Confrontation
"Brother Fang Huai, come on."
Yang Nong invited eagerly with his handsome face, and the puppy next to him also licked Fang Huai's palm with its tongue in a flattering manner.
Fang Huai felt a chill beside him. Kong Lingyu held the steering wheel tightly with one hand and held his hand with the other. He also tilted his head to look at Fang Huai, as if he was determined not to let go.
"The little bugs are cute, but maybe next time."
Fang Huai rubbed Border Collie's head helplessly and declined with a smile.
As soon as he finished speaking, he felt the hand holding him loosen. Kong Lingyu hooked Fang Huai's finger with his little finger, and the corners of his mouth raised secretly.
"Okay, sit down, little bug."
Yang Nong rubbed the Border Collie's head, holding his face and looking forward. Fang Huai waved his hand to signal Kong Lingyu to let go, and Kong Lingyu reluctantly let go.
"So, let's go?"
Fang Huai looked at Yang Nong and asked if he wanted to take anything else. Yang Nong shook his head and said, "Let's go! This is my first time here and everything feels new to me. By the way, Brother Fang Huai, I heard there will be a lot of delicious food at that garden party. I'd like to try them all later."
"Ouch, little bug, why are you biting me?!"
With the two funny guys' jokes, the car became lively. Fang Huai saw Kong Lingyu's serious face and mouthed, "Smile."
Kong Lingyu was distracted and reluctantly curled the corners of his lips.
His planned world of two was destroyed by a man and a dog that appeared out of nowhere. He couldn't laugh...
"What? The event was canceled?"
The three people and the dog arrived at their destination, but were informed that the event had been cancelled.
Yang Nong, holding the dog, said regretfully, "Why didn't you tell me earlier? I've been looking forward to it all the way."
The staff member apologized and said, "We just received the notice. We are really sorry. This is our company's coupon. You can get a 20% discount next time you participate. I am really sorry."
"All right."
Yang Nong took the coupon dejectedly, and walked back to Fang Huai with the puppy in a dejected manner.
Seeing Yang Nong coming over, both the man and the dog lost their previous excitement. Fang Huai didn't know whether to laugh or cry: "It's okay, there will be activities later, we will come together then."
"Really?"
Yang Nong, like a child who is easily coaxed, immediately looked up and said, "Brother Fang Huai, it's a deal."
"You're always slow to reply. I sent you a message before, and it took you ages to reply." Yang Nong thought about how Fang Huai always took ages to reply to him when he sent a message to him before. He confirmed with some disbelief, "Do you mean what you said?"
Kong Lingyu folded his hands, looking like he was enjoying the fun. Fang Huai felt uncomfortable being stared at by the two of them. He squatted down and petted the puppy to hide his embarrassment, saying, "It's a deal."
During the time when Yang Nong left Caiyun Town, he often sent messages to Fang Huai, sharing his daily life from time to time. Fang Huai was in a mess and he couldn't even spare the energy to respond to Yang Nong's enthusiasm.
He glared at Kong Lingyu, who was trying to hold back his laughter, with a guilty look on his face, and Kong Lingyu came to the rescue with a smile.
"Since the activities here are cancelled, do you want to go shopping around?"
“The surrounding environment is nice and you can also walk your dog there.”
Kong Lingyu helped Fang Huai up, stood beside him and said with a smile: "Your dog likes Mai Mai very much."
Yang Nong followed his gaze and saw the usually aloof little Chong wagging his tail and circling around Fang Huai's feet, with the dog leash wrapped around Fang Huai's legs. The more Fang Huai tried to stop him, the more excited the little guy became, and he ran around Fang Huai freely.
Kong Lingyu put his arm around Fang Huai's waist to help him steady himself. Yang Nong quickly reacted and chased the dog. It took a lot of effort to pin the little bug down. While apologizing, he stuffed the Border Collie into his arms and said, "What are you doing? Brother Fang Huai is almost dizzy because of you!"
The Border Collie lowered its head in grievance after being taught a lesson. Yang Nong knew that this guy was pretending to be innocent again, so he patted the puppy's head and looked up at Fang Huai and said, "Brother Fang Huai, are you okay?"
Fang Huai shook his head, "It's okay."
Kong Lingyu withdrew his hand only after Yangnong looked away. Yangnong took in the intimate actions of the two.
"Little Bug probably just arrived here and is a little excited. I'll take it for a walk around here." Yang Nong grabbed Little Bug's mouth and suddenly paused, "Brother Fang Huai, what are you and your friends planning to do?"
Yang Nong emphasized the word "friend" so much that Fang Huai was too slow to hear it. However, Kong Lingyu's eyes became stern, and the two of them exchanged glances where Fang Huai couldn't see.
Seeing Kong Lingyu's reaction, Yang Nong immediately understood that this guy had not yet become her official girlfriend and was still just a suitor.
"Brother Fang Huai, do you want to walk the dog together?"
Just as Yang Nong had invited him, Kong Lingyu's phone rang. It was Tan Cheng calling for work. Fang Huai saw that Kong Lingyu looked serious and knew that he was needed for the ship's schedule. He said with understanding, "You go ahead and do your work. Yang Nong and I will take a look around here. Come find me when you're done."
Kong Lingyu frowned, looked at the "ill-intentioned" man and dog standing beside him, then looked at the unsuspecting Fang Huai, and sighed in his heart.
But the situation on Tan Cheng's side seemed very urgent, so he finally had no choice but to compromise: "Then I'll pick you up later."
"Maimai, don't run around with others."
