"Take a leave of absence from school?"
Qi Yuexi's eyes widened, and she unconsciously raised her voice, "Who dropped out of school?"
The driver glanced at Qi Yuexi, then quickly lowered his head. "Miss Jian."
"..." Qi Yuexi frowned, looking puzzled. "Jian Yu?"
"Yes, I have confirmed with Ms. Jian's advisor that Ms. Jian has applied for a year's leave of absence from school due to health reasons."
After confirming that the driver wasn't joking, Qi Yuexi's face darkened. "Why did she drop out of school? Isn't she perfectly healthy?"
The driver stammered, "Ms. Jian originally planned to drop out of school, but because of her excellent grades, the counselor felt it was a pity and helped her change it to a year's leave of absence."
"She still wants to drop out of school?" Qi Yuexi's sharp gaze shot towards the driver, who quickly lowered his head. "That's what the counselor said."

The counselor was chatting with a colleague when the office door was pushed open forcefully. The counselor looked up unhappily and saw a luxuriously dressed lady storming in.
The counselor paused for a moment, "Who are you looking for?"

The driver stepped forward and explained with a smile, "Hello, Counselor Liu, this is my wife, the parent of Jian Yu. She has some questions about Jian Yu's leave of absence from school, so she came to ask."
The counselor nodded. "So you're Jian Yu's parent, sir. Didn't I just tell you?"
The driver said, "Yes, thank you for your help, Counselor Liu. My wife just wants to know more."

“Jian Yu’s counselor said she has been on leave of absence for several months.”

"She knew she had a cough but didn't take medicine right away. She kept delaying until it got serious and she had to be hospitalized. Luckily I wasn't home, or I would have given her a good talking to."
As soon as Qi Yuexi said that, even the driver and bodyguards began to show strange expressions.
Aunt Li twirled her fingers. "What would Madam like to drink?"
Qi Yuexi stopped and said, "Make me a cup of herbal tea to cool me down. I'm so hot right now, my mouth will get dry if I don't cool down."
Aunt Li nodded and jogged into the tea room.
Perhaps because she was still angry, Qi Yuexi choked while drinking tea and suddenly coughed violently, her voice filled with a heart-wrenching pain.
