Inside the cave, which was more than ten meters wide, a series of very deep rumbling sounds rang out, like ten thousand horses galloping by, causing countless pebbles on the cave ceiling to fall down in a rustling sound!
A horde of various ferocious beasts, as if stung by poisonous bees, frantically charged toward the other side of the cave, trampling countless creatures to death! Screams filled the air, but these creatures showed no sign of stopping, continuing their frantic run as if some terrifying thing was relentlessly pursuing them!
"Master, it seems you've miscalculated!" Sirius said through his consciousness, amidst the creatures.
"Yeah! I didn't expect these creatures to be so cowardly! They were scared away!" The little guy was very upset.
"So what should we do now?" Gray Wolf asked.
"Be flexible! Listen to my instructions!" The little guy said eight words, then lay down on the white wolf and didn't say anything more...
Unbeknownst to these beasts, as they frantically fled the icy pool, the creatures floating on the water seemed to be following in their footsteps, silently closing in behind them!
The beasts ran back to the stone steps in one breath and then swarmed back in.
Those creatures without heterochromatic eyes, who were previously pacing around on the stone steps, desperately searching for an exit, suddenly had a glimmer of hope! Countless creatures poured in from one place, giving these creatures who were desperately searching for an exit a sudden glimmer of hope. They then ran towards the place where these creatures had come in, wanting to escape from the stone steps.
"Where did you come from? You can't stay here, get out of here right now!" The creature trapped in the stone steps hurriedly told these creatures, but they ignored him completely, simply shoving him aside and running off in the other direction of the stone steps like their pants were on fire. The creature that asked the question hadn't even had time to get up after being pushed down when a wild bull that rushed in from behind stomped hard on its head!
Then his entire body was trampled over by countless creatures, which were trampled into nothing more than skin...
"Master, the gray wolves have gotten separated from us. What should we do now?" The white wolf and the little guy hid among the frantically running herd of beasts.
"It's too chaotic here right now. Let's save ourselves first and deal with things later! Don't run with them anymore. Let's slowly move to the edge and hide here!" the little guy instructed.
The white wolf slowly moved to the edge of the beast tide, then hid in a corner of the stone steps, watching the beast tide rush past him.
"Who are you? I advise you two to leave right now! Otherwise, we'll leave you both dead here!"
Just as the white wolf and the little guy stopped, two creatures silently appeared in front of them! These two creatures were soaking wet, dripping water, and the chill emanating from them made the white wolf feel a chill even in his soul!
The little guy frowned as he looked at the two strange creatures in front of him. The two creatures seemed to have ignored the white wolf's warning at all. They just hung their heads and stood quietly in front of the white wolf and the little guy without moving!
"Master, what do we do now?" The white wolf looked at the two strange creatures, and a strong sense of fear welled up in its heart.
"Don't make any rash moves! Let's see what they're up to first." The little guy looked at the two creatures in front of him. They were clearly lifeless, so why were they still standing there?
Just as the little guy was about to test the two strange creatures standing in front of him, the two strange creatures disappeared without him noticing!
The little guy looked at the fleeing beast tide, which was mixed with countless strange creatures. Luckily, he hadn't followed the beast tide, otherwise, he didn't know what danger might have happened to him!
"Huff..."! All living beings ran out of the stone steps in one breath and came to the centipede cave. Seeing the blood mud that was almost dried up, and remembering the miserable screams of their companions when they were bitten by the centipedes inside, these living beings were terrified!
Now, with danger ahead and treacherous pursuers behind, this group of ferocious beasts is caught in a dilemma.
"Where is Master? Have you seen Master?" As the beast tide stopped, the gray wolf began to look around and found that apart from himself and Xiong Xixi, the rest of his companions were nowhere to be seen!
"I...no, I was just following you. At first, I saw Master and Tianlang and the others, but later, we were all separated by these creatures pushing and shoving!" Xiong Xixi looked at the unfamiliar creatures around her with a terrified expression. She was very afraid that these creatures would recognize her and Gray Wolf. If they did, she and Gray Wolf would definitely not have a good ending!
"Brother, you're too weak, aren't you? You ran such a short distance, and look at all the sweat on your body, were you scared? Hahaha..."! A creature looked at its companion standing behind it and laughed.
His companion looked completely soaked, with his head drooping, as if he were drenched in sweat. He himself, on the other hand, had never been as soaked as his companion, except for his own heavy breathing, after running for so long.
