Soon, the winner was decided. The loser fell to the ground, and the onlookers rushed forward without mercy, stabbing it with all kinds of sharp weapons, then holding it up in the air and began to perform some kind of barbaric ritual.
The pierced "corpse" seemed to be still moving, and hot blood gushed out of its body, flowing down the handle of the long-handled weapon, and then dyed the people who were dancing with weapons in their hands red.
The mutant's vitality is very tenacious, and simply knocking it down will not kill it. Tribes struggling to survive in the Red Zone usually hold this long and cruel ceremony after capturing prey.
Bai Wu had a keen sense of smell. The smell of blood irritated her nerves, and an inexplicable feeling crept into her heart. Her blood began to boil, and her veins began to stir. Her muscles suddenly erupted with unimaginable strength, and she suddenly stood up from the ground.
Before the cheering crowd could react, some changes occurred to the White Wizard who had been quietly staying in the cave.
The Qionglong's muscles pushed through the protective suit, and the beautiful fat on her chest gradually transformed into a tough armor of flesh. Her bone density increased rapidly, and the mass gained from the alien space caused her weight to increase rapidly.
The cave was a little small, so she had to crawl on the ground.
Her body continued to transform, silvery-white fur gradually covering her entire body. Her head also underwent changes similar to those of the werewolves, but unlike them, her appearance was not ferocious, but rather possessed a holy beauty. Her entire body was snow-white, and her large, furry tail twitched restlessly.
During this process, apart from the crackling of tendons and bones rapidly growing, she made no sound. Furthermore, this little noise did not affect the revelry outside. The creature suspended in mid-air was not dead yet; it continued to twitch and gasp.
Bai Wu did not feel any pain, she was different from them. She soon realized her own changes, she remembered that she had changed like this once a long time ago.
A fat and ugly face appeared in her mind. Who was he?
She suddenly felt an unprecedented rage, and at the same moment, her supernatural powers erupted uncontrollably. The cave collapsed into several fragments of varying sizes, escaping the planet's gravity along with the people outside.
The surrounding snowstorm seemed to have hit a barrier, forming a strange dome-like spectacle nearby. Those floating in mid-air looked toward the center of the dome in astonishment. They struggled to leave the area, but they were stuck, as if drawn by a magnet.
"If we unite, we will get a bigger hunting ground! More food! More space!" Someone was shouting in an open space.
The inspiring words made Bai Wu's heart tremble. The space shook, the ground began to crack, and then the rubble around her rose from the ground and flew into the air.
Some of the fragments collided with each other during takeoff, breaking into smaller pieces. The people in mid-air also collided with each other, and the dizziness of the collision forced them to drop their weapons, and these uncontrolled weapons began to cause even greater chaos.
Bai Wu is now immersed in the depths of her memory. Some fragments emerge in her mind and then continue to reorganize. She tries to piece together a complete process, but several important nodes are missing.
The only things that remained were usually some good memories, and she didn't know what the missing things meant. However, her sixth sense told her that those things were important, that they should be able to explain her past, that they should be able to tell her her name, her age...
An irrepressible sadness replaced her anger, she looked up to the sky and howled, the earth mourned, and the wind and clouds surged.
She finally felt the temperature of the rain, some warmth, and some fishy smell.
This state lasted for about two hours. The rain soaked her whole body and then gathered in the surrounding areas where the soil originally belonged. After cooling for a long enough time, the rain froze into dark red ice.
The last thing Bai Wu felt in her memory was a pair of soft knees resting on her head and a hand caressing her head. She gradually calmed down, and the floating objects around her began to slowly fall to the ground.
She rolled over, trying to get a clearer look at the person comforting her. It was an unidentified creature who looked similar to her. Her wine-red eyes shone brightly, like two shimmering rubies. On her head grew two diamond-like antlers, forming a stark contrast with the starry sky behind her.
The world became quiet, and she no longer felt any extra emotions. She regained her self-awareness and fell into a deep sleep.
The world changed silently. When Bai Wu woke up, she found herself lying on a soft bed. Her memory was interrupted after eating the root, and she could not remember anything after that.
The first thing she saw when she woke up was Ruan Danxin lying on the pillow. If it were normal, the two of them should have swapped positions.
"What's wrong with me?" she asked Danxin.
Ruan Danxin's ears twitched, and then she straightened up and stretched. She glanced at the time on the wall and replied lazily, "Don't eat anything else from now on. That stuff is poisonous! Phew! Sleeping like this is so tiring. Move aside and let me lie down for a while!"
Bai Wu felt the room shaking and asked uncertainly, "Is it an earthquake?"
"Hmm?" Ruan Danxin uttered two nasal sounds in a daze, then rubbed her waist, stood up and opened the curtains.
