physical altercations
Fang Henan always feels guilty when facing Fang Huai.
His eyes glanced towards the door from time to time. Fang Huai noticed that he didn't take his actions to heart, but was concentrating on tasting the pudding in front of him.
The surface was roasted until golden brown. When he tapped it with a spoon, the slightly crispy milk skin on the top layer broke, and the soft jelly underneath was punctured. It was sweet, but within his acceptable range.
Paired with this place's extra bitter coffee, it's a pretty good combination.
"Brother, I'm going out for a while."
Fang Henan seemed to have seen something. He stood up and turned back to explain to Fang Huai, who nodded.
But Fang Henian had been gone for more than ten minutes and had not returned. Fang Huai was just about to call him when a chuckle sounded from above. The man sat down opposite him naturally, supporting his head with his hands, and looked at Fang Huai with a smile.
"Maimai, long time no see."
The light brown coat weakens the aggressiveness of the body. The loose hair in front of the forehead hangs down on the pale forehead. The dark eyes are slightly narrowed, and the corners of the eyes are raised, like a deliberately disguised poisonous snake.
Fang Huai tilted his head and put down the spoon. The silver spoon made a crisp sound as it struck the porcelain plate. He hurriedly swallowed the pudding in his mouth, his fingers curled up helplessly, and after some hesitation, he reached for the coffee cup beside him.
"You don't have to drink it if you don't like it."
A pale big hand pressed down the hand that had just touched the rim of the cup, and the rough palm firmly covered the cold back of Fang Huai's hand.
Kong Lingyu's palm was very hot, extending along Fang Huai's cold back of the hand to his entire arm.
Kong Lingyu's palm was so big that it could actually hold Fang Huai's hand completely.
The two are at opposite ends of the spectrum in terms of both personality and appearance.
Fang Huai has fair skin, a high nose bridge, soft and attractive facial features, clear brown pupils, and a small mole under the slightly blunt corners of his eyes, which reduces his indifference and adds a bit of charm. He looks like a small pavilion with carved beams in the mist, exquisite and restrained.
This contradiction is just right, one more point would be too bright, one less point would be too light, just right.
He was gentle and aloof, without any aggression. Sitting in front of the window, the sunlight filtered through the glass onto his soft hair, giving him a soft halo, and his whole body was glowing.
Kong Lingyu stared at Fang Huai intently. His features were sharp and aggressive, his eyes narrow and long, and his pale skin, devoid of a trace of blood, formed a stark contrast to Fang Huai's cold, pale complexion. However, his face was heavily colored, with dark pupils and scarlet lips.
Like a poisonous snake with a sharp tongue.
Fang Huai secretly tried to pull his hand back, but was suppressed. He raised his eyes and looked at Kong Lingyu with displeasure.
Kong Lingyu slowly moved his hand away and pretended nothing had happened as he moved the coffee away.
"sorry."
Kong Lingyu bowed his head and apologized.
Fang Huai sat back and looked at Kong Lingyu in confusion.
"I apologize for my self-righteousness, Fang Huai. I'm sorry."
Kong Lingyu was sincere. He poured a cup of hot tea for Fang Huai. Fang Huai took it and held the cup. The water temperature transferred the warmth to his cold palm through the thin cup wall, making him feel much more comfortable.
A touch of white appeared inadvertently on the cuff of his coat, and appeared again when Kong Lingyu put down the teapot.
The wrist was wrapped in a thick white bandage, but blood seeped through the bandage, indicating that the wound was very deep.
After Kong Lingyu noticed Fang Huai's gaze, he adjusted his cuffs inconspicuously to hide the bloodstain.
"I don't blame you."
Fang Huai shook his head.
Kong Lingyu opened his mouth, looked at Fang Huai with burning eyes, and said something shocking:
"Do you hate them?"
"I can make everyone regret it, including me."
His tone was serious, and his dark pupils were filled with sticky paranoia. Fang Huai was frightened by the emotion in his eyes and sat up straight with vigilance:
"Kong Lingyu, I have never hated anyone."
"I don't need what you said."
Looking at the alert Fang Huai, Kong Lingyu laughed out loud, "I was just kidding. I'm so sorry for scaring you."
He shrugged and said, "If you don't like it, I won't make such a joke again."
