Chapter 13 Seeing Through Sister Li (1/2)

Chapter 13 Seeing Through Sister Li

Su He turned and went into the room, found a large piece of white paper, cut a large strip of paper three fingers wide, looked at it, took the glue and pen on Jin Weiguo's desk, turned around and walked out.

Although Sister Li had returned home, Su He hadn't forgotten and praised her in front of others: "Sister Li is so kind-hearted. She always helps our family get food!"

After she finished speaking, she looked at Liu Aihua and said, "Xiao Liu, you see, my head was hit and I just got out of the hospital. Could you please help me carry the rice and flour to the kitchen cupboard?"

What's so great about this little favor? Fifty kilograms of rice and flour are packed in two bags, and each bag weighs about twenty kilograms. For people who are used to heavy work, this weight is no problem at all.

Liu Aihua helped carry the rice and flour to the kitchen and put them in the cabinet under the cupboard as Su He requested.

Su He emptied out everything in the room. There was not much rice or flour left, so she carried it all to the dining table next to her.

Liu Aihua put away all the rice and flour in two trips, said goodbye and turned to leave.

Su He hurriedly stopped him. "Xiao Liu, I'm just thick-skinned. My family, Weiguo, accuses me of secretly taking food to support my parents every day. This time, I took so much food again. To clear my name, could you please give me a favor?"

Liu Aihua had also heard the rumors spread by Dr. Jin's family, so she asked, "Comrade Su, how can you help?"

Su He pointed to the paper, pen, and glue on the dining table and said, "Xiao Liu, please sign for me and seal this cabinet! When Weiguo comes home, I'll open the cabinet door in front of him!"

Liu Aihua smiled helplessly and shook her head, saying, "Alright, if this seal can help Comrade Su, then I'll do it!"

The five bags of rice and flour were sealed in the cupboard, but the three words "Liu Aihua" were still written vigorously.

The cabinet has been there for a long time, and the door has become a little deformed and can't be closed tightly. The seal is also stuck on it crookedly.

Su He thanked him and saw him off.

Seeing the little tail, Su He followed the big boy beside him and said, "Watch your little brother and sister carefully. Don't let them tear this paper, okay?"

Daxiao is really grown up. When he was watching from the side, he couldn't help but ask: "Mom, why did you do this?"

Su He: "Be obedient and think for yourself to see if you can guess it. If you guess it, mom will make you delicious food tonight!"

There was food hanging around, and the eldest son was playing with his younger siblings and didn't go near the kitchen.

Su He looked at the rice and noodles left over from last month on the table and thought it was not bad, at least there was still fine rice and noodles to eat. It was a pity that there was not much meat and nothing else except eggs.

There is a bed of leeks and a bed of cucumbers in the yard, and a bed of tomatoes against the north wall. There are two large pots next to the well, in which some chives are planted. Every time I eat them, I leave the roots like I do with leeks and pinch the stems and leaves to eat.

Su He didn't know whether Jin Weiguo would come back for lunch, but she and her three children had to eat.

She decided to have pancakes and rice soup for lunch.

She grabbed two handfuls of rice from the rice bag on the dining table, washed them clean, thought for a moment, and poured the rice washing water into the washbasin and collected it. She could save the water for washing her face.

There are two stoves. The pot on the small stove is a double-handled aluminum pot. Su He uses this pot to cook rice soup, which is the kind of porridge with less rice and more soup.

After lighting the fire, she asked Daqi to help watch it and add more firewood in time if it ran out. Then she turned around and went to get the flour and dough.

There was some leftover flour from last month, also in a snakeskin bag, with only a little left. She simply poured it all into the basin.

Er Xiao was playing in the living room with Xiao Bao. He came over and asked, "Mom, what delicious food are you going to make? Dumplings?"

Su He: "We're not eating dumplings today. I'm going to make you some rice you've never eaten before! But you have to be obedient and look after your sister, okay?"

Erqi: "Mom, I was watching my sister. She pulled my hair just now, but I didn't spank her!"

Su He: "...Erqi is really great!"

After kneading the noodles and setting them aside, Su He went to the yard to pick two cucumbers, cut them into shreds and set them aside.

She took out three more eggs and fried them with soybean paste to make a large bowl of egg sauce. She washed the pot and turned off the fire underneath.

Su He went back to preparing the dough. The dough had just risen, so she divided it into roughly sized portions, rolled each into a long, oval shape, about the size of an adult's palm, and placed them two by two on the table.