"Hmph! Get out of the way! Look at you, don't get me dirty!" The creature watched its companion stand quietly behind it, silently mocking it, and felt a surge of displeasure.
But this creature seemed not to hear its companion's rebuke at all, and remained standing motionless in front of the creature with its head drooping!
"Are you deaf or blind? I'm talking to you!" the creature cursed as it shoved the wet creature with its forepaws.
"Ah!" A scream rang out! The creature clutched its bleeding shoulder in agony, staring in terror at the monster before it—it was not one of its own!
I just wanted to play a joke and shove my companion, but I didn't expect that as soon as my front paw touched my companion's chest, a big mouth full of sharp teeth suddenly appeared on my companion's chest and bit down on my entire front paw!
Then, in an instant, it bit off its entire forearm and swallowed it whole! The screams of this creature, now without its forearm, immediately drew the attention of its companions.
"Weren't these things in the icy pool? How did they suddenly get here?"
"Holy crap! There's one behind me too!"
"I'm rubbing mud horses, I have one behind me too!"
Countless creatures panicked and cursed. They thought that as long as they left the strange cold pool, these creatures would not follow them. Unexpectedly, these strange creatures had silently mixed in with their companions!
"Hehehe..."!
"Hahaha……"!
Eerie laughter echoed from inside the cave! The creatures that had been hanging their heads suddenly raised their heads slowly, their pupil-less eyes staring intently at the creatures in front of them, and gushing yellowish-brown liquid began to seep from their bodies!
"Playing tricks! I'm not afraid of you!" A creature that looked like a leopard roared at the strange creature behind it and stretched out its front paws to slap the strange creature's neck. If the paws landed, the strange creature's neck would be severed in an instant!
"Aww..."!
The leopard suddenly let out a scream as the strange creature opened its mouth on its neck and bit off its front paw!
A thick stench of blood permeated the cave. The creatures that had crawled out of the icy pool twitched their noses slightly, then turned their heads toward the two creatures that had lost their forearms. Their grayish-white eyes stared intently at the two wounded creatures, and then they slowly moved toward them!
All living beings were constantly on the run and hadn't paid much attention to what their companions looked like or whether they were their own. If these two unlucky souls hadn't noticed that the creatures behind them were different, they might still be unaware!
Seeing these creatures covered in patches of bluish-black scales, with grayish-white pupils and mouths that seemed to be everywhere, all living beings felt a sense of foreboding!
"What are you doing? Get out of my way!"
"Get away from me! Don't come any closer!"
"Please save me!"
"Ah! Help! You can't just stand by and watch me die!"
The two creatures were surrounded by these strange creatures, but their companions all scattered to the side, watching as these strange creatures completely surrounded the two creatures, ignoring their cries for help!
"Hahaha... You think that if you don't save us and feed us to them, they won't kill you? Don't be delusional! Hahaha... You might die even more miserably than we did!"
"Hehehe... I curse you, I curse you to be slowly devoured by these creatures, to die a horrible death! To die without a complete corpse!"
After being surrounded by these strange creatures, the two beings began to scream in utter despair.
Countless streams of blood sprayed into the sky like fountains from among these bizarre creatures, landing directly on the surrounding beings. The two creatures were completely lifeless, with only the sounds of these bizarre creatures devouring their corpses remaining.
"Click, click!"
A chilling chewing sound rang out, causing panic among the surrounding creatures. They were splattered with blood and frantically wiped themselves clean, cursing the two creatures being devoured by these bizarre beings.
Just then, a monkey-like creature crept up behind a strange creature that was gnawing on a bloody, mangled bone with relish, and then swung its large club and smashed it down hard on the strange creature!
"Boom"!
"Click!"
This monkey is incredibly strong; it snapped a stick as thick as an adult's thigh in half! The head of this strange creature, which was happily gnawing on a bone, was suddenly deformed by this unexpected blow!
It originally had a donkey face, but this monkey knocked it into a toad face with a stick, leaving a very deep dent in the middle of its head!
The strange creature collapsed to the ground and remained motionless. Then, a monkey, holding a stick that was now only half intact, approached the creature it had knocked down and raised the stick once more, aiming to stab the strange creature in the head!
The stick, now broken in two, was covered in sharp splinters. The monkey raised the stick high and jabbed it at the back of the head of the creature that had fallen to the ground. If it hit, the creature's head would explode!
"Hehehe..."!
The moment the broken stick touched the back of the creature's head, the creature suddenly let out a series of chilling laughs!
