Chapter 309 Why Shouldn't It Be You Going?
R was still smiling as he looked around at the people surrounding him. "Robbery? In that case, how about giving away all your assets?"
Upon hearing this, the leading man narrowed his eyes. "You'd be so kind?"
“Of course.” R crossed his arms, his smile never changing, his glasses gleaming slightly, making him look very refined.
"However, I need you to stay a little further away from me."
The leading man looked him over suspiciously.
"What's wrong? Now that you've surrounded me, do you think I can escape?" R remained motionless, and if it weren't for the opening and closing of his lips as he spoke, he would look like a mannequin.
The man in the lead paused for a moment, then frowned deeply. "So why do you insist that we stay away from you?"
R's lips curled up slightly, and he raised his hand to push up his glasses, a cold glint flashing in his azure eyes.
"Why? Of course, it's because I don't want your filthy blood to splatter on me."
"Take care of them."
As soon as he finished speaking, the leading man suddenly widened his eyes and let out a muffled groan, looking down in disbelief at the hand that was piercing through his chest from behind and clutching his heart.
*Pfft*
With a soft click, the owner of the hand withdrew it, his blood-red eyes sweeping aggressively over the others. After crushing the heart in his hand, he moved with incredible speed, as if teleporting, to remove and crush the hearts of all the robbers.
Shaking off the sticky blood from his hands, X frowned in disgust. He used magic to wash his hands several times before exhaling, "Even though I'm a vampire, it's really uncomfortable to have blood sticking to my body."
Blood was everywhere, but R, in the center, remained dressed in pristine white.
He glanced at X indifferently, then strode towards the nearby town. "Let's go."
The two entered the town together.
From the outside, the town looks normal, but once you enter, you'll find it's unusually quiet.
“He’s nearby. Go and drag him out.” R looked around and calmly ordered X.
X: ...
We're all the same person, why shouldn't it be you who goes?
The red and black hull behind him transformed into bat wings, lifting him into the air. Looking down from the sky, he clearly saw someone moving.
With a flap of his wings, he instantly approached the person, then grabbed the person by the back of their collar and flew up with them.
The person he lifted up looked like an eleven or twelve-year-old boy, but he was covered in blood, his eyes were unfocused and empty, and he was muttering something that no one could understand.
“Send the man to Asa.”
R's voice rang in X's ear.
Nodding, X teleported directly to an experimental base, then tossed the dirty little boy to Asa before instantly leaving.
Asa: ...
Looking at the boy who seemed to have an intellectual disability, Asa frowned. "Couldn't you have washed him clean before sending him over? Do you need to save your magic?"
After casting several cleansing spells on the boy, Asa breathed a sigh of relief and then had Benshan take him to the laboratory.
Benshan: How could a dignified cobra like me be reduced to working as a laborer?
Asa: Send the person over there.
Benshan: Okay!
01, who was staying next to the main body, shuddered as it watched the clones controlled by its host do what they were doing.
Holy crap, does the host really intend to do those things?
It stealthily turned its head to glance at Chizuru, who was chatting gently with Conan and the others, and fell into deep thought.
