Chapter 21 Exploring the Stars

"Is it Mars? I've always dreamed of seeing humans build a base on that red land," a boy wearing a baseball cap said excitedly to his companion, his eyes gleaming with longing.

“Perhaps, even further,” his companion replied, his eyes also filled with longing for the unknown world. “Deep space exploration, or even the exploration of other star systems, as long as we dare to imagine.”

At this moment, an elderly professor stepped out from the crowd. He stroked his gray beard, his eyes deep and thoughtful: "Young people, your passion reminds me of my own youth. Space, that vast and boundless realm, always inspires humanity's most primal curiosity and desire to explore. However, remember that behind every step forward lies countless failures and restarts; the path of science is never easy."

The audience around the professor was moved by his words and nodded in agreement. A mother gently said to her child, "My dear, no matter how big your dream is, I will support you, just like these people, bravely moving towards your dream."

The little boy nodded as if he understood, but hope for the future had already been planted in his eyes.

"Speaking of which, what's so special about Researcher Lin's microsatellites?" asked a young man wearing glasses who looked like a science enthusiast.

"It's said to be equipped with a brand-new communication technology that can maintain stable transmission in extreme environments. If successful, it will greatly advance the development of deep space communication," another person who seemed to know the story explained, sparking a lively discussion among those around them.

Just as the conversation was getting more and more heated, Su Mo and Li Haoran once again attracted everyone's attention. Beside them, a staff member in uniform rushed over, looking excited.

"Teacher Su, Teacher Li, there's urgent news! We just received a signal from the space station. They've detected the data transmitted back by that microsatellite, and it's astonishing. Preliminary analysis shows that the performance of that new technology far exceeds expectations!"

As soon as he finished speaking, the scene erupted in an uproar. People whispered among themselves, their surprise and excitement evident in their expressions.

"Incredible!" "It seems our space program is about to take another giant leap forward!" "This is the strength of our country; it makes us so proud!"

Lin Yue walked over from the edge of the crowd, a faint smile on her face, but her eyes brimming with undisguised excitement: "This is not only a technological breakthrough, but also a huge encouragement to our spirit of exploration. It tells us that as long as we keep trying and dare to innovate, there is no destination we cannot reach."

As the discussion intensified, Su Mo and Li Haoran exchanged a glance, as if silently communicating about some important decision. Finally, Su Mo raised her hand, signaling for everyone to quiet down.

"Friends, everything we've seen today is just the beginning. We have a bold idea we'd like to share with you—we plan to establish an open research platform, inviting more friends who love aerospace to join us in exploring the unknown and weaving everyone's dreams into a bridge to the stars."

Li Haoran then added, "Yes, whether you are a student, an engineer, or an ordinary enthusiast, as long as you have a dream and are willing to contribute to the exploration of the universe, we welcome you to join us. Let us work together to create a space age that belongs to all mankind."

The crowd's reaction was unusually enthusiastic; applause and cheers mingled together, forming a powerful force that seemed to pierce the clouds and reach the depths of the universe.

"This is an absolutely fantastic proposal!" "I want to join them and contribute to space exploration!" "Let's set sail together towards the stars!"

Amidst the jubilation, a little girl held her father's hand, looked up at him with earnest eyes, and said, "Dad, I want to be one of them too, so that our names can also shine under the starry sky."

The father lowered his head, his eyes shining with tenderness: "Of course, darling. From now on, let's work together, and nothing is impossible."

Night fell again, but the town remained brightly lit, and the people, their hearts pounding, lingered, reluctant to leave. Under the starlight, a new dream was quietly taking root and sprouting, and the unfinished question, like a seed, was deeply planted in everyone's heart:

"This is not just a technological leap, but also a spiritual journey!" an elderly man exclaimed with deep emotion. His voice, though slightly weathered, was full of excitement. "At my age, to be able to witness such a great moment is truly a blessing."

“You’re right, Grandpa!” a young man chimed in, his eyes shining with admiration. “They are true pioneers, illuminating the path ahead with their wisdom and courage. I’ve decided that I want to join them and become that glimmer of light.”

"Well done, kid! You have ambition!" The old man patted the young man on the shoulder, his eyes full of satisfaction.

At this moment, a group of young people who looked like college students gathered in a corner and started talking amongst themselves.

“Our school also has an aerospace club. We used to think it was just small-scale stuff, but now it seems we can do something big too.” One of them pushed up his glasses, his eyes shining with unprecedented determination.

“Yeah, if I could get involved in a project like this, I wouldn’t have to worry about my graduation project,” another person said with a smile, his tone a mix of joke and anticipation.

"Don't just think about your graduation project; this is a project that concerns the future of humanity," a girl reminded seriously, but the smile on her lips betrayed her excitement. "Think about it, our technology and creativity might just be the key to unlocking a new world!"

"That's right, we have to pull off something big!" Everyone said in unison, exchanging smiles as if they could already see the scene of working together to overcome difficulties in the future.

Su Mo and Li Haoran stood in the center of the crowd, enveloped by this enthusiasm. They looked at each other, their eyes filled with both emotion and determination. Li Haoran spoke softly, "Look, isn't this the flame we want to ignite?"

Su Mo smiled slightly and nodded: "It's even more enthusiastic than we expected. Now it's time to turn this passion into action."

Just as the crowd's emotions reached their peak, a simply dressed but spirited elderly man squeezed through the crowd. He grasped Su Mo's hand tightly, his eyes full of anticipation: "I am a retired aerospace worker. Although I can no longer fly into space myself, I have a wealth of stories and experiences to share. Is there a place for me on your platform?"

A tear glistened in Su Mo's eyes, and her voice choked with emotion: "Senior, you are our most valuable asset, and your joining us would be our greatest honor."

"That's wonderful!" The old man smiled like a child. "My greatest wish is that the dreams of our generation can blossom in your hands."

As night deepened and the crowds gradually dispersed, their passion and determination, like the brightest star in the night sky, continued to illuminate the hearts of those who harbored dreams. On the streets of the small town, a couple strolled hand in hand. The girl whispered, "Do you think our children will one day be like Su Mo and his friends, bravely pursuing the stars and the sea?"

The boy held the girl's hand tightly, his gaze unwavering: "It will. Because this world always belongs to those who dare to dream and strive tirelessly for it."

The two smiled at each other and made a vow about their future in the night breeze.

"Where will we go next?"