Kong Lingyu took Fang Huai into his arms as if no one was around, and whispered in Fang Huai's ear, "Wait for me, okay?"
"Um."
Fang Huai patted Kong Lingyu. He was keenly aware that Kong Lingyu was in a bad mood, so he softened his tone and said, "You go ahead and do your work. Call me if you have anything."
"good."
After Kong Lingyu drove away, Fang Huai and Yang Nong took the puppy for a walk in the park.
Yang Nong was a man who couldn't hold back his thoughts. He took Xiao Chong to the bench and sat down, patting the empty seat next to him: "Fang Huai, come and sit here."
"Tell me, what do you want to ask?"
Fang Huai always treated the boy in front of him as his younger brother. The sunny and energetic boy always had the ability to pass on happiness to others. Sometimes Fang Huai felt that Yang Nong was like his puppy, reckless and lively, and occasionally a little scheming.
"Brother Fang Huai, are you breaking up?"
Yang Nong threw a frisbee to Xiao Chong, and waited for Xiao Chong to run over and catch it before asking, "Is this man your suitor now?"
"I see you seem to have lost a lot of weight. Is it because you are unhappy?"
“Is this man good to you now?”
A series of questions came out of Yangnong's mouth, and Fang Huai didn't know which one to answer for a moment.
He picked up Yang Nong's first question, took the Frisbee that Xiao Chong had just brought back and said, "Yes, we broke up."
After saying that, Fang Huai touched Xiao Chong's head and threw out the red frisbee. The puppy ran out happily to chase the frisbee.
"Kong Lingyu." Fang Huai frowned when he mentioned Kong Lingyu. He met Yang Nong's curious gaze and paused.
How should he introduce Kong Lingyu to Yang Nong? What should he say?
Was Kong Lingyu his childhood sweetheart? A playmate? A friend or a lover?
However, neither of them made their relationship clear, and they were probably not lovers yet. But even though they were not lovers, they had already crossed the line of friends.
Fang Huai pursed his lips in confusion, the familiar face of Kong Lingyu constantly appearing in his mind. If Kong Lingyu were here, he would probably declare his sovereignty and say, "We will be together in the future."
"I belong to Fang Huai."
Thinking of this, Fang Huai curled his eyes, took the frisbee from the puppy and said, "We will be together later."
"real?"
"Um."
Fang Huai looked towards the distance where the flying disc was flying, and when he saw a familiar figure, his brows relaxed and he smiled sincerely.
The man not far away seemed to see him as well and waved at him.
Yang Nong said helplessly: "This guy is really fast."
"But judging by his expression, he seems to really like Brother Fang Huai." Yang Nong suddenly leaned close to Fang Huai, winked at him, and mouthed, "Don't move."
The next second, a force surged from his waist, and Fang Huai was pulled into the arms of a man who hurried over. Kong Lingyu looked at Yang Nong with a cold look of provocation: "What do you want to do?"
Yang Nong glanced at the colorful thread sachet that was sticking out of Kong Lingyu's pocket and didn't answer.
He just said goodbye to Fang Huai with a smile: "Brother Fang Huai, I am very happy today."
"Let's go to the garden together next time. I'm leaving now." Yang Nong blew a loud whistle. Xiao Chong, hearing the whistle, quickly grabbed the frisbee and lay down obediently at his feet. Yang Nong lowered his head, touched Xiao Chong's neck and whispered, "Good boy, let's go."
“Have fun.”
Before leaving, Yang Nong blew a kiss to Fang Huai and said, "Brother Fang Huai, you have to believe in fate and destiny."
Yang Nong pointed to his pocket meaningfully, and Fang Huai immediately understood that Yang Nong was talking about the red line.
Yangnong seemed to know something, but before he could ask, Yangnong took Xiaochong away.
The man holding him from behind said in a low voice, full of jealousy: "The person is gone."
"I know." Fang Huai patted Kong Lingyu's hand and said, "Are you done with your company's work?"
Kong Lingyu's eyes were erratic, and Fang Huai immediately realized that this guy hadn't gone at all. He couldn't stand it any longer and said, "Kong Lingyu!"
"I am here."
"Did you really go back to the company?" Tan Cheng pressed his solar plexus and said, "Or did you not go back at all?"
"I went back." Seeing Fang Huai was really angry, Kong Lingyu confessed honestly, "But I solved it quickly."
After saying that, he squatted in front of Fang Huai as if to ask for credit, "Maimai, what were you guys talking about just now? Can you tell me?"
Kong Lingyu cleverly changed the subject. He didn't tell the truth, and Fang Huai deliberately teased Kong Lingyu, imitating Kong Lingyu's previous pretentious manner and saying, "Secret."
"Click."
The candy box in Kong Lingyu's pocket was crushed, and the veins on his arm bulged under his sleeve. Kong Lingyu was jealous and mad, but he didn't show it on his face. "Can't you tell me?"
"no."
Fang Huai ruthlessly rejected it, and stood up and said, "Go home."
Fang Huai took a few steps and glanced behind him. Seeing Kong Lingyu looking frustrated, he smiled calmly, stretched out his hand and said, "Kong Lingyu?"
Kong Lingyu immediately followed and took Fang Huai's hand: "Okay, let's go home."
As the two walked away, a handsome young man's face appeared from behind the tree on the left side of the bench. He watched the two walking side by side intimately, and the tall man gently held Fang Huai's hand.
Yang Nong couldn't help but touch the obedient puppy at his feet and sighed, "Sure enough, every dog has its own way of tying it up."
