Chapter 309 Unbelievable

As soon as Arthur finished speaking, the atmosphere on the battlefield became even more tense. The newcomer nodded slightly, and a powerful energy fluctuation instantly surged around her. She stretched out her hand, her fingertips lightly tracing a line, and countless invisible threads seemed to vibrate in the air, emitting a crisp sound.

"How did she do that?" A young soldier stared at her in astonishment, his eyes filled with bewilderment and amazement.

The old hunter beside him also showed a surprised expression, "This power... could it be the legendary high-level mage?"

Arya gripped her bow tightly, shifting her gaze from the woman to Arthur. "Can we really trust her?"

Arthur nodded firmly. "There's no time to hesitate. She seems to be the only option. Let's trust her this once."

Karl roared from the side, "Brothers, attack with all your might! Don't give these monsters a chance to breathe!" With his command, the warriors swung their swords and slashed at the surrounding bat monsters, and the battle raged on.

Dark clouds churned in the sky, and Celesto's voice rang out again, this time filled with even more anger and arrogance, "You think a mere new face can turn the tide? I'll show you what despair truly means!"

The mysterious woman curled her lips into a cold smile. "Celesto, you overestimate yourself. Today is your end!"

Having said that, she raised her hands high and chanted a complex incantation. Instantly, the sky and earth changed color, and a dazzling light shot out from her hands, soaring into the sky and tearing a corner of the dark clouds.

"That is..." Arya was speechless with surprise. Her arrows seemed to gain even greater power in the light, shooting with lightning speed and unparalleled accuracy.

"Amazing!" the villagers exclaimed excitedly, their eyes sparkling with admiration and anticipation.

During the battle, Lorenzo was equally determined. He fought alongside the woman, unleashing a powerful combined spell to repel wave after wave of monsters. Their seamless teamwork clearly indicated they had undergone rigorous training.

Just as everyone was gradually gaining the upper hand, suddenly, a violent roar came from the sky above the battlefield, followed by a huge and terrifying creature descending from the sky—its body was as large as a dragon, its body was covered with hard scales, and its eyes shone with a bloodthirsty red light.

"A dragon?!" Everyone was stunned, and even Celeste's voice trembled slightly. "This is my last trump card. You absolutely cannot defeat it!"

The woman frowned and said in a low voice, "I didn't expect him to have such power... but we must not let him continue to run rampant."

Arthur gripped his sword tightly and shouted, "Everyone, maintain formation and prepare for the real challenge!"

The dragon slowly swooped down, its wings whipping up a fierce wind. The villagers' defenses were on the verge of collapse, but in this life-or-death situation, not one of them chose to give up or run away. On the contrary, their fighting spirit grew even stronger, as if their very souls had been ignited.

At this moment, the mysterious woman made her move again. She chanted an extremely ancient and powerful incantation, and countless stars suddenly appeared in the sky above the entire battlefield. These stars transformed into specks of light, which fell onto the giant dragon, each ray of light seemingly possessing the power to destroy everything.

The dragon roared in agony, struggling frantically in an attempt to fight back. But with everyone united, this seemingly invincible being gradually showed signs of defeat…

Just as everyone was immersed in the atmosphere of impending victory, the woman suddenly stopped her incantation, turned to Arthur and said seriously, "Although the situation has improved, this dragon is only a facade. Celeste's real weakness is not here; we must find it as soon as possible, or everything will be in vain."

"Then... what should we do?" Arthur asked, frowning.

The woman took a deep breath. "The answer can only be found at the heart of the dark lair. There lies the key to true victory. But we must be careful, for the path is fraught with unknown dangers..."

She paused, gazing into the darkness in the distance, and added softly, "And we don't have much time left..."

Arthur gripped the hilt of his sword tightly, his gaze resolute. "No matter what dangers lie ahead, we will not back down. For the sake of this land and its people, we must advance into the dark lair and find Celesto's true weakness."

With this decision made, a new journey is about to begin...

As soon as Arthur finished speaking, the surrounding warriors responded with firm voices.

“Yes, we must move forward!” a young knight shouted, his voice filled with fearless determination.

"We cannot let Celesto continue to wreak havoc, for our homeland, for freedom!" Karl gripped his axe tightly, his eyes blazing with fury.

Arya nodded, her eyes shining with determination: "We've been through too much already, we can't give up at this point."

The mysterious woman smiled slightly, her voice carrying a hint of warmth: "Very good. With your determination, we will surely overcome all difficulties. Now, follow me!"

She turned and walked toward the dark lair, her steps calm and resolute. The warriors followed closely behind, their eyes filled with anticipation and hope for the future.

On their journey to the dark lair, they encountered countless dangers and challenges: behemoths, traps, ghostly presences... but none of this could stop them.

"Watch your step!" the old hunter suddenly warned. "That's the silk of a dark spider; don't get tangled in it!"

Arya swiftly drew her dagger and severed a nearly invisible thread. "Thank you, sir. I'm so glad you reminded me."

"You're welcome, young lady. Take care of yourself." The old hunter replied with a smile, inwardly marveling at the fact that this team not only had powerful warriors but also heroes who possessed both wisdom and courage.

Just as the group was passing through a dense forest, a series of low roars suddenly came from the air, as if something terrible was quietly approaching.

"What is that?" Lorenzo asked nervously.

“They are magical beasts, and there’s more than one,” the mysterious woman said in a deep voice. “It seems we need to finish this quickly.”

As soon as the words were spoken, several enormous beasts rushed out of the bushes, each with sharp fangs and claws, their eyes burning with greed and a bloodlust.

"Prepare for battle!" Karl roared, taking the lead and swinging his axe to meet the attack.

"Archers, get ready!" Arya shouted, and arrows rained down on the monsters.

The warriors' attacks were precise and deadly, each arrow hitting its target, but the sheer number of these beasts caused chaos on the battlefield.

Just then, the mysterious woman chanted an ancient incantation, and a beam of light shot out from her hand, sending a demonic beast flying.

"That's amazing!" A young recruit stared at her with wide eyes, his face full of admiration.

"Don't panic, everyone! Fight according to the training! Hold your ground and don't give them a chance to breathe!" Arthur's calm and collected voice rang out on the battlefield, inspiring everyone.

As time went on, despite the fierce battle, the monsters were gradually defeated thanks to the mysterious woman's powerful magic and the warriors' valiant efforts.

"Phew...it's finally over." Karl wiped the sweat from his forehead and breathed a sigh of relief.

“We cannot let our guard down yet. The Dark Nest is just ahead, and the real challenge awaits us.” Arthur’s gaze remained grim.

Just as they were about to continue, a villager came running up, panting.

"Wait a minute, Captain!" he shouted as he ran. "The village chief asked me to bring you some important news—Celesto seems to be making a move; he's mobilizing more troops to come this way!"

Upon hearing this sudden news, everyone present couldn't help but show expressions of astonishment.

"How could this be?" Arya exclaimed in surprise. "Did he really find reinforcements so quickly?"

“The situation doesn’t look good,” the mysterious woman frowned. “But now that we’re here, we absolutely cannot back down. The more Celesto acts this way, the faster we need to go.”

"So what should we do?" Carl asked.

Arthur took a deep breath and said firmly, "We must act immediately and find that core. Only then can we completely resolve this crisis. Let's go, time is running out!"

"Yes, follow!" The mysterious woman nodded and led everyone on their journey once again.

And so, this courageous and determined squad once again embarked on the unknown path, heading into the depths of darkness, leaving behind only the fading scent of battle...

"Go for it, Arthur, you must come back safely..." The villagers who stayed behind watched their figures gradually disappear into the distance, silently praying in their hearts.
