Chapter 93 Forgotten

The young traveler responded to her words, their eyes filled with mutual trust and determination. The surrounding crowd erupted in enthusiastic applause and cheers, their eyes shining with confidence in the future.

"I can't believe it! They actually conquered the ancient guardians of the Frozen Lands!" A young man in the crowd said to his friend with a shocked expression, his voice filled with deep admiration. "I bet their story will soon become a ballad, sung in every village and every city."

“That’s right, and it’s not just songs,” a friend chimed in, his eyes sparkling with longing. “Their courage and determination will inspire more people to stand up, face difficulties, and even challenge those obstacles that were once considered insurmountable.”

As night fell, a bonfire roared in the center of the village. The young traveler and Leia became the focus of the evening. The villagers sat in a circle, listening to their stories. The leaping flames reflected in everyone's eyes, sparkling with hope and dreams.

"Where are you planning to go next?" A childish voice pierced through the crowd. It was the little boy who had been listening to the story by the fire earlier. His eyes were still wide open, full of curiosity and anticipation.

The young traveler smiled, looked down at the little boy, and said in a gentle yet powerful tone: "In the endless sea to the east, legend has it that there is a forgotten island where a fragment of light awaits us. That is our next target."

The little boy's eyes lit up, as if stars had fallen into them. The surrounding villagers also began to talk, each silently wishing the extraordinary couple well.

Night deepened, and the young traveler and Leia walked side by side under the stars, the moonlight draping their path in a silvery veil. Leia suddenly stopped, gazing intently into the distance: "Every victory means an even greater challenge is yet to come. Are you afraid?"

The young traveler turned around, his smile as warm as ever: "With you by my side, I have no fear, no matter what storms lie ahead. Moreover, our journey is not just about finding the fragments of light, but also about spreading hope and courage to every corner of the world."

Leia nodded gently, gripping his hand even tighter. They continued on their way, followed by those whose hearts had been inspired and embodied by their story. In their eyes, the young traveler and Leia were not merely messengers of light, but symbols of dreams and hope.

“You know what?” Leia said softly, breaking the silence of the night, “Sometimes, I feel like we’re not just looking for fragments, but more like we’re looking for the lost soul of this world, piecing it together bit by bit.”

The young traveler stopped, turned around, and said earnestly to her, "Then let us be the key that unlocks every door to light and hope. As long as we join hands, no matter how far away, we will reach our destination."

The following morning, sunlight filtered through the sparse clouds, bathing the young travelers and Leia before their journey, as if it were nature's gentlest blessing. Villagers spontaneously gathered at the village entrance, holding flowers and food, their eyes filled with reluctance and anticipation, to bid farewell to the two heroes.

"You must come back!" The little boy, his face full of adoration, squeezed to the front, clutching a wooden plaque carved with a small boat tightly in his hand, tears welling in his eyes. "I will wait for you here and tell your story to everyone!"

The young traveler knelt down, gently patted the little boy's head, and said with a smile, "We will come back with more stories. You must grow up quickly and become a brave explorer."

As the two figures disappeared into the distance, an old man in the village waved his withered arm, his voice weak but firm: "Look at them, they are the light in our hearts!"

During their journey, the young travelers and Leia encountered a sudden sandstorm, plunging the world into chaos and making it impossible to discern directions. Just when all seemed lost, a massive desert eagle descended from the sky and landed steadily on Leia's outstretched arm. It was a divine beast with an eye of wisdom, and its arrival, like a miracle, guided them through the storm.

The news spread quickly, and when the two arrived at a bustling town, the townspeople reacted even more enthusiastically.

"Look, it's them! The warriors who conquered the icy lands and were guided by divine beasts during the sandstorm!" Merchants put down their work, and pedestrians stopped in their tracks, casting awe-inspiring glances at them.

An old man in tattered clothes began to sing softly in the crowd: "The brave are fearless, the traveler is boundless, light and hope are lit by them..." The song seemed to have magic power, and quickly spread among the crowd, turning into a hymn that resounded through the sky.

In a bustling tavern, the young traveler and Leia enjoyed a rare moment of rest, with the conversations of the people around them occasionally drifting into their ears.

“You know what? I have a relative who lives in a village near the Frozen Lands. He says that the ice and snow there started to melt after they left, and everything is coming back to life, as if an ancient curse has been lifted!” a burly traveler said to his companion, his eyes filled with amazement.

"It seems they not only retrieved the fragments of light, but also brought about a real change to the world," his companion remarked, downing his drink in one gulp, as if paying tribute to that extraordinary courage and strength.

Night fell again, and the young traveler gazed up at the starry night sky from the terrace outside the tavern. Leia quietly walked up to him.

“Every step has been so difficult, but look at the path we’ve walked, how many people we’ve influenced.” Leia’s voice was gentle yet firm. “This is not just a journey, it’s more like a spiritual pilgrimage.”

