Chapter 53 Departure

"Thank you, Mayor. And please believe that light will surely bloom in everyone's heart." The girl gently raised the sacred artifact, and the soft light flowing over it seemed to respond to everyone's expectations. In an instant, the entire square was enveloped in a warm atmosphere.

Just as they were preparing to leave and continue their mission, a child broke free from his mother's hand and ran to the boy, his eyes full of curiosity and admiration: "Big brother, can you tell me how I can become as brave and righteous as you?"

The boy knelt down, gently patted the child's head, and said with a smile, "Child, courage and light are not far away. When you choose to persevere in the face of difficulties and lend a helping hand to others without expecting anything in return, you are already a part of the light. Remember, everyone has a lamp in their heart. Light it, and the light will naturally guide you forward."

The child's mother's eyes reddened, and she nodded gratefully. The surrounding crowd erupted in admiration and applause once again. This moment was not only an affirmation of the young boy and his companions, but also a resonance with the belief in light.

“Look, they are not just warriors, but also messengers who sow the seeds of light,” an old woman in the crowd exclaimed, her voice filled with pride and hope.

“Yes, their story will become a legend that will be sung for thousands of years,” the young man beside him responded, his eyes sparkling with longing for the future.

In this atmosphere, the group of teenagers embarked on a new journey, each step so resolute, for they knew that this was not only their battle, but also the battle shared by every heart that yearns for light and peace.

As their figures receded into the distance until they disappeared below the horizon, the entire city seemed to be immersed in deep thought, with everyone reflecting on what kind of light they could bring to the world.

Outside the city gate, a lone crow perched on a branch, seemingly listening to everything, before flapping its wings and disappearing into the sky. It was as if even the creatures of nature were moved by this scene, foreshadowing the beginning of change.

"So, where do we go next?" the elf asked softly in the group, his eyes sparkling with excitement for the unknown and determination for his mission.

"Go to the places that need light the most." The boy looked into the distance, his eyes filled with a depth beyond his years. "Whether it's a remote town or a bustling city, wherever there is shadow, there we will be spreading light."

"Alright! Then let us become that ray of light piercing through the clouds!" The knight raised his shield, brimming with heroic spirit.

The laughter of the group echoed in the wind, accompanied not only by the power of the sacred artifact, but also by the unwavering faith in the light in everyone's hearts.

"The road ahead is long, but as long as we're together, there's no darkness we can't overcome." The girl hugged the sacred artifact tightly, her gaze resolute. Her voice, though soft, was like a clear spring, cleansing the hearts of every listener.

As the sun sets, their shadows are stretched long, like a road drawn on the earth leading to light. On this road, countless stories await them to write, discover, and illuminate.

"Then let's set off, toward the light, never stopping."

The boy had barely finished speaking when a sudden gust of wind whipped up their clothes, as if nature were responding to their determination. Outside the city gate, several members of a passing caravan stopped, watching these unusual travelers and whispering amongst themselves.

"Look at those people, are they the legendary messengers of light? They are so dashing!" a burly man with a full beard exclaimed, his eyes full of envy.

“Yes, I’ve heard that wherever they go, the darkness is dispelled. I really hope they can pass through our village.” The young woman beside her clenched her hands, her eyes filled with anticipation.

“Light will always shine in every corner, won’t it?” An elderly man with white hair joined the conversation with a smile, his eyes sparkling with wisdom. “Seeing them reminds me of the days when I was young and chasing my dreams.”

The dwarf craftsman in the group suddenly stopped and turned to look at the conversation between the passersby. A warm smile appeared on his broad face. "Your hope is our motivation," he replied in a deep voice, drawing gasps and applause.

In a small village not far ahead, the news had already spread like wildfire. The village children ran around excitedly, sharing their magical stories about the messenger of light.

"Mommy, Mommy! I heard that those older brothers and sisters who can make the night as bright as day are coming to our area!" A little boy tugged at his mother's clothes, his eyes sparkling with excitement.

"Really, baby? Then we'd better prepare ourselves well and welcome them with the purest hearts." The young mother smiled and stroked her child's head, a long-lost warmth and hope welling up in her heart.

As night fell, the group set up camp outside the village. Villagers came out of their homes, holding lanterns, and surrounded them, creating warm halos of light.

"Excuse me, can you really use that sacred artifact to dispel the dark forest beside our village?" An elder, carrying the hopes of the entire village, asked the boy tremblingly.

The boy stood up, the sacred artifact glowing faintly in his hand. "We do our best, but true light comes from the courage and kindness in everyone's heart. Let us work together to make this world a brighter place."

The next morning, as the first rays of sunlight pierced through the clouds, the boy and his companions, hand in hand with the villagers, stepped into the dark forest. With each step they took, the surrounding trees seemed to gradually shed their shadows under their unwavering will, revealing long-lost vitality.

"Wow! The fruit on the trees has become sweeter, and the flowers have bloomed!" a little girl following behind the group exclaimed in surprise, her discovery eliciting cheers from those around her.

And so, under the guidance of the messenger of light, the gloom between the village and the forest gradually dissipated, replaced by unprecedented harmony and prosperity.

"It's a miracle! They're like heroes who fell from the sky!" The villagers sat around the campfire, discussing the situation enthusiastically.

“Perhaps everyone can be a hero in their own life,” the old woman said slowly, her eyes looking through the flickering flames at the group of boys playing with children in the distance. “As long as we are willing to radiate our own light, no matter how faint, it can gather into an ocean.”

In the night sky, the stars began to twinkle, as if adding the perfect footnote to this journey.

"So, where is the next destination?" the elf asked softly by the tent, her eyes filled with both anticipation for the unknown and satisfaction with what she had already accomplished.

The boy gazed up at the starry sky, a mysterious smile playing on his lips. "The stars guide us to the places where our hearts most need light. For light knows no bounds, and love is endless."

As the words fell, the entire camp fell into a peaceful and sacred atmosphere, with everyone filled with boundless expectations for the future and unwavering faith in this journey to light.

"Then, no matter what lies ahead, we will walk side by side." The knight pounded his chest, his vow resounding.
