Chapter 37
Does Yuki still like Minato-sensei?
Inside the Hatake residence, on the tatami mats lay a messy mattress and two young bodies entwined in passionate embrace.
Kakashi wrapped his arms around Yuki's slender waist from behind, his thin lips close to her flushed earlobe as he spoke.
Xue's voice was a little hoarse and slightly breathless, her mind a little foggy: "Why...why do you ask that?"
Kakashi buried his face in the crook of her neck: "Sometimes, I feel that the way Minato-sensei and his wife look at you and the tone of their voices... is a little off."
The boy's body behind her was burning hot, and Xue had just recovered from the blankness in her mind caused by Kakashi.
She was a little tired and not used to such a high frequency of love.
The girl was dazed, her eyes almost closed, and her weak voice muffled, "I...I don't know either..."
After a long pause, Kakashi finally spoke the words that had been weighing on his mind.
“I will become stronger than Minato-sensei, so Yuki can just look at me.”
"Just like... Yuki looks at Obito, look at me, okay?"
"Until next year, after the teacher's wife's child is born."
Let's get married.
"How about it? We'll invite Master Minato and his wife, along with your clansmen, to our wedding."
"However, it's not impossible for me to marry into the Uchiha clan... if you'd like."
"Uchiha... Kakashi, doesn't that name sound a bit strange?"
Kakashi muttered to himself, wondering if he was being a little too anxious.
Even though our bodies are connected, our hearts feel incredibly distant.
After not receiving a response from Yuki for a long time, Kakashi got up and found that Yuki had already fallen asleep.
The girl's sleeping face, unusually, did not always have a sorrowful expression, but rather a hint of weariness.
He poked her soft cheek with his fingertip and made a few unhappy "uh" sounds.
"Seriously, Snow, you idiot?"
"No wonder she and Obito are siblings."
Inside the house, a fire was burning brightly in the closet, and outside the window, Konoha Village was covered in a blanket of white snow.
This winter has been a warm one for Kakashi, with everyone snuggling together.
-
Since Minato Namikaze took over, Konoha Village has been steadily developing in a positive direction.
Yuki received a mission from the retired Third Hokage, which also meant that she didn't have to clock in at the Hokage Building today.
The mission is to go to the village's welfare home and distribute pensions in the name of the fourth generation.
She also comforted the orphans who had been taken in by Konoha during the war, and Yuki thought of the child she had taken in.
Yakushi Kabuto.
"pocket?"
Yakushi Nonou looked surprised, clearly not expecting anyone to come looking for the child.
After Nonou briefly explained the situation, Yuki murmured, "Was she taken away by Root...?"
She was quite familiar with the Root organization. It was an organization under Danzo, dedicated to carrying out clandestine missions for Konoha, handling the dirty work that couldn't be seen in the light of day. Compared to the Anbu, Root was far more mysterious. After all, many of the Anbu's top fighters, even when wearing masks, could still be recognized by enemy ninjas in actual combat; Root ninjas, on the other hand, were basically born into the organization by abandoning their names and personalities, leaving others with almost no knowledge of them. Moreover, their leaders were different. The Anbu reported directly to the successive Hokage and occasionally cooperated with Jonin; Root, however, was an organization that obeyed only Danzo's orders.
After a simple ceremony to express their condolences, the mission was over, and Xue looked at the thriving scene in the village.
She couldn't help but sigh, "Peace is so good."
If Konoha Village hadn't openly or covertly suppressed the Uchiha clan.
The Uchiha clan did not harbor any unrealistic or subtly rebellious thoughts...
Xue shook her head; she could do it.
With her current strength and status, she is capable of maintaining the balance between the village and the Uchiha clan.
The arrival of midsummer brings with it heat and humidity.
The sky was a clear, pure blue, as if it had been washed clean.
The trees are abundant with leaves, and layers upon layers of trees surround the perimeter, creating a lush and verdant landscape.
A gentle breeze occasionally swept by, bringing a touch of coolness.