Suddenly, a mouth appeared on the back of the creature's head, and it immediately bit the stick that the monkey had poked at it, then began to quickly chew up most of the stick!
Seeing that things were not going well, the monkey quickly let go of the broken stick in its hand and prepared to leave, but suddenly felt its hind leg tighten! It felt as if something was firmly gripping it!
The creature cried out in surprise, looked down, and saw that the creature it had knocked to the ground with a stick had stretched out a front paw and was grabbing it tightly!
Just as the monkey was about to reach out and pull away the front paw that was gripping its foot, it suddenly felt a sharp pain in its ankle! A mouth suddenly appeared in the palm of the front paw that was gripping its ankle, and it quickly began to gnaw at the monkey's ankle.
"ah……"!
The monkey let out a scream as its entire leg was devoured by the front paw. Then, the creatures attracted by the smell of blood grabbed it, and in the end, not even a trace was left...
Upon witnessing this scene, all living beings erupted in chaos! Countless creatures, disregarding whether the centipedes would devour them, rushed onto the nearly dried blood mud, prioritizing their survival!
"Let's not move! Let's wait here for our master. I have a feeling our master didn't escape with these creatures; he might be hiding in the shadows!" the wolf said to the flower wolf.
"What if our master gets eaten by these strange things?" Flower Wolf asked with a fearful expression.
"Shut your crow's mouth! Do you think our master is so easy to kill? I believe our master is thinking of a way to wait for us to rejoin the team!" The wolf was hit hard by the flower wolf, and then looked at the flower wolf's back with a look of horror.
"What's wrong? Wolf, what's with that expression? Don't look at me like that!" Flower Wolf noticed that Wolf's gaze was a bit off and thought that Wolf was deliberately trying to scare him.
"Don't look back! Let's go! We have to find our master right now!" The wolf said solemnly, pulling the flower wolf along as they charged through the chaotic beast horde. But a strange creature clung to the flower wolf like a persistent ghost.
"Am I supposed to rub mud off?!" Seeing that he and the flower wolf couldn't shake off this creature that was like a leech clinging to their bones, the wolf grabbed a creature nearby and slammed it hard into the strange creature following behind...
"Master, these things have started attacking these creatures. I wonder how Gray Wolf and Sky Wolf are doing now?" White Wolf said worriedly.
“They’ve been with me for so long, they should be able to protect themselves in this situation!” the little guy said.
"Master, they're back again!" Just then, the white wolf saw the two strange creatures behind its master and exclaimed in panic.
"So you still think we two are easier to bully, don't you?" the little guy asked, looking at the two creatures in front of him, their bodies covered in bluish-gray scales and their heads drooping.
The two creatures neither spoke nor made any movement, simply standing quietly in front of the little one.
The little guy rummaged in his small leather bag slung across his shoulder and then took out a wooden sculpture!
The moment the little guy took out his wooden carving, the two eerie creatures that had been standing quietly in front of him suddenly seemed to have encountered some terrible natural enemy. Their bodies began to convulse violently, their scales began to peel off rapidly, and they made a series of hissing sounds. Then, like snow meeting the scorching sun, the two eerie creatures began to melt quickly...
"Ugh...it stinks!" The white wolf couldn't help but want to vomit. The little guy had already left. The white wolf quickly covered his nose and left. Only two animal skins were left here, and countless sticky, foul-smelling liquids were oozing out from inside the skins...
"Master, you're amazing! You killed two of them in one go!" The white wolf looked at the little guy, but when it saw the wooden carving in its master's hand, its joyful mood suddenly turned into fear.
The little guy looked at the wooden sculpture with a complicated expression. The sculpture gave him a very warm feeling, but he didn't know where this feeling came from. It was just that he felt very warm, as if with this sculpture, no matter where he was or how dangerous it was, he would feel very safe, as if a very strong relative was protecting him, making him feel very at ease.
"Master, could you please put this away? I'm terrified!" the white wolf said, looking at the wooden sculpture with a look of horror.
"Oh? Okay!" The little guy snapped out of his reverie and put his wooden carving back into the leather bag he was carrying...
"Xiong Xixi, let's not run anymore! I feel like our master and the others are still inside. We can't go in with these creatures. Last time, we escaped death because our master was there. We can't repeat the same mistake!" the gray wolf shouted to Xiong Xixi.
