Chapter 550 was not written by the deceased.
"What was that sound just now..." Ayumi asked sleepily, rubbing her eyes.
Mitsuhiko yawned, looking equally dazed. "Was that a scream just now?"
They still looked like they hadn't woken up properly, while Conan had already gotten out of bed to check on them.
"Hey! Conan, wait for us!" Ayumi wiped her eyes and, seeing Conan's back, quickly got up to follow him.
As Conan opened the door and walked out of the corridor, Kawasaki Maru and Machi, who were in the room diagonally opposite them, also came out.
Of course, many residents also seemed to have been awakened by the scream.
Machi, who was perched on Kawasaki Maru's shoulder, yawned and waved at Conan. "Conan, did you guys hear that scream just now too?"

Kawasaki Maru stood at the door, closed the door behind her, walked to the door of the room from which the scream came, and pushed the door open.
Seeing this, Conan jogged after him.
Upon entering the house and turning on the lights, Conan's pupils contracted at the scene he witnessed.
This caused Ayumi and the hotel owner, who followed behind, to scream in alarm.
A woman in pajamas was hanging upside down with her eyes wide open and mouth agape, blood flowing from her eyes, mouth and nose. Her back was pressed against the wall opposite the door.
Even without going up to check, you could see the bruises and marks on her neck from the strangulation.
After scanning the crime scene, Kawasaki Maru took out her phone and dialed the police. Then she squatted down and gently placed Machi aside, patted his head and said, "Stay here and be safe." She then walked up to the deceased, took out gloves from her pocket, put them on, and checked whether she still had any signs of life.
“She’s dead.” He said quickly and calmly. “She died within fifteen minutes. On the surface, it appears to be a case of mechanical suffocation, but she was forced to take poison before her death, which caused her to bleed from all seven orifices.”
Her ears were covered by her hair, so it was impossible to tell from looking that they were also bleeding.
He bent down and picked up a bag at the feet of the deceased, and found some items inside that could identify the deceased.
"The deceased was named Fujita Katsura, 27 years old, and was an obstetrician and gynecologist at Beika General Hospital."
His actions left Conan stunned.
Kawasaki Maru put the things she was holding back, took out her phone and took a picture of the deceased from various angles, before finally taking her down and laying her flat on the ground.
He examined the body's facial features and concluded that "the deceased died from arsenic poisoning."
"What is that...?" Conan, realizing what was happening, walked behind Kawasaki Maru and looked at the crooked, illegible characters on the wall that had been hidden by the corpse.
Kawasaki Maru looked up and then examined the deceased's hand. "It wasn't written by the deceased. It was probably used by the murderer to mislead the police. Besides, judging from the crime scene, there weren't any signs of a major struggle."