On this day of the Beginning of Summer, Uchiha Sasuke was born.
The cries of infants began to echo once again from the residence of the Uchiha clan patriarch.
The fan in the Japanese-style room oscillated and whirred loudly.
"Is his name Sasuke?" Yuki bent down slightly to look at the baby in Itachi's arms. She looked up at Fugaku and Mikoto, who were standing in the courtyard planting a sapling for Sasuke's birth, and asked, "Is he the same name as the Third Hokage's father?"
Perhaps in an attempt to ease the increasingly strained relationship between the Uchiha clan and the village, Danzo's targeting became more and more obvious.
Yuki could understand Fugaku's actions; Fugaku was a neutral peacekeeper.
"Yes, I hope this child will grow up to be a strong and great ninja," Mikoto replied with a loving smile.
Since Sasuke's birth, Itachi's attention seemed to be completely occupied by Sasuke. The occasional mention of his aunt, or her rather childish remarks, had become less frequent. Yuki reached out and took Sasuke from Itachi's arms. Realizing he was being held by someone else, Sasuke opened his eyes, saw it was Yuki, and then closed them again to sleep.
"Are we really expecting so much from such a young child?"
Mikoto paused for a moment, then lowered her head and began to reflect. Fugaku chuckled, looking at the girl in her light purple, high-necked, short-sleeved tribal robe, the right sleeve embroidered with the tribal emblem of a fan. She wore white shorts that revealed her slender, straight legs. Since they were indoors, she wasn't wearing shoes, and her ten toenails were neatly rounded.
As if realizing something, Mikoto stepped forward and stared at Yuki, teasingly saying, "Just because you're a powerful ninja doesn't mean my child can't be one too?"
Xue exclaimed, somewhat angrily, "What are you doing, Mikoto-nee? Are you deliberately misinterpreting me—"
“Mikoto is absolutely right. Is Yuki jealous of Itachi’s talent? Is she afraid that Sasuke and Itachi together will surpass you?” Fugaku chimed in.
Mikoto, hands on her hips, said, "Is that how it is?"
At this point, the tips of her snow fungus had already turned a light red.
She blushed: "I...I...How could that be? I'd be overjoyed if that were the case, Fugaku-nii!"
Fugaku put down his tools, bent down and used the flowing water in the courtyard to wash the mud off his hands. After wiping his hands clean, he and Mikoto started playing with the snow.
The man placed his large hand on Xue's head, and Xue looked at him with a resentful expression: "Don't mess up my hair!"
The woman leaned on the man's shoulder, smiling.
Itaru rarely saw his father and mother being so unserious. So this is how his father and mother interacted with his aunt when they were young?
Indeed... He didn't dislike this way of getting along. Itachi wrapped his arms around Yuki's slender waist from behind and looked up at her: "Then when will Auntie consider breaking up with Kakashi-senpai and marrying into our family?"
Fugaku and Mikoto couldn't help but laugh at Yuki's childlike remarks, wondering how she would respond.
Xue held Sasuke tightly in her arms, not daring to move too much, and put on a fake angry expression.
"They all love to make fun of me, how mean!"
The transplanted saplings in the courtyard swayed gently in the hot summer breeze.
-
"Has Mikoto's baby been born yet? Yuki."
Kushina had already moved out of the Hokage's residence and was living in the suburbs of Konoha by this time.
The fact that the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki is pregnant cannot be known to too many people.
Kakashi was in charge of protecting the Third Hokage during the early stages of his pregnancy, while in the later stages, it was the Third Hokage's wife, Biwako Sarutobi, who took care of him on a daily basis. She was an older woman who looked very much like the Third Hokage.
“Yes, Kushina-senpai.” Yuki put down some everyday supplies.
He nodded to Sarutobi Biwako as a greeting.
As soon as Sarutobi Biwako left the bedroom, Kushina rushed forward and hugged Uchiha Yuki with great impatience.
She nuzzled Xue's face, her voice tinged with grievance: "Xiao Xue hasn't come to see me in so long, I'm so sad."
