Chapter 132: Past Events on Mars (Excerpt)

They were unable to return until the destruction of the Inorganic Kingdom.

The kingdom's success stemmed from the collision of continents, and its downfall was also caused by the collision of continents. The complex people of the kingdom oversimplified the situation. The differences between continents were far more complex than they imagined. Continental collisions didn't always bring about miraculous changes; most often, they brought destruction. The original Universal Continent was largely devoured by the terrifying Destruction Continent, and countless stones were transformed into tiny particles of superheated magma. Some cooled and turned to metal, while others merged forever into the Eternal Sea.

It took a long time for the Universal Continent to complete its self-repair, but at this time it was no longer a continent, it was called the Oblivion Islands.

The people of the archipelago quickly mastered the power of annihilation, their advanced ships able to travel between islands with ease. This immense power gave rise to a host of ambitious individuals seeking to rule the archipelago. Thus, a Pandora's box of war was opened, and the archipelago was shrouded in the constant shadow of war. The islands became increasingly fragmented, and the barriers and conflicts grew increasingly complex.

Complex people's thoughts became more complex, and complex thoughts began to give birth to strange magic. People who had suffered from the war wanted to escape from the war, and the power of annihilation began to be used in directions other than war.

Thus, history's second wave of voyages began with great fanfare. Peace-loving individuals rushed to leave the Oblivion Islands, seeking a safe haven in the depths of the Eternal Sea. Their vessels were far faster than those of ancient times, their Oblivion Force driving the waves to propel them forward without wasting any other resources. They were reclusive, traveling only with like-minded individuals. Once they left port, they remained silent for the rest of their lives.

This situation lasted for a long time, but it was a very rare occurrence in the long river of time. When the last person who refused to be ruled left, the Oblivion Islands finally ushered in a moment of lasting peace and unification. This most powerful empire became the sole master of the islands, and history calls it the Oblivion Empire.

Unfortunately, the Oblivion Empire was not a long-lived empire, and the devastation it brought to the archipelago must eventually be repaid.

Not long after, the brilliance of civilization faded, and the land was once again covered by chaos - until the arrival of the drifting giant.

The Giants were not native to this land; they came from far across the Eternal Sea and they called themselves Wanderers.

For these wanderers, the Broken Islands are actually a high-quality "continent". Their worldview is completely different from that of the ancient natives, and the technology they use is also completely different, but it just happens to be suitable for use on this "continent".

They named this "continent" Square Root Continent.

They have lived on the Square Root Continent for at least 40 million years and have traveled to every inch of the land.

They left the continent on their own initiative because their wise men predicted that the Square Root Continent would collide with another similar continent, but they could not take everyone with them.

They put the consciousness of those who could not be taken away into containers, and then gathered enough materials and energy for the long journey, making all preparations.

Before they left, they left behind some inspirations for future generations.

After that, the earth shook.

A new civilization was born in the ruins. Complex people had hearts that were far more complex than ever before. This complexity was enough to accommodate all complexities and thus able to adapt to the complex changes caused by the collision of continents.

They called this continent Universe, and they lived in a village called Earth.
