the time to authorize you. Don't expect too much. After all, this is not a mothership, nor is it the orbital station of your time!"

Liu Haiyang didn't waste any words, but walked to another "porthole" alone, called out the operation window in the same way, and then found the search bar in it, and entered several keywords such as "Insight UAV", "Mothership Defense Identification Zone", and "Meteorite".

A page filled with text and images immediately popped up in the "porthole". The title, which was specially highlighted in black and bold, made him dizzy - "On the Effect of the Insight-Hunter UAV on Meteorites in the Mothership's Defense Identification Zone."
