Chapter 55, Chapter Fifty-Four

Chapter 55, Chapter Fifty-Four

Meanwhile, Obito, who had been waiting for Yuki at the border of the Land of Rain for a long time, received news of White Zetsu.

Obito Uchiha remained silent for a long time, unsure whether Yuki had willingly been captured by Kakashi.

“Xiaoxue, she might not remember yet.” Bai Jue spoke silently in the low-pressure room: “She left marks secretly along the way.”

Beneath the mask, Obito narrowed his eyes slightly. Outside the window was the gray, misty landscape of the Land of Rain, where it rained all year round.

Perhaps he was too lenient with Uchiha Yuki; shouldn't he be punished a little...?

Whether it was voluntary or not, he shouldn't let Uchiha Yuki's every move be too presumptuous.

So as not to hinder his plans, he should not, for he still harbors lingering emotions from the past only towards Uchiha Yuki.

She had to hate him.

That kind of love is truly intense, not just her fleeting smile.

This childish, fragile emotion is as easily broken as a dream.

He doesn't need it.

night.

After finally shaking off Kakashi and Tenzo's almost exhaustive search, Lin Xue grabbed a trench coat from a street vendor in the chaotic night market, covering it over her Akatsuki robe, and tossed a few coins onto the stall. Concealing her form, scent, and chakra, she hid in a dimly lit alley.

Suddenly, a fluctuation appeared in the space, as if tearing the air apart.

The tall man who emerged wore an orange swirling mask and had short, neat black hair.

Even though his walking posture is very casual, it gives people a strong sense of aggression.

"kite!"

Lin Xue instinctively wanted to throw herself into his arms, but he didn't treat her as casually as usual.

He reached out and grabbed her by the back of her collar, then threw her into the Divine Might Space.

Lin Xue revealed a cat-like face: ?

When they were brought out again, they were already in the Land of Rain.

"Why didn't Yuan come to pick me up directly? I almost got captured by Konoha ninjas," Lin Xue complained, following beside Obito. Obito led her to an inn. The room was simply furnished: a bed, a table, a chair, a bathroom, and a window.

"Don't you want to go back?" The man's tone was indifferent, as if he were simply asking if the person had eaten.

Lin Xue paused for a moment, then sat down on a chair in the room.

The dim, orange-yellow light in the room flickered, and the man looked down at her.

Beneath the mask were scarlet eyes, with three tomoe rotating within them.

Lin Xue does not resist the identity of Uchiha Xue and is trying to accept it.

She frowned, pursed her lips slightly, and seemed a little downcast.

"In no mood."

"Why?" Obito asked.

Lin Xue got a little angry and stood up.

Not to be outdone, crimson Sharingan eyes appeared in her eyes.

The two looked at each other, and Obito finally looked away.

"Because I don't know them, why should I go with them?"

"I only know you, Uchiha Tobi."

"Don't define me by your so-called methods."

"I want to help you, simply because I want to help you."

Lin Xue stepped forward and grabbed Obito's collar, her Sharingan eyes meeting his gaze directly.

Despite his initial intention to sever these weak and useless emotions, Obito ultimately failed to do so.

This conversation is just like the one he had when he was young.

Both he and Xue were taking care of each other with the idea that they were doing what was best for each other.

Lin Xue didn't understand him. He clearly cared about her, yet he pretended not to, numbing himself to the truth.

She approached him, taking the initiative. Although she was somewhat angry, she didn't dislike Yuan.

The kiss landed on the upper lip of the mask, and Obito was stunned for a moment, his eyes widening slightly.

Her beautiful face was flushed; clearly, it was the first time she had done something like this.

Her almond-shaped, obsidian-like eyes, shimmering with light, were fixed on his face, but the mask concealed his emotions, making it impossible to discern them.

Lin Xue gently reached out and tiptoed to remove his mask. Obito instinctively turned his face away, revealing only his undamaged right profile to her. In the dim light, light and shadow intertwined, flickering between bright and dark. Lin Xue gently kissed his right cheek and placed the mask on the table beside her.

"Don't look..."

Obito whispered as if in supplication, unwilling to expose the other half of his scarred and disfigured face to her.

He was afraid she would be scared.

Lin Xue bit her lower lip. She reached out and cupped his face in her hands, making him look directly at her.

Obito looked away, a hint of bewilderment on his face for the first time.

On one side of the man's face was a hideous appearance covered with horrific scars, and on the other side was a handsome face with sharp eyebrows and bright eyes.

His face is rather long and thin, with a clear and sharp jawline and a prominent Adam's apple.

His deep-set facial features give him a cool, resolute, and rugged look.

Lin Xue didn't feel scared by the scar; instead, a pang of heartache rose from the bottom of her heart.

She tiptoed and gently kissed the man's left cheek.

He asked softly, "Aren't you scared?"

Lin Xue blushed slightly, but refused to look away from him. Their similar black eyes met, and she scratched her face with her finger: "It would be a lie to say I'm not scared, just a little bit." Then, she couldn't help but look at his face, her voice becoming affectedly sweet: "But... I didn't expect Yuan to be so handsome."

The atmosphere seemed to be instantly ignited by those words, becoming intense.

Obito lowered his eyes, his eyelashes obscuring his expression for a moment.

When he looked up again, his eyes were a little moist, with a hint of desire.

"Want to give it a try?"