Because of her pregnancy, Yuki could only let Kushina do whatever she wanted to her.
A blush crept onto the black-haired girl's face as Kushina kissed her cheek.
The red-haired woman said, "Xiaoxue is so good, she doesn't resist at all."
Xue lowered her head, feeling somewhat aggrieved, and clenched her fists.
"Kushina-senpai, please take it easy and take care of your health."
Kushina smiled brightly: "Is Yuki worried about me? It's alright, I'm the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki, this kind of reaction is nothing to me!"
At this point, Kushina's expression turned somewhat angry: "This level of anger is nothing to me. I've never been angry about you and Kakashi dating before."
Kushina kissed Yuki's lips and said, "It's all an act, isn't it? Pretending to be a couple, Yuki?"
"Was this a desperate measure taken to conceal the relationship between the three of us?"
"Xiaoxue, you're so kind, but isn't this a bit unfair to Kakashi?"
Xue was utterly exasperated by the couple's self-deceptive ideas.
She could only nod silently.
Minato Namikaze used the Flying Thunder God Technique to enter the bedroom, where he saw Uchiha Yuki held tightly in the arms of the pregnant Kushina, too afraid to move. The black-haired girl's uniform was disheveled, her pants teetering on the verge of falling down, and the red-haired woman's hand was hidden beneath her blouse. A large expanse of skin at her waist and the thin lines of her mermaid figure were exposed, her snow-white skin flushed a light red, and her beautiful face wore an expression of shame and indignation.
Very... tempting and delicious.
He pulled Yuki out of Kushina's arms, and Kushina frowned slightly.
Minato sat on a chair to the side, let Yuki sit on his lap, and tucked the stray hairs from the side of Yuki's face behind his back.
He gave Xue a bright smile: "I knew you were here with Kushina. I haven't seen you for days. I missed you so much."
Then came the soft, delicate kisses falling on Xue's face, then behind her ears, her collarbone, and the hollow of her neck.
"Xue, give me a kiss too." Kushina stood to the side, holding Xue's hand, interrupting the two's intimacy.
Minato smiled at Kushina: "Kushina, would you mind waiting over there for a moment?"
"I was here first, Minato," Kushina said, somewhat annoyed. "Don't you know about first come, first served?"
Uchiha Yuki was caught in the middle, torn between the two.
A knock sounded on the door; it was Jiraiya's voice: "Minato, Kushina, are you two home?"
The scene then became quite bizarre, with Jiraiya and Uchiha Yuki, who had straightened her clothes, sitting on one side of the dining table.
On the other side are Minato holding a book and Kushina busy in the kitchen.
"Teacher, what brings you here?"
Jiraiya scratched the white hair behind his head: "Oh, I just happened to be passing by and saw the door wasn't closed, so I came in!"
He glanced sideways and said, "But Xiaoxue is here too. What a coincidence!"
Minato smiled: "After all, Yuki is my bodyguard, so it's normal for her to be by my side at all times."
Jiraiya's eyes darted around, and he continued, "Hahaha, that makes sense!"
Uchiha Yuki: ......
"By the way, Minato! Have you thought of a name for the child?"
Minato closed the book in his hand and nodded.
"The inspiration came from my teacher's book. The protagonist of the story is very resilient, which reminds me a lot of my teacher. So, may I borrow the name of the protagonist in this novel?"
Jiraiya looked surprised and somewhat flustered: "Is this really okay?"
"That was a name I just came up with while eating ramen, wasn't it?"
"Is someone like me really okay?"
After being asked three questions in a row, Minato Namikaze chuckled and put his fist to his mouth, explaining, "That's not true."
"Naruto... Naruto, are you sure it's okay?" Jiraiya was a little stunned.
Just then, Kushina came out of the kitchen. She took Yuki's hand and placed it on her pregnant belly, smiling as she said, "Naruto, that's a wonderful name."
Xue felt the slight fetal movement coming from under her hand, nodded, and said.
"Naruto. It's a very good name."