The young traveler chuckled and took Leia's hand: "That's right, every challenge is a test of our will and a healing experience for the world. But do you know what I look forward to most?"

Leia turned her head, her eyes full of questions.

“It is the future.” The young traveler gazed into the distance, where the stars shone brightly. “No matter what lies ahead, as long as our hearts hold hope, the light will never be extinguished. And we will carry this light to the ends of the earth.”

Leia smiled, and the two figures leaned against each other under the starlight, as if they had become the brightest twin stars in the night sky.

"So, what comes next are the unknown islands of the endless sea. Are we ready?" Leia's voice was exceptionally clear in the night breeze.

“Ready,” the young traveler replied, his eyes shining as brightly as the starry sky. “Because our story has only just begun.”

The tavern's noise gradually faded, and the two men remained silent for a moment in the night, seemingly contemplating the various possibilities of the future. Just then, light footsteps approached, interrupting their thoughts. A traveler dressed in strange attire, with a mysterious air about him, joined them.

"If I'm not mistaken, you two are the legendary warriors, aren't you?" the stranger asked with a smile, a hint of mockery in his voice. "You've conquered the power of nature and won the favor of divine beasts; your names have spread far and wide."

The young traveler and Leia exchanged a smile, offering no direct response, but their confidence and composure spoke volumes.

"My name is Casa, and I am a wandering troubadour." The stranger's self-introduction was simple and direct. "I am always searching for untold stories, and your stories are undoubtedly the brightest spot that attracts me the most."

"Bard, are your journeys also full of stories?" Leia asked curiously.

“Oh, miss, every footprint is an unfinished poem, every gust of wind a legend yet to be told.” A hint of nostalgia flashed in Kasa’s eyes. “However, I am more curious about your future. It is said that the Endless Sea is fraught with danger, and the forgotten islands hide ancient secrets and unpredictable perils. Are you really sure you can succeed?”

"Seizing opportunities doesn't come from the ability to predict the future, but from the courage to face the unknown," the young traveler said firmly. "As long as there is light in your heart, the road will never be dark."

Casa nodded, a hint of admiration flashing in his eyes: "Commendable courage. Then, please allow me to send you off with a poem, may it be a lamp on your journey."

He then cleared his throat and began to recite an impromptu poem, and the surrounding crowd gradually quieted down to listen to this unexpected verse:

"In the deepest undercurrents before dawn,"

They are an unceasing light, illuminating the unknown journey.

Even with the fiercest winds and waves, the island's silhouette remains hazy.

Faith is like a sword, emerging at dawn and slicing through the sky.

Once sealed by ice, the desert trials strengthened his will.

The wings of mythical beasts guide the brave through the clouds to the edge of the sun.

Every soul awakens, the flame of hope is passed on.

They are not only travelers, but also guides to the light.

The call of the endless sea, the secrets of the sleeping islands,

Waiting for those eyes that seek the truth.

The fear of the unknown is nothing more than the whisper of the night.

Beneath their feet, the dawn will eventually break.

So listen, the world's heartbeat resonates with them.

Look, every step you take blossoms into a field of hopeful green.

Their story is to be continued.

It is the beginning of a dream, and the prologue to a legend.

As the recitation concluded, applause erupted from all around, the eyes of the people filled with excitement and anticipation. The young traveler and Leia exchanged a smile; they knew this was not merely a poem, but a force, a testament to the people's yearning for light and their celebration of courage.

“Thank you for your poem, Casa.” The young traveler extended his hand. “It will be a precious treasure on our journey.”

“You’re welcome, warrior.” Kasa shook his hand. “It was your stories that sparked my inspiration. Remember, when the world is plunged into darkness, there are always people in the distance holding up a candle for the light. I look forward to your return, bringing back more miracles and hope.”

As night deepened, the crowd gradually dispersed, leaving only three travelers standing on the terrace, gazing at the starry sky, each harboring different dreams and expectations.

“Then, farewell.” Kasa finally broke the silence, turning and disappearing into the night. “Have a pleasant journey, and may the stars guide your way.”

"Kasa, perhaps one day, our story will become part of your chants," Leia said softly, watching him leave.

The young traveler gently patted Leia on the shoulder: "It's time to set off, Leia. No matter what lies ahead, as long as we're together, there's no difficulty we can't overcome."

The two walked side by side into the depths of the night. Under the starlight, their figures appeared both small and magnificent, like two cosmic explorers about to embark on a journey, carrying the dreams and hopes of everyone, heading towards the unknown islands in the endless sea.

"So, Leia, are you ready to welcome the next miracle?" the young traveler asked in the night wind, his words filled with boundless anticipation for the future.

“Always ready, my partner.” Leia’s answer was firm and warm, like the brightest North Star in the night sky, guiding their way.
