Chapter 335 What are you looking at? Haven't you ever seen someone who can fly?
Watching the man swinging an axe and chopping down the weeds in his way, Behefinger pulled his head back, shrank his neck, covered Ai Haibara's mouth with one hand, and made a shushing gesture with the other.
Ai Haibara nodded, but out of the corner of her eye she noticed a digital watch on the left hand of Behringer, who was covering her mouth.
Her pupils suddenly contracted.
I instantly recalled meeting Asti at the Nokron Hotel; he was wearing the same watch on his left wrist!
No... it should be, it should just be a coincidence.
Ai Haibara's mind suddenly went blank, her eyes widening in doubt and disbelief.
With a loud crash, an axe suddenly slammed into a nearby rock. Behefinger's shoulders jerked, and he grabbed Ai Haibara and ran, shouting in panic, "Ahhh! Run! Run!"
Ai Haibara: ...
Is this really the cold and ruthless Asti?
As she ran, Behffiner kept turning her head to look at the axe-wielding man, muttering, "Why are you chasing us?! We didn't do anything! Aren't you tired at all after running for so long?! But I'm so tired!! Please stop chasing me, please!!!"
The axe-wielding man's lips twitched. Annoyed by the words, he swung his axe and quickened his pace to chop at him.
Ai Haibara, who was being held against Behefinger with her back to him, couldn't see what was behind him. She seemed to hear a sound of flesh being torn apart, and the boy behind her gasped.
"What happened?" Ai Haibara had a bad feeling and turned her head to look at him, but Behefinger gently pinched her chin and turned her back to face him.
"It's okay, it's okay. Don't talk now, I'm a little tired from running."
Behrfinger, pale-faced and panting, continued running forward.
The two ran to the edge of the cliff and looked at the shaky wooden suspension bridge that hadn't been repaired in a long time. Behfinger turned his head to look at the axe-wielding man who had caught up, gritted his teeth, and stepped onto the suspension bridge.
Are you really... alright?
Ai Haibara frowned; she could already smell the blood.
"It's alright, it's alright."
Behrfinger hugged her tighter, then looked back at her.
For some reason, the axe-wielding man did not step onto the suspension bridge.
Instead, he raised his axe and chopped at the thick rope securing the suspension bridge planks.
"Oh no!" Ai Haibara's pupils contracted as she turned around to look.
They were still some distance from the opposite cliff edge, but the axe-wielding man had already set his sights on the rope on the other side.
"Ai-chan."
Bechfenger suddenly spoke, his voice somewhat weak.
"What?" Ai Haibara grabbed his sleeve, her ominous premonition growing stronger.
"You might fall and hurt a little, but bear with it."
Behringer chuckled, then adjusted his grip on Ai Haibara, and with a jerk of his arm, threw her across to the opposite bank.
At the same time, the suspension bridge collapsed off the cliff, taking Behffinger down with it into the abyss.
Ai Haibara, ignoring the pain from her wounds after hitting her waist on a rock, quickly ran to the edge of the cliff.
But Bechfinger is no longer visible.
Her eyes widened, her fingertips digging into the soil. "Behrfinger!!"
At this moment, Behringer, who had fallen off the cliff, floated leisurely in mid-air, half-lying down, gazing at a bird.
Bird: Holy crap, how can this person fly?!
Bei: What are you looking at? Haven't you ever seen someone who can fly before?!
