Chapter 304 Offensive

On the other side of the village, the villagers prepared for the impending new offensive. The tense atmosphere seemed to freeze, everyone holding their breath. At that moment, an old blacksmith named Karl slowly stepped out from the crowd, a brand-new longsword in his hand, his eyes filled with determination. "I was a brave warrior in my youth," he said to his companion. "Now it's our turn, the old folks, to step up. We must not let that monster set foot in our village!"

“The old blacksmith is right!” another young man responded, his voice filled with excitement and tension. “Let’s go together too! We can’t let Commander Lester and the others fight alone!” Hearing this, the people who were originally hesitant gradually mustered their courage and joined the ranks preparing for battle.

Meanwhile, the situation on the battlefield grew even more critical. The behemoth roared deafeningly and attempted to smash the Knights of Light with its massive arms. Each strike unleashed a deafening boom. At this crucial moment, an unexpected event changed the entire course of events—the little girl playing the harp began to move.

"I need to get closer... so I can better cheer everyone on!" she silently told herself, carefully avoiding potentially dangerous areas on the battlefield as she moved forward. The power of the music gradually seeped into the hearts of each soldier, not only bringing them peace of mind but also igniting an unprecedented courage and determination within them. "Listen to this song... it's so beautiful, it feels like it heals me completely," a wounded soldier exclaimed, lying on the ground, a glimmer of hope in his eyes.

Just as the little girl approached the center of the battlefield, a small squad of monsters suddenly emerged from the mist, attempting to bypass the main battlefront and attack the rear command post directly. But just as they were about to achieve their goal, a loud whooshing sound rang out. "Hey! Don't even think about it!" It turned out that Arya had detected the plot and quickly arrived to intercept them. "Everyone, retreat to safety and regroup. I'll handle this." With that, she faced the suddenly appearing enemy alone.

Witnessing such a heroic scene, all the civilians present were greatly encouraged. Especially the young villager who had fought so bravely; he even grabbed a makeshift wooden stick and rushed forward to help. "Go, Arya! I'll help you deal with these fodder!"

However, at that moment, the mysterious man reappeared, this time making no attempt to conceal himself. "I never expected things to develop this way..." Looking at the group of people in the distance, moved by the little girl's performance and fighting bravely, his tone was noticeably colder than before.

The assistant asked somewhat nervously, "What should we do now?"

The mysterious man took a deep breath, his gaze becoming unusually sharp. "Change the plan. Since a head-on confrontation isn't so easy to win... let's try to break the deadlock from another angle."

As soon as these words were spoken, the sky suddenly became overcast, and a blinding beam of light pierced the heavens, shooting straight to the ground—what was that? What wicked scheme did the mysterious man have in mind? And under these circumstances, how will the Knights of Light and the villagers cope with the even more severe trials that lie ahead? All the answers remain unknown...

The mysterious man's gaze seemed to pierce through the sudden dark cloud, pointing directly to the center of the battlefield. He smiled coldly. "Prepare to execute Plan B." As soon as he finished speaking, the air seemed to be distorted by some unseen force, and an ominous atmosphere quietly descended.

On the other side, old blacksmith Karl, holding his brand-new longsword, moved with a resolute stride that reassured the villagers around him. Just as everyone's attention was focused on the front lines, a strange energy fluctuation quietly spread from the edge of the village. "What's going on? The atmosphere around us suddenly feels so much colder!" An old villager standing guard at the village entrance muttered under his breath, his hands gripping his weapon tightly.

Meanwhile, beside the little girl fighting fiercely on the battlefield, the harp emitted an even more melodious sound. "Hold on! We will win!" She closed her eyes, focusing all her energy on each note, as if conveying the most sincere encouragement and support to everyone. Suddenly, a strong wind swept in from all directions, whipping up dust. The little girl abruptly opened her eyes and looked up at the sky, only to see a dazzling yet eerily strange pillar of light shoot into the heavens, then plummet back down.

"Watch out, everyone! Something's coming—" Arya shouted a warning as she quickly drew her long-held but unused sword, her body tense and ready to fire at any moment.

The light didn't cause any immediate noticeable changes after it landed, which relieved everyone. "Was it a false alarm?" someone wondered. "Oh no! The ground is cracking!" Almost instantly, the young man who had spoken earlier was horrified to find that the soil beneath his feet was being torn apart by an invisible force, and cracks were gradually forming and widening.

Black mist began to billow from the cracks, quickly coalescing into various shapes, each exuding a chilling aura. "What the hell are those things?" A few piercing screams rang out from the onlookers. "Run! It's terrifying!" Fear spread rapidly, but Karl stepped forward and shouted, "Calm down! Don't panic, everyone. This is just a new trick of the monsters. As long as we unite, there's no difficulty we can't overcome!"

Just then, the mysterious man's cold and provocative laughter echoed again from afar. "Hmph, it seems you've really run into some trouble this time... but the game has only just begun."

Just as everyone was filled with anxiety about this unknown and powerful enemy, a clear and powerful voice pierced the tense and oppressive air. "No matter how strong the enemy is, we will never back down! Light and courage will always be with us!" It was Commander Lester who had arrived with the most elite squad of the Radiant Knights. They were all dashing and heroic, their eyes filled with unwavering confidence in victory.

Faced with this scene, the little girl stopped playing, turned around, and gave her companions a bright smile. "Believe in yourselves, and believe in each other even more! We can create our own miracles." She spoke softly, her voice clear yet reaching everyone's ears, giving them an invaluable sense of trust.

As the little girl finished speaking, those around her cast admiring glances, and even those who had previously seemed terrified began to regain their confidence. At that moment, ordinary villagers and valiant soldiers alike seemed to be united by an unseen force, facing the impending challenge together. "Go for it, to protect this bright future!" Karl shouted, raising his blade high, giving the order to charge.

The mysterious man chuckled coldly, "Very good...this is even more interesting." He narrowed his eyes, gazing into the distance, while secretly gathering power in his hands... How will this contest unfold? Will either side be able to escape their predicament? All questions remain unanswered...
