Chapter 15 Opening the Snack Blind Box (2/2)

Su He looked around and saw that there were too many things to put on the coffee table, so she asked Daqi to help: "Daqi, help Mommy put the sugar and milk powder and malted milk on the chest of drawers first, and then Mommy will find some snacks for you!"

The three children knew that it was their mother who prepared the food, and they were as happy as if it were New Year’s Day.

Su He herself was extremely happy. She took out all the snacks from under the snakeskin bag and placed them on the coffee table as if she was opening a box blindly.

Su He laid out the snacks and counted them, and there were actually sixteen packages of snacks!

Su He: "Are these all sent by your colleagues in the family compound? There are too many, right?"

Jin Weiguo: "The other two were given by your colleagues. Many people also gave money and tickets!"

Su He glanced at him, and the meaning was very obvious, "Where are the money and tickets?"

Jin Weiguo glanced at her and said calmly, "I'll keep it. Ask me for it when you need it!"

Su He lowered his head to look at the expiration date on the snacks.

Most of them have a shelf life of 30 days, and some have a shorter shelf life. She puts the snacks with a shorter shelf life aside and the ones with a longer shelf life aside.

Some of them only had a few days left of their expiration date. She had only been injured a week, yet some of these snacks with a 30-day expiration date had already been passed down for over 20 days. It looked like someone had already had snacks at home. Or perhaps someone else had given them to her and then re-gifted them to her.

She picked out the peach cakes and shaqi ma (sweet pastries) with the least shelf life left, opened them, and let the three children help themselves to them.

Su He was quite happy to see these old-fashioned snacks. She said to the man, "I'll put these snacks on the chest of drawers. You can come and get them when you're hungry at night."

Jin Weiguo nodded and reminded her to drink the milk powder as soon as possible, otherwise it would expire.

Su He asked again: "Who gave you these two cans of milk powder? Can you help me buy more in the future?"

Jin Weiguo: "Forget about it! The milk powder was given to you by my teacher under the pretext of seeing a doctor, but it's actually for our child. Can I trouble my teacher to buy milk powder for the child?"

Su He remembered something and asked again, "Oh, by the way, why are all the milk powder, candies, and snacks in even numbers?"

Jin Weiguo glanced at her, then said calmly, "People always gave us gifts in even numbers. You said you didn't need to return the gifts, so you kept them all! But I remember when my mother gave us half of the gifts when our three children were one month old!"

Su He wants to lean on the wall again!

"You remember that time when Mom only replied halfway, why didn't you remind me this time? You made me embarrassed in the family compound!"

Jin Weiguo snorted and said nothing, but his expression was the same as what he said, "Anyway, people are laughing at you, not me!"

Su He wouldn't let him show off: "But we are a family. If people laugh at me, they are actually laughing at you. They are laughing at you for marrying a wife who doesn't understand social relationships!"

Jin Weiguo: "Haha, the sun really does rise from the west, and you still care about my face!"

Su He didn't want to talk anymore. She didn't know what trap her boss had set for her. This was something that disregarded the boss's face. It might be another bomb. She better not listen!

Su He opened and looked at the remaining packages of snacks. Peach cakes were the most common, followed by glutinous rice strips, Kaikouxiao, shaqima, two packages of puff pastry, and even two packages of ginger ribs and two packages of honey three-knife.

Ginger Spare Ribs and Honey Three Knifes should be Beijing-style dim sum, so why would someone send these? So Su He asked, "Who sent these two dim sum?"

Jin Weiguo: "This is what the dean brought back to me when he was on a business trip to Beijing."

Su He likes sweet snacks, especially old-fashioned ones like Honey Sandwich, which are super sweet and greasy. She asked nervously, "Oh, you like snacks that are so sweet and greasy?"

Jin Weiguo nodded: "You said it was sweet and greasy, it seems you don't like it!"

Su He gritted her teeth. This man was too much of a dog. "No, no, no, I like it. There are so many snacks anyway. Let's eat together as a family!"

Jin Weiguo: "Okay, I'm just kidding. I'm going to work. I still have some in my office for when I work overtime. I brought these back for you guys to eat."

Su He: Could you please not breathe so heavily when you speak next time?

The three children enjoyed the meal very much, but no matter how much Su He liked it, she didn't dare to eat this high-sweet, high-calorie carbohydrate snack at night.

Finally, I took care of the three children and put them to bed like little pigs.

Su He thought for a while, and told the children a story while fanning them with a palm-leaf fan. After finally coaxing the three children to sleep, Su He had time to start her daily care routine.
