Still so...clumsy!
She would do the documents herself even though they didn't need to be in front of her. What she could finish in an hour, Su Guo would take three hours or more to complete, but her parents always praised Su Guo.
She didn't say anything, just watched quietly, wondering when the other person would be able to see her.
Unexpectedly, Su Chen did not look up. He called her Su Chen, and even their names were different. She was a fruit that would be buried forever, while she was Chen, the place of the sun, the beginning of light. She was their morning light.
This was something that made her so jealous. She was always a supporting character, always an accompaniment to the happiness of this family of three, or rather, a witness, not a participant.
Su Chen finally finished what she was doing, or rather, she thought it was almost done drying.
"You've arrived?"
"Greetings, Your Majesty."
Su Guo performed a standard courtesy. Su Chen stood up and came to Su Guo's side. This was the first time she had met Su Guo.
"Your manners are excellent. Who taught you?"
There was even a hint of familiarity in her, perhaps this was the feeling of blood ties. She could really see her sister's shadow in her, even though she didn't feel this way the last time she saw her.
Su Guo smiled slightly. How interesting! She had practiced etiquette countless times in the past, hoping to receive a compliment, and now it came from her own sister, the person she hated the most.
Unfortunately, she no longer needs it.
"It was Steward Su who taught me. I only learned it briefly for two days. I hope Your Majesty will forgive my poor performance."
"No, not at all." Su Chen shook her head, then pulled Su Guo's hand and led her to sit on the sofa. It has to be said that Su Chen and her sister had many memories together.
She held onto her own feelings of love for the boy she had in her youth, and with a shy smile, she told herself that she liked him, even though he confessed his love to her the moment he turned around.
Then her parents severely punished her, asking what she had done wrong, mainly because she was prettier than Su Chen.
They're all terrible...terrible memories.
Su Chen looked at the other person's gentle features, which were exactly the same as her sister's. "I'm sorry for making you suffer. I should have found out the truth, otherwise you wouldn't have had to go through the pain of exile."
Su Guo shook her head. "It's nothing. Life is short, and it's always interesting to experience different things. I met some very interesting companions on the road."
Su Chen nodded, "Yes."
She was confined to the Su family's palace her entire life. All her rare daring experiences were during her youth, when she went with her sister. The most daring one was when she went to the Starry Sky Battlefield.
Then, she lost her sister.
She became an empress.
...
The chat with the Empress was pleasant, even more harmonious than expected. Her sister remained unchanged in her personality. If she didn't know what she and Bai Shan had done, she probably would have thought that the other woman was as stupid as ever.
Little sister, my first gift to you has arrived. Have you accepted it?
Su Guo looked at her hands, which were covered in He Shou Wu powder. Lu Yulan's memories contained many interesting things, which, combined with the royal family's century-old treasures, made them even more intriguing.
However, there was very little of this powder, and given Su Chen's physical strength, this specially formulated powder only reminded her of some interesting experiences.
...
Wei Guang frowned, somewhat nervous, after all, today was election day.
"Miss Lan, aren't you nervous?"
He even had time to eat blueberries, which made even an outsider like him nervous.
"The blueberries are nice, you should try them."