Xiong Xixi didn't dare to go up to the blood-smeared ground in the first place, but when she heard her companion shout, she immediately pulled her foot back. Then, she and Gray Wolf charged left and right through the beast tide and arrived at the edge of the area.
"Ah! Those things have popped out again!"
"My feet! I'm starting to lose all feeling in my body!"
"Ah...! Something is drilling into my eyes!"
Not long after countless creatures entered the centipede cave, countless screams of agony rose and fell! But these creatures continued to flee towards the cave entrance!
"Phew! They're all finally gone. Let's go back. Maybe our master is still waiting for us!" Xiong Xixi and Gray Wolf, hiding in the shadows, breathed a sigh of relief after watching all the creatures that had run into the centipede's burrow. Gray Wolf said, "It's finally much quieter now."
The two wolves, Flower Wolf and Evil Wolf, began to grope their way back in the darkness, calling out to their master using the spiritual sense he had taught them.
"I thought you all ran out of the cave with these creatures!" The little guy said with some relief as he looked at his little brothers who had all returned.
"Hehe, I knew our master couldn't possibly escape with these creatures. He must have hidden somewhere in here, waiting for them to trample the path before we go out!" The wolf said, looking at its master with an "I understand" expression.
"Huh? Didn't you notice we're missing a companion?" Just then, the white wolf asked its master.
"You mean Sirius? It's not far from us, and it was even brought here by a group of creatures themselves!" the little guy said with a smile.
"Sent over? Sirius has other companions besides us? Could it have betrayed us? I knew it, Sirius always fails the test when it matters!" Flower Wolf said with a look of disappointment.
"Stop hiding! I've seen you all. Since you've caught it, it means you know it's one of my underlings! What do you want in exchange for its release?" the little guy asked the darkness opposite him.
"The little devil lives up to his name! He has special abilities. Since neither of us has chosen to leave here, it means we have the same goal. I can put aside our past grievances and forgive your past misdeeds. How about we cooperate?"
Suddenly, countless torches lit up not far from the little creature, and an elderly-looking creature appeared before them, leading a group of creatures and carrying a badly injured wolf!
"Since you want to cooperate with me, and you know that this wolf is my underling, why did you beat it up like this? Is this what you call sincerity?"
"You have no idea how many of our comrades died trying to capture you, our little brother. If we didn't have so many comrades, we might not have been able to subdue it at all!" The creature said, looking at the Sky Wolf with admiration.
"It seems you discovered us a long time ago, but just didn't say anything. Xixi, Hualang, you two go and help Tianlang back!"
"Wait!" The creature stretched out its sharp claws and grabbed Sirius's neck, then said to the little guy.
"What do you mean by this? Since we're going to cooperate, it's perfectly normal for me to ask for my little brother back. What's the meaning of what you're doing?" the little guy said, looking at the creature that was holding Sirius hostage.
"Hehe, we really want to cooperate with you, but you are all too powerful, far surpassing us. If we release your little brother, you might turn your back on us and kill us all. So we can only ask you to make do with your little brother!" The creature looked at the little guy with a very apologetic expression.
"Hehe, not so stupid after all! You know you need to hold the leverage, alright! Since that's the case, we're partners now. Tell me your purpose, what do you plan to do with us?" The little guy glanced at Sirius, then looked at the creature and asked.
"It's nothing, we just want you to come with us to a place. Once we get there, we'll release your little brother, and we'll keep to ourselves from now on!"
"Oh? What place made you go through so much trouble, risking everything and even your lives?" the little guy asked curiously.
"This is a forbidden area in our forest, the last resting place of our ancestors. There are many treasures inside; obtaining just one would make you invincible. There are also countless spiritual herbs, medicines, and elixirs. If we cooperate, we can share half of what's inside with you once we're inside!" the creature said, looking at the little guy.
"Huh? Cough cough! Where did you hear this news from?" The little guy asked the creature, his face showing a mixture of amusement and suppressed laughter.
"This news didn't come from somewhere; it's been passed down from our ancestors. But we simply can't get past the last hurdle. As you can see, there's no way to find the final path!" the creature said, deeply distressed.
"Are you trying to find the legendary artifact to use against me?" the little guy asked, looking at the creatures opposite him with a hostile expression.
"Cough cough, how could that be! We are partners, and after I obtained this divine artifact, my ambitions have expanded beyond this forest. I am preparing to conquer all the worlds. What harm is there in giving you this forest?"
"Alright! I'll trust you this once! But what are you going to do with these things behind us?" After the little guy finished speaking, he pointed to the creatures standing behind this one. These creatures had their heads drooping and their bodies were covered with bluish-gray scales!
