Chapter 303 Brief

As the first rays of sunlight gradually spread across the land, a brief tranquility and hope permeated the village. However, everyone knew that unknown threats and challenges lurked behind this peace.

In the heart of the village, villagers busily cleared the battlefield, aided the wounded, and reinforced their defenses in preparation for a potential new attack. An elderly woman named Mary was bandaging the wounds of a young, injured soldier, her voice filled with warmth: "Don't be afraid, child. You did a great job. We will all remember your courage."

The young soldier gave a tired but determined smile: "Thank you, Grandma Mary. As long as I can still stand, I will continue to fight!"

Not far away, Commander Lester was discussing follow-up plans with several elite knights. "We must find the source of the enemy; we can't let innocent villagers be threatened any longer." Just as he finished speaking, a scout rushed over, reporting a new discovery.

"Commander, we've spotted a large enemy ambush outside the village!" the scout said breathlessly. "It seems they're ready to launch their next offensive."

“Very good, this news is very important.” Rice nodded. “Immediately strengthen defenses, especially the mountainous area behind the village.”

Meanwhile, in a secluded corner of the village, the mysterious man and his assistant continued to observe everything from the shadows. A sly smile flashed across his face: "These Radiant Knights are indeed quite skilled, but this is just the beginning..."

The assistant seemed hesitant and asked in a low voice, "Are we really going to do this? These people are so pitiful..."

The mysterious man glanced at him with a cold smile: "This is war, there is no mercy. We have only one goal, and those who stand in our way, no matter how noble, will pay the price."

Arya, accompanied by several soldiers, patrolled the village to prevent further attacks. Suddenly, a little girl emerged from the crowd, her eyes sparkling with admiration. "Sister, you are all so brave! I want to be like you."

Arya smiled and said, "Then you need to work even harder and learn to protect yourself and the people around you. Believe in yourself, you will definitely become outstanding."

As they were talking, they suddenly heard low, heavy footsteps coming from afar. "What's going on?" a passerby exclaimed.

Another passerby immediately responded, "It sounds like some giant beast is approaching! Everyone, hide!"

Arya swiftly drew her sword: "Everyone, listen to my command! Retreat to the vicinity of the command post and prepare for battle! Do not give the enemy any chance."

Amidst this tense atmosphere, a gigantic monster slowly appeared at the edge of the village, its massive body radiating a sinister and terrifying aura. The onlookers screamed in terror, panic spreading everywhere.

But at that very moment, Lester led a squad of elite Radiant Knights in a swift attack. "The Goddess of Light has granted us strength and courage! Follow me, everyone! We cannot let this thing get even a step closer to the village!"

All the soldiers were instantly ignited with fighting spirit, shouting in response: "We swear to defend our homeland to the death!" They bravely stepped forward, preparing for the final showdown.

Meanwhile, the mysterious man remained atop the high ground, his cold gaze piercing through the crowd as he surveyed the impending battle. A slight smile played on his lips: "This is merely the prelude... the real storm is far from over."

As the battlefield raged with smoke and fierce fighting, an old man in the village clenched his fist and silently prayed, "Please let us get through this ordeal... for a better life tomorrow..."

As the Radiant Knights bravely charged towards the behemoth, the entire village was plunged into a tense and fierce atmosphere. Commander Lester brandished his longsword, leading his warriors in battle against the monster, while in the distance, the mysterious man continued to watch the fight with indifference.

"That's terrifying!" A villager named Anna gripped her companion's hand tightly. "Does that monster really exist? Is this a dream?"

Her companion nodded: "I saw it, it's true! Those knights are fighting it to the death."

By this time, Arya had already organized some villagers who were able to fight, instructing them to retreat to the vicinity of the command post. "Listen up, everyone! Protecting our home is our duty. Be brave, support each other, and we can get through this!" Arya's words inspired everyone, even the young people who had never participated in war before were inspired with courage.

Meanwhile, on a hill in the village, several old men sat around a campfire, talking in hushed tones. “Have you heard?” one of the white-bearded old men said. “That young man named Lester is truly remarkable. He not only saved many innocent lives, but also led everyone in fighting the monsters… Alas, it’s a pity that my son couldn’t come back.”

Another man, his face weathered with age, patted the old man's hand: "Don't worry, old friend, as long as there are people like Lester, our village will be alright." His tone was sad, but still full of hope.

In the heart of the battlefield, the sounds of light and darkness clashing and clashing echoed incessantly. A young soldier, with all his might, struck the giant beast's leg, only to be violently thrown to the ground by its furious thud. At this critical moment, Lester rushed forward and pulled the wounded soldier to relative safety. "Hold on, lad! You are a brave and good soldier!"

Just as the situation reached a stalemate, a strange and beautiful melody suddenly drifted from afar. The notes seemed to possess a magical power, piercing through the air and causing everyone to involuntarily stop what they were doing to listen. Even the terrifying behemoth seemed to be momentarily stunned…

The mysterious man frowned slightly. "What is this? How can such a pure sound appear here?" His assistant also looked surprised: "Could it be... that a master has intervened to save us?"

The mystery was quickly revealed: a little girl stood at the edge of the village, holding a wooden harp—the very same little girl who had idolized Arya. Her eyes were closed, absorbed in the music, and a soft glow emanated from her, bringing an unprecedented sense of peace and tranquility to everyone present. "My sister once told me to be brave and learn to protect others…this is the best thing I can do…"

The passersby who witnessed this scene were all deeply moved. One woman choked up and said, "What a pure and beautiful power... It's truly incredible." Another added, "I never imagined that such a small body could contain such a strong will... She is the key to our victory!"

Just as everyone was preparing to rejoin the battle, a thick fog suddenly filled the air. Through the mist, the mysterious man's chilling laughter could be faintly heard: "Very good... the game has only just begun..."

"Oh no, the enemy's main force is coming!" a scout shouted in alarm. "Everyone, get ready!" Commander Lester quickly gave the order. The villagers gripped their weapons again, preparing to meet the new challenge that was about to begin.

"No matter what happens, please stay calm," Arya reminded everyone gently but firmly. She turned to the little girl, "Little girl, you did very well, but it's dangerous here now..." The girl shook her head, her eyes shining with determination, "There's still so much I can do! I'll continue to cheer everyone up with my music!"

As the fog thickened, an eerie silence descended, broken only by the sound of their own heartbeats and the occasional rustle of wind. What awaited them ahead? No one knew…
