Chapter 30 Pingxian

When the sharp tip of the knife pierced through the wooden board and emerged, Xiao Nanhui's thoughts drifted away for a moment.

This knife really suits the moon tonight.

Last quarter moon.

Curved and pointed.

With a loud crack, the pierced plank shattered into pieces, and two dark figures emerged from the bridge from below. Why that particular plank? Because it was positioned right between Ding Weixiang and Zhongli Jing, thus separating them.

The location chosen for this breakthrough was truly tricky. Xiao Nanhui thought so, looking at Ding Weixiang's increasingly panicked and shocked face through the falling wood fragments, and actually felt like laughing.

Zhongli Jing's body tilted to one side due to losing balance, and the assassin's knife tip followed closely behind him like a silver fish jumping out of the water.

Xiao Nanhui sighed secretly.

Forget it, they have been through thick and thin together all the way, and she can't really just stand by and watch him die.

A powerful force struck Zhongli Jing's waist, sending tiny water droplets scattering before his eyes, mixed with the stars in the sky. The inky night sky spun and twisted, finally coming to a stop. The man's dark pupils trembled slightly, and his unfocused gaze finally settled on the flowing hair before him.

The woman's arm, like a soft yet firm rope, was clasped tightly around his waist. A calm yet slightly excited voice rang in his ears.

"Hold on tight."

The assassin was about to succeed, but the person in front of him suddenly disappeared, and then a black shadow came towards him. He drew his sword and chopped it down hard, but saw a pile of ginseng and ganoderma lucidum falling on his head.

"What a waste!" Xiao Nanhui cried out in pain, but his men were not idle. They grabbed Zhongli Jing with one hand and kicked him forward. The assassin couldn't dodge in time and flew out.

On the other side, the assassin who was fighting with Ding Weixiang turned around when he heard the sound, only to see his companion falling over. He was distracted and was stabbed.

Because of the sudden fight, the entire cable bridge was shaking. Two of the four chains that originally held the two sections had broken, and the remaining two were also in danger.

If you keep wasting time, you'll die here.

Xiao Nanhui picked up Zhongli and ran to the other side. Before the assassin could get up, he stepped on him.

Seeing this, Ding Weixiang quickly flew up to catch up, and the two assassins followed closely behind him, with scimitars in their hands flying out one after another.

The sharp wind blew towards the back of his head. Xiao Nanhui couldn't free his hands at all and shouted at Ding Weixiang, "Block it!"

Ding Weixiang's mind was completely on the man in the woman's arms. He reached out to block the attack with the knife before it was even unsheathed. The scimitar missed its target and with a whoosh, it cut off half of Xiao Nanhui's hair.

Xiao Nan was so angry that he was fuming, but now he was in a hurry to escape, and he had no time to reason with the man.

With a snap, another chain snapped, and the entire bridge instantly lost its balance and tilted to one side. Xiao Nan turned her head and saw the wooden planks falling like dead leaves in a strong wind, one by one, into the roaring river below the cliff. The collapsed bridge instantly forced its way towards her, and she threw Zhongli in her arms towards Ding Weixiang.

"Your people, follow!"

Ding Weixiang hurriedly caught the man, looked for a foothold, and jumped to the end of the bridge.

On the bridge, Shrike looked at the collapsed bridge deck, feeling dizzy and could only shout at the top of his voice: "Hurry up! The bridge is collapsing!"

Xiao Nanhui was exhausted from running around, and he also had to pay attention to the knife flying behind his head. He shouted in anger, "Do you need me to tell you?! Rope! Throw the rope!"

Shrike turned around and took out a piece of hemp rope from his luggage, then threw it out with all his strength.

Ding Weixiang was closest to the bridge head, and he immediately grabbed the rope. With the help of the shrike, he successfully brought Zhongli to the other side.

Shrike reeled in the rope and threw it back toward Xiao Nanhui. Unexpectedly, the rope was cut in two by the assassin's scimitar halfway through the air. This happened two or three times, the rope getting shorter and shorter. Xiao Nanhui turned around and yelled, "Fuck you!"

The assassin responded to her with two big swords. Now all three of them had only a chain supporting them. No matter the opponent's attack or Xiao Nan's dodging, it was like a circus. However, this chain could not hold for long.

The other party seemed determined to drag someone into the water and refused to give up no matter what. Xiao Nanhui saw an opportunity and turned back to shout at the Shrike: "Cut the chain!"

Shrike was stunned for a moment and didn't move immediately. Xiao Nanhui urged again: "Hurry up and cut!"

Before he finished speaking, Ding Weixiang had already drawn his sword at a high speed. With a "swish" sound in the air, the only remaining iron chain of the cable bridge broke instantly, and the three people on the chain fell into the water mist one after another.

Shrike got anxious and glared at Ding Weixiang: "I told you to chop me down, and you really did?!"

Ding Weixiang pursed his lips and said nothing. He grabbed the Shrike who was about to jump off the cliff and motioned her to look in the direction where the rope bridge disappeared.

The three people on the bridge held their breath and looked down, only to see a ray of silver light piercing through the mist.

Snap, snap, snap, three crisp sounds.

The silver light suddenly increased several times in length and penetrated into the cliff like a flash of lightning.

The gravel rolled down, and the mist was pushed to both sides like a thin veil, and it was seen that the silver light turned out to be a □□.

The next second, a pair of hands came following the silver spear. Xiao Nanhui grabbed the thrown spear shaft and his falling figure stopped in mid-air instantly.

The gun barrel made of fine steel was bent into an incredible arc under the action of gravity, reflecting bright light under the moonlight, like a rising crescent moon.

The next second, with the help of the rebound force of the gun barrel, Xiao Nanhui jumped high on the cliff, pulled the □□ out of the cliff with her backhand, and quickly threw it to a higher place. After this back and forth, her hand could reach the top of the cliff. Shrike and Ding Weixiang grabbed her on both sides and pulled her up from the bottom.