"I've heard you possess a treasure that can directly kill these persistent ghosts. Since we're partners, I hope you'll use your treasure to help us get rid of these damned things!" the creature said in great fear.
These bizarre creatures have killed countless of their companions, leaving them with no way out. Right now, these bizarre creatures seem harmless, but after a few chilling laughs, they will start attacking. Moreover, these bizarre creatures are covered in mouths, and they dare not make any physical contact with them unless they want to die quickly!
"I can kill these things directly, but why should I help you? Unless you can exchange something for something similar to mine!"
"Hehe... I'm not negotiating with you, but you have to help us kill these things! Otherwise, your capable little brother will lose his life!" After saying this, the creature slowly stabbed its sharp claws towards the wolf's neck! The wolf began to struggle violently, but it was held in place by an elephant and could not move at all!
"Fine! You win! I'll hand over the treasure to you, but this time you have to release my little brother!" The little guy looked at the leader of the creatures with a cold expression.
The leading creature didn't speak, but slowly stirred its sharp claws, which it had plunged into the wolf's neck, inside. The wolf made a series of "woof woof woof" sounds, but it couldn't break free from the elephant's grasp at all!
The little guy, with a gloomy expression, prepared to take the wooden carving out of the small leather bag slung across his shoulder!
"Wait! Throw that thing over here!" The leader of the creatures stared at the little guy's small leather bag slung across his body, his eyes filled with greed.
"Are you sure?" the little guy asked with a smile, his whole body radiating a very dangerous aura!
"What do you think?" After the leader finished speaking, his second claw landed on the wolf's neck!
The little guy took the small leather bag off his body and threw it not far from the group of creatures opposite him!
"You, go over there and pick that thing up!" the leading creature said to one of its companions.
"Me? Why me?" Some were reluctant to pick up the little guy's small leather bag.
"puff"!
The leading creature swung its claws back and smashed the other creature's head! The other strange creatures standing behind them pounced on it, and the creature was reduced to nothing...
"Go and retrieve that thing for me!" the leading creature said to its companion.
The creature that was called trembled. It looked at its leader, then at the little devil opposite it, and could only approach the small leather bag with trepidation, as if walking on thin ice, preparing to pick it up from the ground with its front paws.
Just after the creature touched the small leather bag, a small, emerald-green head suddenly popped out of the bag and opened its mouth to bite the creature's front paw!
"ah……"!
The creature let out a scream, feeling something pierce its front paw. Then, starting from the pierced paw, its entire body went numb and it fell straight to the ground, its body turning purplish-blue. Soon after, pitch-black liquid began to flow from its body, and within ten breaths, the creature turned into a pile of skin and bones!
"Sorry, I forgot to tell you, there's a guardian inside this bag. Since you want to take the treasures yourself, I have no objection. Please continue!" The little guy sneered.
"You, take it and go retrieve the things!" the leading creature said, looking at the elephant that was binding the Sirius.
The elephant glanced at its leader, then picked up Sirius as if he were a chick and carried him toward the small leather bag!
The elephant pulled out the broken forepaw of the wolf, then reached for the strap that was hooked on the small leather bag, lifted the bag off the ground, and brought it to its leader.
The leader of the creatures looked at the small leather bag in front of him, his heart pounding. He had managed to retrieve his underlings, but the skeletal corpse on the ground was still there.
Looking at the small leather bag, the leader of the creatures was in a dilemma. His momentary greed had left this hot potato-like bag unprepared. Reaching inside to take something would be suicidal; letting his companions reach in to take something might just incite these creatures to rebel and kill him!
"If you don't want to die, reach in and take out the treasure inside!" The leader of the creatures threatened, looking at the dying Sirius.
Sirius glared fiercely at the leading creature, then smiled at his master before closing his eyes!
"You, grab its paws, and then let its front paws reach into the bag to rummage for something!" The leader called to a creature next to him, but the creature only gave it a cold look and then walked away.
The leading creature looked at this creature with great anger, but there was nothing it could do. If it really pushed these creatures too far, it would suffer the consequences.
The leading creature gritted its teeth and picked up the small leather bag, which was full of danger and uncertainty. Then, it carefully pinched the bottom of the bag, turned it upside down, and shook it rapidly, trying to shake everything out of the bag!
The leader of the creatures had a very good idea, but what fell out of the bag was not any treasure at all, but clumps of emerald green snakes, each only as long as a chopstick!
