Chapter 308 Members of Self-Brainwashing

Chapter 308 Members of Self-Brainwashing

Merataya, who was secretly watching this scene, silently twitched the corners of her mouth slightly.

Would a qualified church member brainwash himself?

"Godfather, the members really treat you like a god..."

"But all I wanted to do was get rid of a traitor."

A figure suddenly appeared beside her, looking at the group of church members who seemed to be possessed, and said with a faint smile, "Isn't this normal?"

"It's like people who have been exiled to a snow-covered world and have been starving for a long time suddenly finding food and clothing, and then a house that is enough for them to survive. When they finally learn that these things were given to them by someone on purpose, they will be afraid."

"They coveted these things, fearing that the owners of these items would take back the supplies and houses they depended on for survival. So they brainwashed themselves, making themselves subconsciously feel that the owners of the supplies were connected to them."

“If the master needs their labor, he will give them supplies and houses unconditionally.”

"In an extreme world, no one can survive on their own."

"In the end, they are all just pathetic little creatures trying to keep themselves alive."

"The fact that they are so willing to brainwash themselves actually saves them a lot of trouble."

R smiled, unconcerned about the self-brainwashing of the church members. "Anyway, the probability of them betraying us is practically zero. As long as nothing major happens, we can ignore them."

Morataya raised an eyebrow slightly, a smile playing on her lips. "What an interesting bunch. Perhaps we can further modify Yuna. After all, this is our own territory, and I don't want it to be riddled with holes like the Distillery was, with spies and internal strife."

R tidied a strand of hair behind her ear, then turned and left. "Apart from Morofushi Kagemitsu, there's nothing else to worry about here. Take some time to visit other countries; what if it turns into an even bigger multinational organization?"

Morataya: ...

To be honest, this is more than enough.

They're at most dark gray; don't try to make yourselves look all black.

Strolling along the bustling streets of the United States, R, with her elegant demeanor reminiscent of 20th-century aristocrats, attracted the attention of many.

A beautiful blonde girl with blue eyes was holding an ice cream cone when she slipped on a puddle and fell right in front of R, almost splashing the ice cream onto his shoes.

R glanced down at her, then knelt down and helped the little girl, who was crying loudly in pain, up. He gently patted the dust off her body, his handsome face bearing a gentle smile, and his soft voice quickly stopped the little girl from crying.

Seeing the little girl sobbing, R gently snapped his fingers, and an identical ice cream appeared in his hand, which he then handed to her.

The little girl's eyes lit up. "Thank you, brother!"

"You're welcome. Remember to be careful when you walk." R smiled, patted her head, and then walked away.

R hailed a taxi and asked the driver to take him to a small town on the outskirts of town.

Upon arriving outside the town, the driver waited for him to get out of the car before driving away.

After R took a few steps, several cars behind him suddenly stopped, and several men carrying guns got out of the cars.

"May I ask if there's anything I can help you with?" R asked with a gentle smile.

The men exchanged glances, and the leader snorted, "Nothing much, just wanted to rob you. We've been watching you for a while!"
