Chapter 14 Intelligent Teaching

"Hey, have you heard? That newly built school is supposedly going to have some kind of smart classroom, where kids can talk directly with professors from big cities!" In front of the village store, a few young people sat together, smoke rings slowly rising in the dim light, discussing the hottest topic of the moment.

"Smart classroom? What's that?" one of them asked, puzzled.

"It uses internet technology to allow our children to connect directly to big cities and listen to lectures by famous teachers there. It's different from live broadcasts on TV, and there's even interaction!" another young man explained, his excitement barely concealed.

"Tsk tsk, this is truly a golden phoenix that has flown out of our mountain valley," a middle-aged man listening nearby exclaimed, rubbing his pipe between his fingers, his eyes full of anticipation for the future.

As we were talking, a series of hurried footsteps approached. It was Aunt Wang rushing over. "Have you heard? The boss of a big company in the city said he's going to donate a huge sum of money to our school and set up scholarships to encourage the children to study hard!"

"What?!" the crowd exclaimed. The smoke rings froze in the air for a moment before dissipating, spreading as quickly as news had spread throughout the village.

Night had fallen, but Su Mo's room was brightly lit as he and Mo Qingxue carefully planned their next steps. "With the funding in place, we can speed things up and bring in more educational resources. But this isn't just about upgrading the hardware; the software—building a strong teaching team and innovating teaching methods—is equally important," Su Mo mused.

Mo Qingxue nodded in agreement: "I agree. We can consider cooperating with some well-known universities to attract outstanding graduates to intern here, or even teach here long-term. At the same time, we can organize existing teachers to go to cities for exchanges and learning, and bring back new teaching concepts."

The discussion was in full swing when a child's scream suddenly rang out from outside the window, followed by an excited shout: "Look, a drone! A drone is delivering books!"

The two smiled at each other. Su Mo opened the window and saw several drones loaded with books and learning materials slowly descending into the night sky. Children surrounded the drones, their eyes full of curiosity and joy.

"It seems that A-Qiang's remote delivery plan has already begun," Mo Qingxue said with a light laugh.

"Yes, this not only makes it easier for children to acquire knowledge, but it is also a symbol, telling us that nothing is impossible." Su Mo looked at the night sky, which appeared even more vivid because of the drone lights, and felt a warm current flowing in his heart.

A few days later, the school construction site became bustling with activity, as robots worked in an orderly fashion, sparking a new round of heated discussions among the villagers.

"Look, those lumps of iron can actually build walls, faster and more accurately than manual labor!" an old craftsman exclaimed, tapping the ground lightly with his cane as if he were calculating something.

“The future is here, and we have to keep up with the times,” the young craftsman said with a smile, his eyes sparkling with curiosity and eagerness for technology.

As the sun set, the day's work drew to a close. Su Mo and her team stood in front of the soon-to-be-completed teaching building, gazing at its golden silhouette in the sunset, their hearts filled with pride.

"I never expected everything to progress so quickly," Li Haoran remarked, holding a roll of blueprints in his hand—a design that he and his team had repeatedly revised.

“Yes, sometimes, change only needs a trigger, and then everything will fall into place.” Su Mo looked back on the hard work and sweat of the past few months, feeling a mix of emotions.

"Haoran, do you remember what you said that day? About dreams, about possibilities." Mo Qingxue gently put her hand on Li Haoran's shoulder.

“Of course I remember. I said that every seemingly unattainable dream actually begins with the land beneath our feet. The key is whether we are willing to take that step.” Li Haoran’s eyes were firm as he looked at the soon-to-be-completed campus in the distance.

"And now, we've not just taken that first step, we're running," Su Mo said with a smile, her tone full of confidence in the future.

The three men smiled at each other, and the surrounding villagers and workers gathered around, their eyes filled with both admiration and pride in their participation.

“Teacher Su, you did it, you really changed everything here.” A middle-aged woman’s voice rang out, her eyes slightly red and her voice trembling.

Su Mo stepped forward and patted her on the shoulder: "No, it's all of us together. Everyone who supports us is part of this change."

Night fell again, and the starlight twinkled in the sky, reflecting in everyone's eyes. The light seemed brighter than ever before, illuminating the hope and future in their hearts.

"We'll continue tomorrow."

The following morning, as dawn broke, the village was filled with an unprecedented vitality. The villagers were already buzzing with excitement, for today was the official launch day of the smart classroom.

"I've heard about that 'smart classroom,' where children can attend classes like watching a movie and even have direct conversations with professors from big cities. Is that true?" In the teahouse, several elderly people discussed the topic with a mixture of belief and skepticism, their eyes full of curiosity.

"Is it really that amazing? My grandson was so excited last night that he couldn't sleep. He said he had to be the first one to get to school today!" An old lady next to him chimed in with a smile, her pride evident in her words.

As the school bell rang, the crowd gathered at the school gate automatically parted to make way. Su Mo, Mo Qingxue, and Li Haoran stood at the school gate, welcoming each student who stepped into this new world. The children's faces were filled with excitement and nervousness; their little hands gripped their schoolbag straps tightly, and their eyes sparkled with longing for the unknown world.

"Principal Su, look over there! Even people from neighboring villages have come to see what's going on!" A young teacher pointed to a group of strangers walking towards the school in the distance. They were simply dressed, but their steps were hurried.

"Welcome everyone, this is a moment for all of us." Su Mo responded with a smile. He understood that this moment was not just about the school's transformation, but also about the entire village embracing the future.

In the classroom, as the first lesson began, the children faced a huge electronic screen, on which a smiling old professor was clearly displayed, greeting them warmly.

"Hello everyone! I am Professor Li from the Science and Technology City. Starting today, I will explore the mysteries of mathematics with you..." The professor's voice was transmitted to every corner through the high-definition sound system. The children were stunned for a few seconds, and then burst into enthusiastic applause. Their excitement almost lifted the roof off.

"Mom, Mom, did you hear that? I really talked to a professor from the big city!" A little boy rushed out of the classroom and shouted excitedly to his mother, who was standing on tiptoe outside the school gate. His eyes were as bright as if they were filled with stars.

"Oh my goodness, this is truly...unbelievable!" The mother covered her mouth, tears welling up in her eyes—tears of happiness.

In the afternoon, a sudden rain shower shrouded the village in a hazy beauty. Inside the library, several children sat around a large table, experiencing a reenactment of a historical battle through virtual reality glasses. Their expressions shifted with the changing battlefield, sometimes tense, sometimes amazed.

"Look! It's the Battle of Red Cliffs! How can those ships catch fire on their own on the water?" a child exclaimed, drawing the attention of those around him, their eyes filled with astonishment and awe.

"This is the power of technology, allowing us to experience history firsthand." Mo Qingxue walked in, gently patted their shoulders, her eyes also shining with boundless imagination for the future.

As dusk fell and the last rays of sunlight disappeared below the horizon, Su Mo, Mo Qingxue, and Li Haoran stood on the school's rooftop, overlooking the entire village, their hearts filled with complex emotions.

"This day is just the beginning." Su Mo's voice was deep and firm. "We not only want the light of knowledge to illuminate this place, but also to shine that light into the hearts of more people."

“That’s right, education should have no boundaries.” Li Haoran gazed into the distance, his eyes sparkling with a new vision. “Perhaps one day, our students will also become people who change the world.”

"And the starting point of all this is right now, right here." Mo Qingxue smiled, her words like a warm ray of light illuminating the hearts of her companions.

“It’s time,” Su Mo took a deep breath and turned to the other two. “Let’s move forward and explore more possibilities.”