After the leader of these creatures shook the snakes out of the bag, they began to attack the surrounding creatures indiscriminately. In an instant, countless creatures were bitten to death by these emerald green snakes!
The leading creature looked at the little guy opposite it with a resentful expression, then its whole body turned purplish-blue, and it fell straight to the ground, turning into a skeleton...
The little guy walked over, picked up his leather bag from the ground, slung it over his shoulder again, and whistled. All the emerald green snakes stopped attacking the creatures and crawled back into the little leather bag along the little guy's feet...
"Sirius, how are you feeling?" Gray Wolf and White Wolf helped Sirius up from a pile of huge, skeletal corpses and asked with concern.
"Cough cough! I feel alright, I won't die!" Tianlang said very weakly.
The little guy reached into his small leather bag, pulled out a blade of grass that looked like a bone, and handed it to Tianlang. Tianlang looked at the little guy with great gratitude, then wolfed down the blade of grass. Before long, the blood flowing from his neck slowly stopped, and all the wounds on his body that had been bleeding profusely also stopped.
"I don't want to kill you, you should leave!" The little guy said coldly as he looked at the remaining creatures who were staring at him in terror.
"We are willing to serve you and be your underlings!" A creature knelt on the ground and looked at the little guy with hopeful eyes.
"We are willing, we are willing to serve you!"
Countless creatures knelt on the ground, hoping the little one would accept them.
"Hehe! You should all leave! I have enough with these. Besides, you're all a bunch of opportunists, always changing sides. You should all go back to your own homes and find your own mothers!" After saying that, the little guy left with his five wolves and one bear...
"What are you following us for?" the gray wolf asked coldly, looking at the large group of creatures behind him.
"Heh! You can walk on this road, but we can't? Aren't you being a bit too domineering?"
"Exactly! Where we go is none of your business!"
"That's right, this place was left by our ancestors. We don't need to ask you before we go anywhere."
"Grey Wolf, ignore them and take good care of Sky Wolf. Let's go inside and take a look!" the little guy said, sitting on Xiong Xixi's shoulders.
And so, the little guy and his group went ahead, followed by a group of persistent creatures. These creatures clearly wanted the little guy and his group to clear the way for them, so that when they actually entered the ancestral habitat, they would all do their best to kill the little guy and his group!
The little guy knew exactly what these creatures were thinking, but he was too lazy to care. If he encountered something he couldn't understand, he could use these creatures as stepping stones for him!
The little creature led all living beings back to the stone steps, then crossed the steps and arrived at the edge of the cold pool!
The little guy had Xiong Xixi walk around the cold pool once, then took the torch from the wolf and threw it into the pool. The torch landed on the surface of the pool.
The torch floated on the water and didn't sink at all! It even made a crackling sound! The light brown pool water suddenly stirred, as if it were terrified of the flames burning on the torch! The torch quickly sank into the depths of the icy pool...
"Master, this water looks so strange!" The wolf watched as the torch, now submerged in the icy pool, seemed to have fallen into wax, only burning a small hole around it before slowly sinking downwards. It was nothing like normal water, which would engulf and submerge anything that entered it!
"Are you sure what's in here is water?" the little guy asked the gray wolf with a wicked grin.
"What else could this be but water?" Gray Wolf asked, puzzled. He then lit a torch again, went to the edge of the icy pool, and took a closer look.
"My God!" the gray wolf cried out, his legs went weak with fright, and he almost fell into the icy pool!
"Did you see clearly?" The little guy looked at the gray wolf with a smile.
The gray wolf nodded in terror. The surface of the icy pool appeared to be muddy water, and falling into it would produce a splashing sound, but it wasn't water at all! Instead, it was teeming with creatures resembling mosquito larvae. Whenever a creature fell in, these larvae would burrow into its body and begin controlling it to attack its own kind!
"Master, now that we've figured it out, let's leave. This place looks terrifying!" the gray wolf said with a look of fear. Just thinking about the densely packed creatures inside, resembling mosquito larvae, gave him goosebumps all over his body!
"You've all seen it, this place is not a safe haven. I know what you creatures are thinking. Now I've found the problem, and it's up to you to figure out how to solve it. Don't you want to find the way to your ancestors? I can tell you very clearly now, the way is in this icy pool. How to cross this icy pool is up to you!" After the little guy finished speaking, he left with his five wolves and one bear, and then sat down not far away...
