Chapter 334 Why Did We Run?

Chapter 334 Why Did We Run?

"You..." Genta turned around, about to speak to them, but his face changed drastically as if he saw something terrifying. He took a step back and fell on his backside. "You...you...the people behind you!"

They were all stunned for a moment, then slowly turned their heads.

Then they saw a tall man dressed like a savage, with two dogs beside him baring their teeth at them.

The man and two dogs surrounded them.

The tall man was holding an axe that looked like it had been used for a long time; the blade was broken and the tip was covered in dirt.

His face was covered in mud, but his eyes stared down at them like those of a ferocious beast, fierce and cruel.

The man approached them with an axe and two vicious dogs. Conan quickly crawled through a hole in the wire mesh and then pulled over Machi Kawasaki, who was closest to him.

Mitsuhiko and Ayumi were so frightened that they also crawled to the other side.

As Ai Haibara passed by, the two dogs barked and rushed over.

"Run!"

Kawasaki Machi, who was being dragged along, was bewildered by the wind.

"Wait a minute, Conan, why are we running?"

"That person is suspicious!"

"oh……"

When Kawasaki Machi turned around, he saw the ferocious dog chasing them relentlessly. He was so frightened that he howled and ran faster than Conan, eventually even dragging Conan along with him.

"Woof!"

"Whoa! Why is it chasing us?! It's so scary!!"

The pink-haired boy led Conan on a wild run through the forest, unaware that they had separated from the others.

On the other side, Ai Haibara and Ayumi were also suddenly separated, but it was that man who was chasing after her.

During the run, her foot hit a protruding rock, and she lost her balance and fell to the ground.

With her hand resting on her scraped knee, Ai Haibara stared at the man getting closer and closer, and the axe he held in his hand. She shifted back slightly, her pupils trembling slightly.

Before the axe could swing, a figure suddenly darted out from the side, grabbed her, rolled her aside, and then stood up and ran.

The man behind him had a sinister look on his face, picked up his axe, and chased after them again.

Ai Haibara, being carried along, looked up at the blue-haired boy who had suddenly appeared, her eyes widening slightly. "What are you doing here?"

Behfinger took a deep breath and then finished speaking in one breath, "Because we hadn't seen you for a long time, we came out to look for you and followed that trail to the hole in the damaged wire mesh. We thought you had escaped, so we came to look for you."

He kept an eye on the man chasing after him while carefully dodging the thorny brambles.

After running for a while, Behfinger turned around but didn't see the man.

Hiding behind a huge rock, he sat on the ground with Ai Haibara in his arms and took a deep breath.

Glancing at Ai Haibara's knee, Behefinger took out a small ointment and gently applied it to her wound. Then, he took out a small knife and cut a strip of cloth from his cloak, using it as a bandage to wrap around her knee.

"Thank you..." Ai Haibara lowered her head and whispered her thanks.

Behrfinger smiled, his eyes narrowing. "You're welcome."

Tie the bandage into a bow. A slight movement came from behind the rock, followed by increasingly distinct footsteps.

Behrfinger peeked out.
