Chapter 6 Summer Vacation Classes

"Look, those are Su Mo and Mo Qingxue. I heard they're planning to open free tutoring classes during the summer vacation!" In the market, two middle-aged women buying vegetables whispered to each other, their eyes full of admiration. "It's rare to see young people like this nowadays, both talented and grateful."

Su Mo and Mo Qingxue bumped into each other on the street and smiled. Their story seemed to have unknowingly become a beautiful tale in the small town.

"It seems our plan has already spread," Su Mo said with a smile, his eyes sparkling with joy and anticipation. "We need to prepare well and not let everyone down."

“Yes, I’ve already started organizing the key points and study methods for high school courses these past few days,” Mo Qingxue replied earnestly, her eyes sparkling with a love for knowledge. “I think it’s worth it if we can help even one child.”

Days passed, and Su Mo and Mo Qingxue's free tutoring class began as scheduled, with the town's library becoming their new battleground. On the first day, the number of children who signed up far exceeded expectations, and the small room was crowded with eyes eager to learn.

"Big brother, big sister, my parents said that if I can get into a top high school, they'll take me to an amusement park!" a skinny boy said with a face full of longing.

"Then keep going, Xiao Jie, we believe in you!" Mo Qingxue bent down to encourage him, her gentleness making Xiao Jie's eyes light up.

As time went by, more and more stories about Su Mo and Mo Qingxue's tutoring class circulated in the small town. They not only taught, but also used their actions to convey positive energy and inspire every child who was pursuing their dreams.

"I used to think that studying was a chore. But seeing you all, I feel like I've found the joy in learning." In the tutoring class, a girl who usually avoided the camera stood up this time, her eyes sparkling with unprecedented confidence and determination.

“Yes, learning is indeed not easy, but it can be the key to a wider world.” Su Mo patted the girl’s shoulder gently, his gaze warm and profound. “The key is to find your motivation, and then everything will no longer be so difficult.”

During this period, every effort that Su Mo and Mo Qingxue made was seen by the people of the town, and they were full of praise. However, some people had doubts.

"What are they trying to achieve by doing this?" an uncle asked the people around him in the teahouse, puzzled.

"What's the point? Just to have peace of mind," teahouse owner Lao Liu slowly chimed in. "In today's society, who doesn't want to climb the ladder? But these young people choose to turn around and lend a hand to others. They deserve our thumbs up."

In the blink of an eye, the tutoring program was coming to an end, and Su Mo was about to embark on her journey to university. The residents of the small town spontaneously organized a farewell party, and once again, dazzling fireworks rose into the night sky.

"Su Mo, we will miss you after you leave." The children in the tutoring class had tears in their eyes, but also full of blessings.

“I will miss you all, but please remember, no matter where I am, this is my root.” Su Mo’s voice was slightly choked, but his eyes were incredibly firm. “And I promise you, every year during the holidays, I will come back to see you all and continue our tutoring classes.”

As night deepened, the conversations at the farewell party gradually thinned out, and people dispersed one after another. Su Mo and Mo Qingxue stood alone in the center of the empty square, gazing up at the starry sky.

“Su Mo, in the next four years, you may meet all kinds of people and see a wider world.” Mo Qingxue spoke softly, her eyes sparkling. “But I believe that your heart will never change.”

Su Mo held her hand tightly, a gentle smile playing on his lips: "Xiao Xue, distance is not a problem. If our hearts are connected, what fear is there of mountains and rivers? No matter how far the road ahead may be, I will always remember the starlight and promise we made today."

A gentle night breeze carried a silent understanding and reluctance between the two. Just then, a shooting star streaked across the sky, eliciting gasps from the crowd as if foreshadowing an unknown wonder.

"Look, a shooting star! Make a wish!" Su Mo said softly, her eyes reflecting the brilliance of the shooting star.

Mo Qingxue closed her eyes and made a sincere wish. When she opened her eyes again and looked at Su Mo, their eyes met, and without a word, everything was understood.