Even Lin Xue knew that adult men and women should not be alone together in a room.

She didn't know what the other person meant by those words, or whether this body had ever done such a thing.

However, this scene also made her heart itch with desire, and even the air was filled with a sweet atmosphere.

"Ah... I don't know..." she said softly, but her eyes shone like stars.

Such an answer, indeed, is snow. Obito chuckled softly.

Lin Xue couldn't help but gasp; what an unfair smile!

"Then let's clean it first."

As Dai Tu walked, he took off his kimono. In front of the bathroom, Lin Xue felt like she was about to have a nosebleed.

The man's physique beneath his robes was remarkably robust and upright, half of his body a sickly pale white, composed of interstitial cells; the other half a normal tan. Lin Xue didn't look down, though she was somewhat curious.

"Aren't you going to take it off?" Obito said. "If we're going to do it, it's not good for your health if you don't wash it off first."

The sound of water in the shower and the man's deep voice rang out simultaneously. Lin Xue tied her long hair up behind her head, took off her trench coat, revealing her slender, fair, and voluptuous body under her robe, and entered the bathroom.

She said, "It took some effort to escape."

Obito's gaze was fixed on the red mark on her collarbone. Lin Xue felt a little embarrassed and covered her collarbone with her hand. He didn't say anything, but gently took her hand, lowered his head slightly, and covered the breath Kakashi left behind with a kiss.

Lin Xue couldn't help but let out a soft hum, and when she realized what was happening, she quickly covered her mouth and blinked.

"I want to hear snow."

The man's kiss was gentle, as if he were handling something fragile, with a tenderness he himself was unaware of.

A soft moan escaped Lin Xue's lips, a sensation like the rise and fall of ocean waves, intertwined with the sound of water rubbing between her lips and teeth.

For some reason, the battlefield quietly shifted to the snow-white bed sheet.

Lin Xue, who was beneath Obito, could only instinctively cling tightly to his neck.

The stimulation from the man's body, which was half cold and half hot, became increasingly intense.

"Don't leave me again, Xue." The man's deep, magnetic voice was pleading.

The sound of his warm breath brushed against her earlobe, and Lin Xue frowned, sensing his unease.

Her voice was broken and intermittent due to panting: "No... I won't leave."

Uchiha Tobi, who was always mysterious and powerful in front of her, was now extremely fragile and vulnerable.

Even though their bodies were connected, he kept repeating those anxious and uncertain words.

Obito was always afraid of losing her, and he exposed his deepest vulnerability without reservation.

Lin Xue had no choice but to gently cup his face and kiss him heavily on the lips until blood seeped from them.

The intertwined body temperatures gradually warmed his originally icy half.

"Don't...leave."

Hot tears slid down Obito's cheeks and dripped onto Lin Xue's face.

He cried.

Lin Xue's eyes widened slightly, and a feeling of helplessness spread like vines.

I really, really don't know how to comfort you.

Xue bit her lower lip, staring blankly at him crying, her heart filled with bitterness.

The words that came out of her mouth carried a kind of resolute, almost obsessive tone that even Lin Xue herself didn't understand.

"Don't cry."

"I promise I will never leave you, never."

"May I?"

Obito's tears stopped abruptly, and in that instant, his twisted and complex emotions were once again met with her unconditional acceptance.

His bewildered expression, and the vulnerability and tears he only showed to her.

Lin Xue gently wiped away the tears from the corners of his eyes. She let out a soft "hmm," turned her head away, and blushed from head to toe.

That's how love is.

A tingling sensation welled up from the bottom of my heart. I love you, Xue.

Their reflections were deep within their pupils: I will not abandon you, Yuan.

Obito held her tightly, his thick, white semen soaking into the flower's heart.

"Okay, you said it."

"Together forever, until death do us part."

Afterwards, Lin Xue remembered a question: "Could I be pregnant?"

Obito sat on the edge of the bed and said, "Do you... want a child?"

Lin Xue shook her head, and Obito reached out and gently placed his hand on her head.

"No, Xue."

At least he won't get her pregnant unless she wants to.

-

The "emptiness" that has remained vacant since Orochimaru's defection.

He was succeeded by Lin Xue.

Ah Fei, also known as Yuan, sat on the swaying boat under Yuan's introduction.

Xue arrived at the so-called Akatsuki base, as the door behind her slammed shut.

"Ban, who is this?"

A very mechanical voice rang out, and a man slowly walked out.

In the dim light, the man had short orange hair. His handsome features were adorned with strange black ornaments, at least in Xue's eyes. He wore a black high-collared robe embroidered with red auspicious clouds, and a Rain Village headband with a single line across his forehead.

So this is the leader in Xiaoming's name. Lin Xue turned the ring on her thumb.

“Uchiha, Yuki,” she said.

“Uchiha Yuki. Madara, I remember you said she died a long time ago.” The orange-haired man, whom Tobi called Pain, spoke expressionlessly, looking at Obito.

“No,” Obito said. “She will be a valuable asset to us, whether it’s earning bounties or capturing Jinchuriki of the Tailed Beasts.”

The man with short orange hair paused for a moment, clearly confused by Ban's contradictory statements.

However, he quickly accepted it and reached out his hand to Lin Xue.

Just as Lin Xue was about to place her hand in his palm, Obito reached out and took her hand.

"She doesn't need to know the details of the plan; she only needs to obey the orders given to her."