Fang Huai was half-believing and half-doubting. When Kong Lingyu said these words, he strangely felt that as long as he agreed, Kong Lingyu might really put it into practice.
Kong Lingyu said helplessly: "Don't worry, I am a good citizen who abides by the law."
"Well," Fang Huai took a bite of pudding, looked out the window and said, "Then I believe you."
Kong Lingyu tilted his head and stared at Fang Huai. His burning gaze seemed to penetrate Fang Huai. He pursed his lips:
"Can we still be friends?"
Fang Huai turned around and smiled calmly: "If you think of it."
"We've always been friends."
Fang Huai's words were ambiguous, and Kong Lingyu's expression froze noticeably, with a hint of unwillingness flashing across his eyes.
But Fang Huai had keenly caught on to it, and now he truly understood Kong Lingyu. On the surface, he appeared to be smiling, humorous, and easygoing, but his inner coldness and paranoia would seep through his every word.
Fang Huai was frightened by the indifference of ignoring everyone and standing apart from the crowd.
Kong Lingyu chewed on the word "friend" repeatedly, his eyelashes casting a shadow. He lowered his head, perfectly hiding the emotions in his eyes, "Can we only be friends?"
"We have discussed this issue before, Kong Lingyu." Fang Huai said seriously:
"We can only be friends."
Kong Lingyu raised his head and laughed foolishly. He didn't know which word in Fang Huai's words tickled his funny bone, but his shoulders were shaking with laughter.
Two striking-looking men sat together, and one of them was smiling foolishly, attracting a lot of people's attention.
The waiter came forward and asked if he needed help, but Fang Huai declined awkwardly, "No, thank you."
But Kong Lingyu was still looking at him and smiling. He, who was always good-tempered, kicked Kong Lingyu from under the table, covered his face with his hands and whispered:
"Kong Lingyu! Stop laughing."
The white and slender neck was covered with embarrassed red. Fang Huai's strength was very small. Kong Lingyu saw the red on his neck spreading to his ears and put away his smile.
Kong Lingyu said, "Okay, I won't laugh anymore."
Fang Huai raised his head awkwardly and took a sip of water to cover up: "Hmmmm."
Just be friends, at least you are willing to pay attention to me. Kong Lingyu looked at the door. A man was looking at them with an unhappy look. He must have been there for a while.
With a light-colored scarf hanging on his arm, he glanced at Kong Lingyu and completely ignored him.
The man looked at Fang Huai and walked towards him.
Fang Huai seemed to sense something and turned around to meet the man's gaze. "Li Xuan?"
"Why are you here?"
Li Xuan's cold expression was frightening. He curled his lips and shook the scarf in his hand: "I'm here to take you home."
After saying that, he handed the scarf to Fang Huai, who took it and put it on, saying goodbye to Kong Lingyu: "Goodbye, Kong Lingyu."
Kong Lingyu sat in his seat, turned sideways and smiled and responded: "Maimai, goodbye."
Li Xuan seemed to be asserting his sovereignty. He grabbed Fang Huai's hand and walked out the door. Fang Huai almost tripped. Kong Lingyu quickly stood up, clenched his fists and wanted to rush over.
But Fang Huai followed Li Xuan's steps and shook his head at Kong Lingyu.
"Hold!"
Kong Lingyu stood there and took a deep breath, but when he saw Fang Huai being pulled and staggered again, he could no longer hold back and rushed forward, punching Li Xuan hard in the face.
"Trash, trash that only makes the other person angry."
The panicked screams and the sounds of fists colliding were like a splash of hot oil, bringing the tense atmosphere in the restaurant to a climax.
Kong Lingyu pulled Li Xuan's hand away and carefully took Fang Huai's hand out. Seeing the red mark on Fang Huai's wrist, he rushed towards Li Xuan fiercely:
"Have you always treated him like this?"
The person dear to his heart was actually treated like this. Anger filled his whole heart. Kong Lingyu clenched his fists so hard that they made a creaking sound. Just when his fists were about to land on Li Xuan, Fang Huai stood in front of Li Xuan.
"Kong Lingyu, don't do this."
"Why?" Kong Lingyu was puzzled. He looked at Fang Huai with red eyes, unwilling to accept it. "Why not?"
