Chapter 3 was filmed reasonably well, but it was a bit arrogant.

At this point, a picture naturally formed in Li Tangyan's mind.

In the dimly lit base, Wen Zhaonian's long legs were crossed and lazily propped up on the sandalwood table in front of him, while the folding chair behind him made a creaking sound as it rubbed against the ground from time to time.

He held a stack of red Mao Zedong bills between his slender, long fingers.

Then, with a flick of his finger, he tossed it onto the table.

A cheer erupted from below, followed by a deep, resonant voice:

It's getting dark; it's time to divide the money.

...

Li Tangyan was eventually amused by this sudden imagining and burst out laughing.

However, when she looked up, she met Wen Zhaonian's gaze, which seemed to shine with cold light.

At this moment, his narrow, phoenix-shaped eyes narrowed slightly, and with a long stride, he moved a little closer to her.

When Li Tangyan was enveloped in a shadow, her words carried a hint of barely perceptible danger: "What are you thinking about? You seem quite happy. Why don't you tell me so I can have a laugh too?"

The laughter stopped abruptly, and Li Tangyan covered her face, which was burning from his gaze, with both hands.

Fearing that her suspicions would be discovered, she turned her head away to deny it vehemently: "I...I wasn't thinking anything. You can't wrong me just because I look funny."

As Li Tangyan said this, she almost slapped herself twice and spat on herself.

You better think carefully about this nonsense that claims to hurt the enemy eight hundred while harming yourself a thousand. Who would believe that?

On the other side, Wen Zhaonian looked at Li Tangyan's slightly lowered head, her flushed ears revealing her clumsy lie.

Wen Zhaonian felt that Li Tangyan probably didn't know that he was like a squirrel that had been secretly eating nuts just a second ago, with its cheeks bulging.

But when it was discovered, it opened its round eyes wide, then curled its fluffy tail and swept it away from its outstretched hand, putting on an innocent look.

Thinking of this, Wen Zhaonian's eyes darkened, as if hiding some turbulent emotions.

After a while, his tightly pursed lips moved slightly, and then he turned his head away, averting his gaze from Li Tangyan.

Meanwhile, just as Li Tangyan felt her palms starting to get a little damp, the light that had been blocked overhead came back down, casting two long shadows on the ground.

Li Tangyan looked up and saw that Wen Zhaonian had already turned around and was about to leave.

She breathed a sigh of relief, then smiled faintly again and quickly moved to the seat next to Wen Zhaonian.

She tiptoed, tilting her head slightly to look at Wen Zhaonian, who was staring straight ahead, as if trying to observe his current mood: "I saw a newly opened shop on the way here, it looks pretty good. Come on, my treat?"

Wen Zhaonian did not stop walking. Although his gaze was fixed on the front, he seemed to be fully aware of Li Tangyan's little actions.

He raised his hand, his slender, white index finger landing precisely on the center of Li Tangyan's brow, then gently moving it back a little.

Li Tangyan's heels touched the ground again, and before she could even feel the coolness on her fingertips for a couple more seconds, Wen Zhaonian had already withdrawn his hand and said directly, "I'm not going, I'm not hungry, I have my own money."

If anyone else had heard Wen Zhaonian say that, they wouldn't have dared to continue.

However, Li Tangyan was no stranger to Wen Zhaonian. After nearly a month of contact, Li Tangyan believed that she had gained a general understanding of Wen Zhaonian's temperament.

If he gets really impatient, he won't even acknowledge you, let alone listen to your rambling.

As she thought this, Li Tangyan's clear black and white eyes darted around in their sockets, and a low chuckle escaped her throat.

Like a frog being boiled in lukewarm water, it will eventually be cooked.

As Li Tangyan was thinking this, her gaze fell precisely on Wen Zhaonian's steps, which had slowed down at some point.

A sly glint flashed in his eyes: "Then you pay and watch me eat."

"..."

The small porridge shop is simply decorated, with warm sunlight streaming down from above, illuminating the room.

Outside the glass window, the sky had already turned a light blue, and stalls began to appear one after another along the once quiet streets.

Pedestrians hurried by, their shouts adding a touch of everyday life to the bustling city of Z in the evening.

"Are you going to keep laughing?" In the porridge shop, Wen Zhaonian looked at Li Tangyan across from him, whose shoulders were twitching uncontrollably, and who was trying to hide her laughter with her clumsy acting of hanging her head.

His voice was low and threatening.

"Stop laughing, stop laughing." Hearing this, Li Tangyan quickly waved her hand, afraid that if she was too slow to reply, Wen Zhaonian would put up a sign saying "Dogs and Li Tangyan, stay away" the next day.

However, despite saying that, her gaze still drifted towards him intentionally or unintentionally.

Strangely enough, the owner of this shop didn't know what he was thinking, but the tables and chairs he set up were all of medium to low height.

So much so that when Wen Zhaonian, a man with long arms and legs, sat down, he looked like a dimwit who had stolen a small stool from the kindergarten next door, making the scene hilarious no matter how you looked at it.

At the same time, Wen Zhaonian raised his eyes and his gaze fell on her.

At this moment, Li Tangyan was sitting upright and prim. If it weren't for the fleeting twitch at the corner of her mouth and the way she secretly pinched her thigh behind her back, Wen Zhaonian could probably still believe her by a fraction of a second.

The two stared at each other for a while, and just when Li Tangyan felt she couldn't hold on any longer, she heard him scoff.

Then, resting her chin on her hand, she tilted her head and looked away, saying, "Fine, whatever."

The man's tilt of his head made it easier for Li Tangyan to focus her gaze on his face.

She had long, willow-like eyebrows, a high and straight nose, and thin, lightly pursed lips.

The hand resting on the chin has distinct knuckles, and the veins on the back of the hand are slightly protruding, as if waiting for the fingertips to move so that the muscles between them can be tightened.

Like a painting created by splashing ink, it stirs up the desire to collect and possess it exclusively.

Thinking of this, Li Tangyan quietly took out her phone and turned on the camera function for Wen Zhaonian.

She deliberately ignored her rapidly beating heart due to nervousness, and her damp palms revealed her guilt, as if she were cheating on an exam.

As the countdown in her heart ended, Li Tangyan silently exhaled, and then mustered up the courage to move her fingertip to the circle at the bottom of the phone.

The next second, as her fingertip touched the screen, a bright flash, accompanied by several clear and distinct clicking sounds, brought her sneaky behavior into the open.

Facing the teasing gazes of everyone, Li Tangyan finally couldn't help but curse inwardly:

Wow, who changed my settings again?!

However, before she could find a hole to hide in, a hand reached out in front of her.

With a flick of his finger, he hooked Li Tangyan's phone into his palm.

Then, following the still-lit screen, my gaze settled on the few pieces of "evidence" that Li Tangyan hadn't had time to destroy.

"The filming is alright, but it's a bit arrogant."

Wen Zhaonian looked at the photo, his tone calm as if he weren't the one being photographed.
