Chapter 15 Starlight

"By the way, have you noticed how much the children in the village have changed since the smart classroom was launched?" An old man sitting under a big tree at the village entrance said to his chess-playing friend beside him, his fingers tapping lightly on the chessboard, as if weighing the weight of each move.

“Yeah, before, they would just run around the mountains after school, but now they’re all holding books and discussing new things we’ve never even heard of.” Another person chimed in, their gaze occasionally sweeping over the brightly lit school building in the distance, their eyes revealing a hint of emotion and pride.

At this moment, inside the teaching building, a young student teacher was discussing the latest teaching feedback with Su Mo: "Principal Su, the students' acceptance of this interactive learning method has exceeded our expectations, especially the VR experience in history class. They have even spontaneously organized research groups to explore ancient warfare strategies in depth."

A relieved smile appeared on Su Mo's lips: "This is exactly what we hope for. Learning is no longer about passively receiving information, but about actively exploring it. What we need to do is provide a stage so that they can become the directors of their own knowledge journey."

As soon as he finished speaking, two students came running from the other end of the corridor, their cheeks flushed and their eyes sparkling with barely suppressed excitement.

"Principal Su, Teacher Mo, we've made a new discovery!" the taller boy exclaimed. "While researching ancient architecture, we discovered an environmentally friendly material that can be used in the future expansion of our school!"

Mo Qingxue bent down, her eyes full of encouragement: "That sounds very interesting, tell me more about it."

The two children eagerly shared their discovery, drawing in teachers and students who stopped in their tracks, captivated by their pure thirst for knowledge and innovative spirit, and exclaiming in admiration from time to time.

Night fell again, but the school's laboratories remained brightly lit. A professor was discussing a project with students via video link; their topic was designing a device to help local agriculture become more intelligent. The discussion was lively, occasionally punctuated by laughter that drifted through the windows, blending harmoniously with the chirping of insects in the summer night.

"It's unbelievable how well these children understand and apply technology; it even makes this old professor feel ashamed." The professor on the other end of the video was deeply moved, but his eyes revealed undisguised joy and pride.

Meanwhile, at the entrance of a small shop in the village, several tourists were listening with great interest as the shopkeeper recounted the tremendous changes in education in the village.

"It's unbelievable that such a remote mountain village could harbor such an educational miracle. It seems we should come here more often to learn from their experience," one tourist said, nodding in agreement. The others echoed his sentiments.

As the night deepened, Su Mo, Mo Qingxue, and Li Haoran met in the school's rooftop garden, gazing up at the starry sky.

"Haoran, what aspects do you think we can improve on?" Su Mo's gaze seemed to pierce through the darkness, looking towards a distant and bright future.

Li Haoran pondered for a moment: "I believe that the next step should be to strengthen cooperation with international educational institutions so that students have the opportunity to experience diverse cultures and a wider world. Only by continuously broadening our horizons can we cultivate truly internationally competitive talents."

Mo Qingxue leaned gently against the railing, her voice soft yet firm: "Moreover, we cannot forget those children who are unable to come to school for various reasons. Perhaps we can use existing technology and resources to create a special learning pathway for them."

The three remained silent for a while, each envisioning a grander future. Finally, Su Mo broke the silence: "Alright, let's get to work. Starting tomorrow, we'll split up and explore ways to bring these ideas to fruition."

Under the starlight, the three people's shadows were stretched long. Their conversation, though simple, contained a determination and power strong enough to shake mountains and rivers.

"Goodnight, star-studded night. Tomorrow will be another day full of endless possibilities," Su Mo said softly, her tone filled with boundless anticipation for the future.

The next morning, as the sun peeked over the horizon, the air in the village was filled with the fresh scent of earth and leaves. Under the big tree at the village entrance, several early risers gathered as usual, drinking tea and chatting about the latest happenings in the village.

"Have you heard? Last night on the school rooftop, what big plan were those three young leaders plotting again?" An old man put down his teacup, his eyes gleaming with curiosity.

"Oh? Those three are the treasures of our village. If they make a move, it's never good." The old friend next to him laughed and agreed, his tone tinged with pride.

“Great news! Absolutely great news! My grandson said they want to take the village school to the world stage, so that the children in our small town can learn the best knowledge just like children in other countries.” Another old man waved his fan excitedly, his words filled with anticipation for the future.

The school was already bustling with activity. Su Mo, Mo Qingxue, and Li Haoran were all busy at their own pace, their figures moving between classrooms, laboratories, and offices, each step firm and powerful.

"Principal Su, these are the links to the latest batch of international educational resources. I've compiled them and they'll be sent to the students soon." A young teacher quickly walked up to Su Mo, handed him a document, and looked at him with admiration.

Su Mo took the materials, smiled and nodded: "Well done. Let the students get in touch as soon as possible. Once their horizons are broadened, their minds will also become more open."

Meanwhile, in the science lab on the other side, Mo Qingxue was gathered around a computer with a group of children. On the screen were exquisite design drawings. "Look," she said, "this is a mobile learning pod we designed for children who can't come to school from afar. With it, the transmission of knowledge will no longer be limited by geography." Her introduction drew gasps of amazement from the children.

"Teacher, this is so cool! I want to learn how to make inventions like this in the future!" a child exclaimed excitedly. The surrounding classmates nodded, their eyes sparkling with longing.

Li Haoran, meanwhile, was in a conference room, exchanging ideas with education experts from around the world via video conference. "Our goal is to build a global platform for sharing educational resources, so that children in every corner of the world can enjoy quality educational resources," he said, his words earning rounds of applause from the other side of the screen.

The afternoon sun filtered through the treetops, dappling the paths of the schoolyard. A passing villager stopped to look at the scene and couldn't help but sigh, "The children in our village are so lucky. Who would have thought that one day, so many knowledgeable children would emerge from this remote mountain village?"

As the sun sets, villagers gather in twos and threes in the village square. Not far away, the school lights still shine brightly, illuminating the night sky like stars fallen to earth.

"I heard the school has something new going on today. Our village's reputation is probably going to grow even stronger," a middle-aged woman holding her grandson said with a smile.

“That’s right. Even people outside are saying that this place is a miracle village of education. In the future, our children will have a much brighter future,” the uncle next to him chimed in, his tone full of anticipation for the future.

As night deepened, the school lights gradually thinned, but within that tranquility, an unstoppable force was brewing. Su Mo, Mo Qingxue, and Li Haoran met again on campus. They didn't speak, only exchanged smiles; that tacit understanding and trust was more profound than any words.

"Tomorrow will be a new beginning," Su Mo said softly, gazing into the distance where their shared dreams and promises lay.

"Yes, tomorrow. We will continue to move forward until we turn every impossibility into a possibility." Li Haoran's words were full of determination.
