For the next two days, heavy rain and strong winds lashed the air. This final wave of spring's cold front, like a divorced woman, threw a tantrum before finally letting go. Television and radio broadcasts urged citizens to reduce travel, and the light rail was briefly suspended, a rare occurrence.
Fortunately, although the resentful woman had amazing fighting power, she came and went quickly. The clouds and fog dissipated early in the morning of the third day, and the bright sun shone on the earth again. It happened to be Friday, and the people of Shenhai were all happy.
At three o'clock in the afternoon, in the Shenhai City Planning Reporting Hall, a bidding meeting for the project to build a playground for a remote primary school in Yunnan was being held.
A high-spirited young entrepreneur was presenting a clearly organized PPT on the stage. He was well-prepared and spoke with ease, showing the advantages of his own plan to the fullest.
Before him, three sports equipment companies had completed their program presentations, and each of them had performed well.
Meng Xiaoya and Xiao Xingyu attended the event in their best attire and sat in the audience. When they heard the wonderful parts, they generously applauded their colleagues.
The operations director of Shiyue Group looked at the two masters, one big and one small, who seriously lacked a sense of crisis, wiped the sweat from his forehead, and boldly expressed his concerns to Meng Xiaoya.
"Chairman, it looks like we're going to lose this bid. Every bidder's bid is lower than ours!"
Meng Xiaoya waved her hand: "No, we will definitely win. Don't let others' ambitions be emboldened and your own prestige be eroded. Stay calm!"
The operations director looked at his carefree female chairman with concern, unable to bear saying anything discouraging.
Chairman Meng saw what he was thinking, pointed at Xiao Xingyu, and gave him an OK gesture: "With Xingyu here, we will definitely be fine!"
Then, as if that wasn't enough, he added gleefully, "When have we ever lost?"
The operations director lifted the collar of his suit to fan himself, wondering where his chairman got the sense of showing off from.
Although everyone respectfully calls this prince Mr. Xiao, it's mostly just a respectful title. He only comes to the company a few times a year, and only comes after his older single mother coaxes, tricks, and even threatens to sever their ties. I've never heard of him caring about business, only his vagrant, self-destructive record and his unrestrained affairs. Can you really expect him to do that?
The operations director pressed his forehead and mentally prepared for failure, so that at least there would be someone who could hold on when the results were announced.
After the young entrepreneur finished his speech on the stage and answered a few questions from the bid evaluation team, the applause was sparse. No one was really willing to applaud their competitors, except for the mother and son from Shiyue Group.
The conference host thanked the young entrepreneurs and then invited Shiyue Group to come on stage for a presentation.
Xiao Xingyu stood up slowly and walked onto the stage while buttoning his formal suit. His demeanor was enough to be on the red carpet of a Paris fashion show.
When Xiao Xingyu stood on the stage, everyone's attention was naturally focused on him.
Based on the reputation of Shiyue Group in the industry and the legend of the prince's death, everyone was very interested in the following speech.
"Good afternoon, leaders and colleagues. I am Xiao Xingyu, representing Shiyue Group."
It seemed like he had introduced himself, but it also seemed like he hadn't. After finishing this brief opening statement that didn't seem like an opening speech, Xiao Xingyu turned sideways to the presentation screen behind him and directly switched to the last two pages of the PPT.
"This is Shiyue's quote. The cost is 15% higher than the previous four companies. We don't have any advantage in price comparison."
This sudden operation immediately confused the whole audience!
There was silence for 2 seconds, and then a burst of discussion arose.
"Why is this young man so reckless? Who would reveal their past right away?"
"Haha, this is really eye-opening. This is the first time I've seen people talk about targets like this!"
"Is Shi Yue finished? Is there no one left? How dare they let such a greasy-haired, second-generation rich kid come up here!"
…
All kinds of jokes came into his ears, and Shi Yue's operations director lowered his head, temporarily wanting to distance himself from Shi Yue.
Looking at his family's chairman, he was also staring at the stage in amazement, obviously puzzled by his son's amazing actions.
Xiao Xingyu calmly waited for the discussion in the audience to subside, then spoke slowly, "There are already systematic building standards in the playground construction industry. There are reference standards for the acceptance of various equipment and facilities, and the construction technology threshold is not very high. I believe that any company here is capable of completing this project."
Xiao Xingyu's voice is deep and pleasant, and seems to have a kind of magic that makes people unconsciously pay more attention to him.
"I just listened carefully to the quotes from various sister companies. Almost all of them were estimated based on previous projects. Coincidentally, I just did a quick count of the projects each company has undertaken across the country over the past five years."
As he spoke, he pressed the remote control and called up a PPT - the page showed four maps of China, and each map was dotted with projects of the four bidding units distributed across the country.
Xiao Xingyu glanced at the people below and smiled slightly: "Don't worry, there is absolutely no undercover agent of Shi Yue in each department. This is all collected based on the information you published online."
In fact, when these four pictures came out, the whole audience was silent. Although each unit did not know what Xiao Xingyu wanted to do, the feeling of being known by the opponent already made them feel extremely scared.
"First, let's look at the up-and-coming company, Maijie. Over the past five years, its sports venue projects have been primarily concentrated in cities and counties in the Yangtze River Delta. Zhongkai Group, with its extensive resources, has projects across major provincial capitals nationwide. Yaocheng and Sanjiang are similar, focusing on the Pearl River Delta and covering first-, second-, and third-tier cities."
After talking for a while until here, Xiao Xingyu threw away the remote control in his hand, supported the podium with both hands, and his superior figure was wrapped in a well-fitting suit. He looked at the people below the stage, like a falcon with spread wings overlooking a group of weak chicks.