"Then let us carry these beautiful memories with us as we face our respective challenges until we meet again," Mo Qingxue said softly, her eyes filled with both reluctance and anticipation for the future.

“Yes, Xiaoxue, until our next reunion,” Su Mo replied. Their hands were clasped tightly together, as if declaring to the world that no matter how long and unknown the road ahead, they would walk hand in hand and bravely move forward.

In another corner of the market, several students who had just finished class were having a lively discussion. "Have you heard? In Su Mo and Mo Qingxue's tutoring class, one of the kids who used to be at the bottom of the class is now almost in the top ten of the grade!" a boy wearing glasses exclaimed.

"Really? Then I need to go and get some extra lessons from them. Maybe I'll finally get the hang of math." The girl next to her clapped her hands, her eyes filled with longing for a miracle to happen.

Just then, an elderly teacher passed by, overheard their conversation, and interjected with a smile: "Young people, the power of knowledge is boundless, but even more important is the willingness to help others. Su Mo and Mo Qingxue, they have lit the lamp of hope in this small town in their own way."

Upon hearing this, the students nodded in agreement, their eyes revealing admiration and longing for their two seniors. A usually quiet boy suddenly spoke up: "I hope that one day I can become like that, not just for myself, but also to light the way for others."

Time flies, and a year has passed in the blink of an eye. Outside the town's library, a group of children gathered together, excitedly discussing the upcoming summer vacation. "Sister Mo said that there will be a mystery guest at this year's tutoring classes!" a chubby little boy eagerly shared the inside information.

"A mystery guest? Could it be..." The children chattered amongst themselves, speculating on all sorts of possibilities, their faces beaming with anticipation.

Finally, the first day of the tutoring class arrived. When Su Mo unexpectedly appeared on the podium, the entire classroom erupted in cheers. "Brother Su, you're really back!" The children cheered, their eyes shining with excitement.

Su Mo looked around and said with deep emotion, "I promised I would come back. And I won't come back alone." He turned and gestured towards the door. Amidst the expectant gazes of everyone, a gentle and refined young man entered the classroom. It was Li Haoran, a young scholar who had returned from abroad and Su Mo's close friend from university.

"Hello everyone, I am Li Haoran. Starting today, I will be working with Su Mo and Mo Qingxue to lead you in exploring the ocean of knowledge." Li Haoran's gentle words immediately won enthusiastic applause from the children.

In the days that followed, the atmosphere in the tutoring class became even more enthusiastic. Li Haoran brought not only innovative teaching methods, but also stories from the other side of the world, inspiring the children's boundless curiosity and longing for the outside world.

One day after school, Su Mo, Mo Qingxue, and Li Haoran sat on the steps of the library, watching children chasing and playing in the sunset. "I never imagined that our small efforts could bring about such a big change," Mo Qingxue remarked.

Li Haoran smiled, a hint of determination flashing in his eyes: "The changes have only just begun, and I think we can do more. For example, we can establish a scholarship foundation for the children here to encourage them to bravely pursue their dreams."

Su Mo slapped his thigh and said excitedly, "Yes, we can launch a 'Dream Takes Flight' project to let knowledge become their wings to fly."

Just then, a passerby overheard their conversation, stopped in his tracks, and exclaimed in astonishment, "You...you are truly amazing! It's such a blessing for our town to have teachers like you."

The three exchanged a smile, their hearts filled with warmth and strength. They knew the road ahead was long, but as long as they had love and dreams in their hearts, they could overcome all difficulties and create more miracles.

As night fell, Su Mo whispered to Mo Qingxue, "Xiaoxue, Haoran, we may face more challenges in the future, but as long as we unite, nothing is impossible."

“Yes, whether it’s windy or sunny, as long as we have light in our hearts, we can light each other’s way.” Mo Qingxue held their hands tightly, the starlight in her eyes brighter than the night sky.

Li Haoran smiled and said, "Then it's settled. Let's work together to write more beautiful stories with knowledge and love."

The three figures blended into one in the darkening sky, as if telling the world that there is a power called perseverance and faith, which can turn the impossible into possible.
