Chapter 33 Cooking Methods for Wild Boar Monsters

Because the wild boar monsters are so huge, only a portion can be cut off and brought back. Preservation conditions are poor in the wild, and if too much meat is brought back, it cannot be guaranteed that it will be eaten before it rots.

When Kyal returned to the camp with a large bag full of meat, he saw Kreh practicing her footwork technique, "Shrinking the Ground," in an open area.

While Kyal was out hunting, Krech had already made initial progress in her practice of [Shrinking the Earth].

His figure flickered and appeared three meters away in the blink of an eye, without leaving any afterimage.

Being able to do this level already counts as getting started.

"You're learning very quickly."

Kyal greeted him with a smile, startling Kree, who was focused on her practice.

"Who is it?!"

Kreeher instinctively turned to look in the direction the voice came from, placed one hand on the hilt of her sword, and breathed a sigh of relief when she saw it was Kyal.

"It's me."

Kyal raised his hands in surrender and approached Kreeher step by step.

"Kayal...don't you make a sound when you walk...?"

Clare clutched her chest and complained with lingering fear. Although she had been concentrating on her practice, she could still detect any movement around her with her hearing.

However, she did not hear any sound as Kyal approached, nor did she sense any presence from him.

If it were the enemy, they could have launched a surprise attack from that distance.

"Haha... I'm so sorry, I was practicing my [Stealth] skill. I'm really sorry for scaring you."

Kyal replied with a smile, looking very pleased.

He's a fun-loving person; all he enjoys is having fun.

He would do low-level things like scaring people, and he found it amusing and rewarding to see Kreeher terrified.

"Really... don't scare me like that. What if I react too violently and hurt you?"

Kreeher's eyes held a hint of resentment.

"It definitely won't happen again next time."

Kyal placed the cloth bag full of wild boar meat on the ground. It was almost noon, and it was time to prepare lunch.

"Kreich, you continue practicing, I'll cook."

Opening the cloth bag, Kayal used [Improvement] on the monster meat to remove the miasma from it.

"Is there anything I can help you with?"

Kreeher looked at the green light enveloping the wild boar meat in Keyar's hand, his expression showing eagerness.

She felt that she and Kyal had been completely useless on this trip. After entering the Monster Forest, Kyal solved most of the problems by himself, which was torture for Kreeher, who wanted to help Kyal with anything.

If she could help Kyal cook and learn to cook, wouldn't she be able to help Kyal solve his food problems and reduce his burden?

"Leave it to me, Kreeher, go back to practice."

Kayal withdrew the magical light of [Improvement], stood up, looked at Kreeher's slightly disappointed expression, smiled, and reached out to pat her head.

"Don't feel useless just because you can't help me with these little things."

"I also need to use my own abilities. If I let Kreeher do everything for me, wouldn't I become a useless person?"

"Don't worry, Krech is now focusing on practicing her skills to improve herself so she can better help me in the future."

"Besides, aren't we lovers? It's only right for a man to pamper his woman."

Kreeher blushed slightly after being patted on the head, but she wasn't going to be so easily won over!

"But precisely because we are lovers, we should help and support each other even more."

"I want to help you, and I'll be with you no matter what you do."

Seeing that Kreeher's attitude was very firm, Kyal said no more.

"Okay, let's work together from now on. Please take care of me."

Kyal withdrew the hand that was stroking her, a relieved smile on his face.

"Kresh, do me a favor."

"good!"

The two began preparing lunch with great enthusiasm.

The meat of wild boar monsters is extremely tough, so tough that it is difficult to swallow whether roasted or boiled.

But precisely because of this, the meat of wild boar monsters contains suitable factors that can increase physical defense talent value.

Even though it tastes terrible, you have to eat it no matter how bad it tastes.

That being said, forcing yourself to eat unpalatable food is a third-rate approach.

With the right processing methods, even this tough and unpalatable food can be made delicious.

Kyal had Kreeher help him collect some stones, and then used alchemical magic to create a stone anvil.

While collecting stones, wash the wild boar monster meat in the river.

During the preparation stage, first light a campfire, set up a boiler, and heat water.

Place the meat on the cutting board and have Kreeher help by pounding it thoroughly with a sword, chopping it into small pieces.

After washing the wild vegetables and mushrooms he had just picked in the forest in the river, Kyal chopped the vegetables into small pieces and cut the mushrooms in half.

Take out the bread you bought in town as dry food, crumble and tear it into pieces.

Mix the minced meat, chopped wild vegetables, and breadcrumbs together, add an appropriate amount of water, stir thoroughly, knead into a meat filling, and finally take out a small amount of meat filling and roll it into meatballs.

After Kreeher made the dumplings, Kayal added mushrooms and some seasonings to the boiling water in the boiler.

As you stir, the seasonings dissolve in the hot water, and the simple broth begins to release its aroma.
